Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great meal was had- they looked after 15 Kiwi cyclists with perfection - many had Cassolette du canard - a favoured regional dish cooked to perfection - nice friendly staff were very helpful to our group

I give “wow” when a restaurant checks all the boxes for it’s niche. This does that and more. Traditional French countryside fare in a quaint setting. The cassoulet is outstanding!!! Wow!!

We went for lunch with a large local group who were full of local knowledge. It was superb, the cassoulet was delicious the flan truly flavoursome. It was very busy and we would advise booking certainly for lunchtime. We hope to go again.

We moored up our hire boat on the canal and walked about a mile to Villefranche de Lauragais. It was difficult to find this place, but worth it. We had a delicious meal and the staff were very friendly, so much so that the boss...gave us a lift back to our boat when a taxi could not be found for us.More

Haven't been to this restaurant for a while as we live in Toulouse, but always remembered that they served the best cassoulet. They had moved from the High Street to this new location so had a drive around looking for them. But it was worth...it. The cassoulet is still fantastic, far better than any others we have tried. So we will continue to drive from Toulouse to pick up a take-away or eat in the restaurant which is fresh, bright and contemporary.More

Great reception at arrival. Bikes were places in lock-up shed. Suitcases had already been placed in the rooms. Our room for 3 adults was spacious. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent, service was a bit slow, but friendly.

A family Saturday lunch at this smart casual restaurant (attached to the Hotel) in Castelnaudary, home of Cassoulet was memorable. The signature dish was a fine example, flavoursome and rich with a good balance between meats and beans. The tete de veau was also highly...praised by my French sister in law! A good list of regional and more distant wines was reasonably priced. Desserts were all excellent. The décor is simple and quite modern in feel and the staff were delightful. An excellent place if you are visiting the area. I cannot comment on the Hotel itself as we were non-resident.More

Whilst driving on an oft travelled route from Toulouse to Carcassonne it was chance that I stopped here for dinner because most of the other restaurants on that route were closed - in France that is a problem one experiences on Mondays. It was a...pleasingly rewarding chance visit as my companions and I were able to dine in a pleasent enviroment; were served by friendly and couteous staff and savoured dishes which were well cooked and well presented. I will certainly be putting this restaurtantn on my 'to stoip at' list.More

We were going for the cassoulet which was absolutly living up to our expectations. The hotel - and restaurant - is definitely not charming seen form the outside - and nor the view to a parkinglot and the trains in the backyard of the restaurant....But that's not to be considered when you take the wonderful food and the charming and friendly, polite and present staff into consideration. We had the menu with buffet for starters including different kinds of ham and sausages, bread and pates and a goat cheese salad. Both were fine and plenty. Dessert were an icecream with nougat and some berries and a soft chocolate brownie in custard - also very nice and enough. Prices are reasonable and you can even buy the cassoulet in cans to bring back home!More
