A nice lunch on our return to Rome after a long weekend on the Adriatic. The place is not fancy but demonstrates class and good taste in its choices of decor and menu. We learned about it from Cinzia Mancini, chef at Bottega Culinaria, and it was well worth the stop. Staff is friendly, quick and responsive. A lunch for five ran just a bit over €100. The agriturismo also sells flour and other products from around the area.

Taking a tour in the areas around L'Aquila we came across a restaurant where you can taste excellent local products Agriturismo Terre di Solina. The place is very welcoming and the amount of tables is appropriate to its size. We enjoyed excellent dishes, whose ingredients are often their own production. A delicate lentil soup with a small of river shrimp, excellent crepe timballini with vegetable ratatouille and saffron, tasty spaghetti verrigni with river shrimp, mint and lemon Grilled lamb and finally a delicious pear tart. All accompanied by their organic wine, a wonderful Trebbiano mixed with Malvasia. The owners then offered us gentian, and ratafia made by him. What about .... our experience was really satisfying and I believe we will return to enjoy other dishes.

After two years of trying to finally go there, on the way back from the big rock, I called and it was open. A pleasant find although actually from the reviews I already understood that it was a great place. Very nice environment, there is a large room with a beautiful window overlooking the garden and the village in the distance. Another room a little smaller but connected with the big one where instead there are tables for two for those who want more privacy, even here overlooking the garden. Air-conditioned environment, outside in Capestrano today there were 33 ° although a very low humidity. Professional and friendly staff. I think I tried the best salami ever tasted, they also told me the name of the local company that supplies it but unfortunately I forgot Dishes all delicious and partly prepared with local products, primarily saffron. In September I was told they will also open rooms for overnight stays. Exceptional value for money In short super recommended

We had been their guests in 2018 and immediately fell in love. Unfortunately we returned and did not try the same emotion: starting from the menu, with little choice and none of the specialties we remembered. The staff did not even give us a smile, despite a Reservation and arrival on time. The biggest problem was found with the appetizer: very little and too expensive. The main dishes, despite being brought at incorrect times, were appreciated by everyone. The desserts below average: the cheese cake was with sheep cheese, not specified on the menu, and not appreciated for the too strong taste. Icing on the cake: the wrong bill and that we had to examine carefully, to avoid overpayment. The biggest disappointment: no no nod of apology from the staff.

Arrived at 13:10 we started eating at 15:00 appetizers, moreover devoid of any really poor flavor. At 15:10 comes the cutlet with chips for my 6-year-old son, who has been waiting for 2 hours. We waited for the first and here we reached the mouse, spaghetti without shrimp, raw ravioli floating on oil, raw and completely cold crepes. Inedible everything, except the bread basket with 4 slices. The worst thing the absolutely non-existent staff not to mention the welcome not even a smile. Congratulations. Big mistake not to leave immediately. Obviously we had to pay without even a slight no discount for poor food.

Beautiful experience with my partner. All for a very reasonable price too. We will not forget it, not even a year open for a business and they are already excelling at a top notch yet humble eating experience

Before writing about the restaurant, i need to spend some words about the philosophy and the inspiration of Carla and Alfonso...Instead living in a good living quality city, the chose to jump in this adventure...respect for the enviroment, take mother nature's course, heritage preservation, sow ancient wheat, stone grinding, ...it leads to a genuine menu, high digestibility plates, forgotten tastes! In addition we were greeted by Carla's smile and hospitality, a sign of the curious and genuine humanity of our land of Abruzzo. Must experience it!

We enjoyed a special 'archeofarm' dinner at the restaurant: Alfonso, the owner, together with a team of archeologists, had created a multiple courses dinner to make it possible to taste the ingredients and the meals the italic tribes of the area originally ate. Very nice and tasty combinations, a rich meal in an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere. Also, I appreciated the special attention I was given as a coeliac, with great glutenfree options especially prepared for me. Cherry on the cake, Alfonso, who is very passionate about his area and roots, took his time to talk (and guide us, the day after, on an informal appointment he made with us!) through the stories of the ancient populations and who inhabited the area, showing us what remains: from an archeological site to an ancient amphitheatre. Thank you very much for the experience.

I had the pleasure of eating here. The service and good was beyond outstanding. A definite restaurant worth a Michelin star. I was treated like family and left extremely satisfied and full that I must have gained at least two pounds. Can’t wait to go there again when I return to Italy.

I loved my stay at Terre di Solina and HIGHLY reccommends to visit. The room was worthy of a Queen and I loved the detail with the bathroomdoor concieled as a closet. The food they prepare in the restaurant is amazing! And the breakfast might be one of the best I've ever had. 😊 I will deffinatly visit again.

Per qualsiasi amante del slow food, questo è un posto fantastico. L'esperienza é stata, dal capo alla fine, meravigliosa. Our meal was exceptional, and we had the chance to speak with not only Carla and Alfonso, the owners, but also with their lovely son and Alfonso's friendly sister. What a find! We were given a delicious cream of zucchini soup to start, and then we each chose a plate of pasta. The truffle fettuccelle were gorgeous, with plenty of delicate truffle shavings. Not overpowering - just delectable. The gnocchi were perfectly cooked and presented - with zucchini flowers and local saffron. Our daughter devoured the perfectly simple sauteed swiss chard (though she prefers not to touch the stuff at home!), and later declared the homemade blackberry gelato to be the best ice cream of her life. Everything (wine, olive oil, bread, pasta, veggies, fruit, etc.) is grown and prepared by the family. Incredible! We can't wait to come back next year!!!

There is one word I can think of to describe our stay at Terre di Solino. ‘Exceptional’. Very nice rooms and the main lodge area is clean and comfortable. Alfonso and Carla bring a wealth of knowledge about their products and follow genuine processes respecting the products they grow. They went out of their way to supply us with knowledgable contacts in nearby towns we visited. They also took us on tours of the national park, a church in Capestrano and took us truffle hunting. They quite simply made our vacation so much better. The restaurant was very good where we also had a truffle inspired meal based on our forging experience. Additionally you are able to purchase their excellent products (including the ‘farina di Solina') which makes for an added experience when you come home. Grazie a voi Carla ed Alfonso!

Carla and Alfonso are wonderful hosts! We stayed at Terra di Solina for 7 nights in November 2017 and they looked after every detail for us. The food was fantastic, rooms are very comfortable, clean and have all the amenities. We would definitely stay again and look forward to our next visit. Location of this agriturismo is in a very quaint area and great for day trips to nearby towns. A peaceful environment nestled in the Abruzzo countryside - great for r&r. We highly recommend staying at Terra di Solina!

My cousin and I were in the area for some business and saw the agriturismo but thought it wasn't open that evening. However it was and we went in. Great food and loved the decor and atmosphere. Had a wonderful starter made from the solina grain that the restaurant is named for. Then had polenta with ground sausage and mushrooms on top. I'm more familiar with a yellowish colour polenta where this was a light brown and it was really good. Finished with the veal my cousin had lamb both very good. Will definitely go again.
