Arrived at hotel for one night stay and decided on Island Basket after seeing recommendation.
The food was wonderful just what we needed after a long journey and included mussels in ouzo, grilled prawns bought by size, whitebait, sardines, Greek salad and more. All excellent.
So good we went back on our return journey from Athens airport and it was superb again.
Just ensure you taxi driver knows where it is first and doesn’t fiddle you with the round the motorway route.
It should only take 8/10 minutes to get there about 15 euros and boy it’s worth it. Well done all, most enjoyable.

Fantastic authentic Greek cuisine served so close to the aegean you'll hear the waves. The waiters are the right mix of attentive and friendly while not being overbearing.
The menu is very good, there is plenty of choice for everyone whatever your fancy and the food came hot, fresh and at a good pace for a long boozy late lunch. If I had one complaint I wouldn't recommend the lamb chops, while tasty there was very little meat on them for the price. Otherwise the food was great value, and beautiful.
Worth a visit if you're near by for sure!

Is better possible?
Is there a score beyond A+? Broad menu with English made it too easy to be undecided for dinner! Started with ouzo and mouthwatering baked feta cheese in phyllo and honey and finished with baked gilthead bream, salmon salad and pork gyros. Huge portions, reasonable prices, efficient service, and the ambiance of beachside dining as the moon rose above the Aegean. Better is not possible.

Pleasant atmosphere at the beach and friendly staff.
Fine classical greek starters, but the main course was very under cooked. We ordered house wine with our dinner, but it was fermented. The wine was swiftly changed, but the waiters never came around to help us change the main course...
In all a slow and negative experience...
Two stars for location and the friendly staff...

We came for lunch with a family to this place. Before we even had a chance to look at the menu, the waiter brought defrosted raw fish in front of us, to ask if we wanted that fish to be cooked for us. We said no as we didn’t even have a chance to look at the menu. Later on we ordered, some things were brought to us what we did not ask for, but we said it’s okay. We waited for 1 hour and eventually we were brought what we ordered plus that big cooked fish that we were offered at the beginning but we clearly said no. The food was very good and we would go back for the food, but our order was messed couple times and we just felt like we wanted to get out of there. The waiter did not even write down what we were ordering. Regarding the food, sea food platter and octopus were very tasty and fresh.

We should have known that the hard sell to get us in to the almost empty restaurant was a red flag. The food was awful. A side order of French fries (which the waiter encouraged us to get as he said there would not be any with the main dishes) was served as if it were a starter, 15 minutes before the mains arrived. The French fries were dry and hollow and completely cold by the time the mains arrived. The vegetables accompanying the fish were greasy and swimming in balsamic glaze. The chicken was so dry it was hard to swallow. One of our party ordered a cheese burger that was not a burger but two greasy patties on a bed of hard chips covered in grilled cheese. None of the food tasted fresh. But still the bill for 4 people came to over 65 euros.

We checked shop front menu earlier in the day, and decided the prices were similar to what we had been paying during the last 6 weeks. However when we were presented with in house menus, the price was nearly 50% higher ( lamb chops 9€ shop front were now 13.50€) First response was “it’s old menu”. Second response “takeaway price”. We declined water and bread. Our bill arrived and there was a 2€ charge “for sitting at the table!” We asked for complaints book, but were denied. Our 2€ was refunded after protracted discussion.

We visited this place on Sunday. We ordered various plates and menu #1, which included dessert/ice cream. The food was bad. Plus, when we finished and waited for the dessert, the waiter told us that "it was over". Since it was part of the menu and they didn't have it, they should have reduced the price of it. Instead, they told us that "they are going to treat us a double one next time". Unprofessional and not good. Don't waste your money there, the other taverns are full, whereas I.B. had some full tables. Now we know why.

This restaurant has the usual spruikers out front to get you in. They will promise you best prices just to get your business.
Water comes to the table whether you want it or not. And there’s 2E to start with. Next comes the bread etc….. Then your order starts and you’re already 4E down if you don’t want it.
This is a common right across Greece so beware!
In our travels travel through Greece, we have had watered down wine, tap water filled water bottles sold to us as mineral!

It is a restaurant close to the beach. There are several restaurants in the area but we chose that as a friend recommended. Although it was a busy day and went there on rather peak hours, service was fast and food was good. Nothing special though.

We had an afternoon to spend in Athens before heading home to US and decided to head to the ocean versus Athens city. We had AMAZING lunch at the Ocean Basket. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was outstanding. Anastasis our server was attentive and saw to our every need. It was so nice sitting listening and looking at the water and beach. Inches away from our table. Just what we needed! Would highly recommend!

The view is good. BUT. First, we didn’t eat the bread, we said that we wouldn’t have it (because we wouldn’t pay it) and at the end, we pay it ! It’s unacceptable! Then, it’s boring that people came to propose something but obviously don’t say that it’s not free. Moreover, we pay a lot for a bad quality and a little plate. I don’t recommend.

Our hotel staff drove us here only 10 minutes away from the comfort stay hotel. Very good seafood mixed platters. We had the prawns, fish and squid. Not over cooked at all. Best prawns in Greece. Quaint Beach dinning. A lot of fun taking in the scenes of Greek families enjoying their last hours of a long holiday weekend. Very friendly staff. We arrived just in time to snag a water front on the beach table, fabulous! It was our last night in Greece after three weeks here, perfect! Busy little town bustling with happy people! Menu prices seem expensive, share, portions are huge here.
