Tuesday evening 12th October and we visited this restaurant, a few streets back from the seafront, for dinner.
Beatriz was our waitress, we shown to our table and provided with the menus. Once we had made our minds up we ordered, to share, a Diavoli pizza and a salad, Insalata de la Miele as well as 2 large beers,
When served the salad was beautifully presented, a shame to disturb it, the pizza was a positive tasty meat feast.
We had a very enjoyable evening in plesant surroundings, tasty reasonable priced food served by friendly attentive staff.
Amazingly, when we asked for the bill the whole lot came to €22, superb value The pizza was €8.10, the salad €7.90 and the 2 beers €6
We did actually try to revisit here, one evening later in our holiday, unclear what nights open did not see the opening hours.

We arrived around 7pm on a busy New Year’s Eve without a reservation and asked if they had a table for 2. They did but it was reserved from 8.30. We happily took the table. To start we shared prawn parcels in a pink sauce which were lovely. Lasagna and Mont Blanc pizza followed and both were great also had a very good bottle of red. Service faultless and friendly,food great and well priced.

I went here on my own on a cool night when the wind was blowing from the northwest and the waves were crashing on the beach with plenty of drama. I was made very welcome by charming and entertaining staff (always great when you're by yourself) and thoroughly enjoyed pizza. As I ate the whole thing, I didn't have room for dessert, but I polished off the wine. Interesting menu, plenty of choice. I'd definitely go back.

We both left our meals. The pizza was soggy and uncooked and the pasta was served in congealed lumps, tasting of condensed milk. We are not fussy and have never left a meal before. Although the staff were pleasant and efficient, they said nothing. A very disappointing experience.

We went with my family like every time we visit the island but this time it caught our attention that when we called to reserve on a Saturday they told us no problem.
Once in the restaurant we realized that the waiters were not the usual ones. When we go to order they tell us that only pasta and pizza are served (there are no starters). We place our order and have to wait approximately 15 minutes for our drinks to be served and then almost an hour for our food. The waiters running around not knowing what to do at any given moment.
We left without dessert because they were incapable of organizing themselves. The food is good but I think the wait and lack of organization make us think about visiting again.

We had dinner at this restaurant two years ago. Upon returning to La Gomera we thought about repeating, as it was a good experience, but I stopped to read the comments first. If I had listened to the comments I read I would not have repeated, but we decided to come back. Both the service and the food were excellent. The pasta was spectacular and the waiters attention was according to how the occupancy restaurant was. Must visit if you come to Valle Gran Rey.

During X-mas week La Islita was one of the few restaurants to be open. We were happy with the pizza and lasagne. They also had a nice wine list. Service was friendly. If you want to sit outside, it might be good to make a table reservation.

Good italian food. Our spaghetti alle vongole was very good. We also liked the castello di verdure and the fiocchi di gamberitti. One other night, we enjoyed the pizza casanova. The Ravioli alla riccione was OK. The insalata al miele had a fine taste. House wine is OK. Staff is very friendly, professional and efficient. Maybe a bit busy and in a hurry. Do eat here and make sure that you make a reservation in advance.

A three because the food really wasn't that bad, but the deal leaves a lot to be desired. Waiter too high-handed. We asked in advance if we could go with little dog, they told us that if and when we went they put a bad face and cornered us on a table. If they mind animals to say yes. I won't come back even if I get paid!!!

Where Is the italian food?
A worst Restaurant in Gomera.
I was there whit my family, the worst experience in the Island.
We eated Pasta and we trow up all the night.

Quite simply this was probably the best food I have had for many a year.
The food was delicious, well presented and served with a smile.
Great selection of pizza and the most fantastic pasta dishes.
Unfortunately the restaurant closed for a whole month vacation after our second night in Valle Gran Rey.
I can honestly say that given the lack of quality restaurants in the resort we would have eaten here every night had that been possible. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
