Brilliant experience that had to be repaeted

We visited once and had to rebook. Food and service absolutely superb. I asked the waitress what the chef was doing in La Gomera when the quality suggested he should be in a major restaurant elsewhere in the world! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Great food and service

This place was already fully booked early at thursday eve but we got a reservation two days later. We had the tuna fish for starters and sea bass with risotto for main course, flushed down with a bottle of verdejo. The food was fresh and delicious and service very friendly and attentive. A great culinary experience. Book a table in advance!

The best place to enjoy dinner in VGR

Since our last three trips to La Gomera, this is our number one place to enjoy a late night dinner. We always are seated on the best outside table for unique & artistic drinks, main meal and desserts, all prepared and served by the nicest staff on the island. Liebe Grüsse von Basel CH D&D

Way overhyped. We won't return.

Granted, the tuna they serve is excellent. All else: mediocre or worse. Two of us did not enjoy anything we ordered. Sweet-potato soup was thin as water and so sweet it tasted like desert. Sea bass was a tiny portion (with the skin still on) overwhelmed in a plate of bland cauliflower sauce. Vegetables? Almost none! Risotto tasted like 25% salt. Service was rushed and not sincerely friendly, yet we had to wait, and wait, and wait (30 to 40 minutes) for dinner to arrive. Perhaps the positive reviews have gone to their head? We won't return. There are many other, far superior restaurants in Gran Rey, including Baifo, Tuyo, and Salsa, where we've enjoyed much better meals and our patronage was genuinely appreciated.

One of the best meals I've had this year. The chef must be a sensitive and creative person! Each dish better than the last. We shared and enjoyed every bite. I'm so glad we came in a group of seven so we could all taste so many things. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Especially the pulop, carillada, y un gyro fresco y diferente. Todos comimos bien y el servicio fue a tope tope. Una experiencia maravillosa.

The best restaurant on the island!

This restaurant made our stay on the island. The service is great and the food is amazing. The combination of tastes and the attention to detail and quality of preparation is unparalleled to any other restaurant we have visited. We might go back there only to dine again. Beware that restaurant is not open all year round (only October to May) and it’s good to book a table.

I just had to visit this amazing place for the second time in a week even though my husband was prevented. Glad I did. Fantastic flavor combinations of good ingredients, exciting menu, beautifully decorated and really sweet service, who had given me a table where it was ok to sit alone. My best recommendations for everyone who loves good food in an unpretentious atmosphere.

What a relief this restaurant is. Fantastic great food, super friendly service. Something really different from the “Spanish cuisine and service” This makes us happy. And then dessert, Cowardly chocolate cake with ice cream. Highly recommended. 👍🏻🙌🏻

Yesterday we drove to Valle Grey Rey just for the restaurant. We were there right when it opened, but there were no tables left. We waited 2.5 hours and it was so worth it. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. It was a great experience for us and if we were back on La Gomera, it would be the first restaurant we would go to. The only thing we would recommend is to make a reservation in advance and if you make the same mistake as us, the wait is worth it!!

For us the best restaurant in the Valle

We stayed twice during our stay in the Valle at this restaurant. If you want something else on your plate than in the many other restaurants on the island, you have to go here. Very refined, creative dishes and top friendly staff. But...nothing works without making a reservation. You can also do this simply by email and in German. We tested various starters: Ceviche, Tunatatar and Burrata...all super delicious! As a main course there was a grilled sea bass, which was well grilled and still juicy. There was also a wakame risotto and beurre blanc - perfectly prepared and delicious in taste! My husband had tuna that was perfectly fried. It's certainly a little more expensive than other restaurants but worth every penny! For us the best restaurant in the Valle

There's no question that the next generation will also claim first place in the Valle! Anyone who loves more ambitious cuisine with unusual creations - especially the tuna in a tempura coating on wasabi mashed potatoes - is in good hands here. Always worth a visit

I have been to Colorado countless times and it was a delight as always. The menu has been slightly modified compared to last year and has been further improved. The veal rump (sous vide) was super tender and with the carrots and jus it was exactly my taste. Great! Many thanks to Cornelius and his team.

Very nice setting, proactive and friendly waitresses. My partner and I were delighted with our choice of menu. Chicken, corn and truffled puree and for squid on black bean puree. Everything was delicious and refined.

We were lucky enough to get a table on the last night of our stay and we were so pleased that we did. The food here is excellent and stands out from the crowd, it is delicious. Please make sure you reserve a table here if you are visiting VGR, it's not to be missed.
