A small intimate restaurant.
The service was very good and the staff very welcoming.
The nicest spaghetti carbonara I’ve had. The pancetta was lovely and smoky and the sauce flavour was full of depth.
One of the finest Irish coffees I’ve also had and would highly recommend to try one.
Ricardo the manager was very nice to deal with and was very chatty.
I would recommend a visit to try some very authentic Italian cuisine.

Riccardo, our server, did a great job accommodating my brothers’ and my many severe allergies. We are all allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish (and my brother is also severely allergic to beef, eggs, and potatoes) and he was really knowledgeable about all of the ingredients in the food and made sure our experience was safe. Would recommend for anyone with allergies!

I visit this restaurant quite often, the familiar atmosphere, attentive staff and amazing food keep me coming back as much as I can.
From their daily specials, to homemade desserts, the That's Amore menu caters to anyone who comes.
The restaurant has been around for a long time, and with each visit I can see exactly why.
I would recommend this homely place to anyone who likes to savour their food, and taste a calm corner of the Mediterranean. You will not be disappointed.

I recently visited the restaurant with my family, my two years old started crying because he was hungry and the food was taking too long to be ready, the manager approached me and asked me to “contain” my baby for which I replied what would he suggest, a cage maybe? I felt disrespected and undermined, not only as a mother but as a woman as well, the service was disgusting and he looked at me with scorn eye. I don’t recommend this restaurant with you’re going with your family, definitely not a family friendly environment

first at all let me thank you for the 2 stars at the food,
i strongly believe that the message you want to convey regarding our restaurant, will not find much consensus among those who know us, we are probably the most family friendly place in Malahide,for the past 20 years.We love children(have look our Instagram and facebook pages to see all the family that enjoy dining with us)..we had a quick look at the cctv june 9 at lounge time, we seen that the food arrived after 19 minutes, with a big table dinning at the same time with u (on the big couch), all our food is make from scratch,( I SUGGEST IF YOU GET FOOD FASTER,PROBABLY IS NOT FRESH) the manager approached you after a good hour you were there., our manager is well known for his friendly,kind and not intrusive ways ,if he decided to invite you to reassure the child, is so evident he will have had his good reasons( or you still believe the story that customer is always right?)
Let to be honest, we can write all we like here, to accuse or defend each others, the problem is an other one Ana,some parents(thanks God a very small minority),believes that when entering a public place, everything is legal and allowed, children screaming, running around tables, destroy all the sugar sachet on the tables,or even better mix it with extra virgin olive oil,
in the total disinterest of who are working or those who simply trying to enjoy a nice dinner in peace.
Here ,there is very little to discuss with those parents, the feel disrespected and undermined, not only as parents but also as a person as well.
i can only use one word before you come to social media to act like keyboard lions... RESPECT , for the people who do this job

Went Xmas eve with family of 5 for our traditional Xmas eve lunch at 12 midday . It was a 3 course set menu for the day that we had to preorder from . Not everyone was hungry enough for 3 courses given how early the setting was.
Food quality was good as was service but the bill + tip came to an eye watering €300 .
Only 1 of us had all 3 courses , also had 1 bottle of house wine .
We have being going to That’s Amore for years & really like it but Xmas eve really felt like price gouging !
No problem preordering - but suggest you work off your a la carte menu - even a restricted one .

Recent visit very disappointed. Ordered HawaiianPizza. Served bland from frozen. Complained & ordered spaghetti bolognaise instead. Server said ‘chef was insulted’ when I asked why, was told Italian restaurants don’t normally serve Hawaiian pizza, it’s for Irish customers they put it on. Oops 🙊 does the chef realise that he works in Ireland & Irish people know the difference between fresh & frozen& he felt insulted that he served a frozen pizza. shame on you mr. Chef & server who was smart & rude.what was insulting was full priced charged & no apology. Avoid.

A welcoming location. Acting as a 'side dish', the dining room staff: ready to satisfy every need with a smile. Attentive to customers. What about the quality of the cuisine? Excellent! Italian cuisine in Malahide, thanks to its chef, finds its way along the sea... reaching That's Amore.
From starters to desserts, from first courses to second courses, dishes are rich in every sense: sight, taste and smell are among the first to be satisfied.

We have been going to this little Italian Restaurant for quite a few years and it has been one of our favourites. Unfortunately our last couple of visits have been quite disappointing. Firstly the front of house managers attitude is quite arrogant and a little rude. The portion sizes have reduced considerably while prices have increased and our last sitting was for 90 mins, which we were reminded of by the aforementioned manager standing by our table looking at his watch.vwe were accompanied by our well behaved 4 year old grandson who was twiddling a €4 euro candle holder which was snatched from his hands when his Pizza arrived and placed back in the centre of the table. Then heard rude comments to other teenage customers who accidentally broke a glass.Not sure I will be returning. I think the manager needs a break. The atmosphere was not relaxed or enjoyable.

I have been eating out in Malahide for 20 years now and I have been to every restaurant! That’s Amoré is my absolute favourite! It never disappoints! I go there regularly with my husband and we also go with our children, and it’s a firm favourite of ours. I have never once had a negative experience. Ricardo is fantastic and always greets us with a warm and friendly smile. The food is excellent! The Tagliatelle Al Boscaiola is divine! My husband had the lobster special yesterday and it was fantastic - at €35 that’s an absolute bargain these days! The prices in That’s Amoré are very reasonable compared with other restaurants in the area and the wine list, also reasonably priced, is excellent! Special mention to our lovely server Mattel yesterday - he enhanced an already wonderful dining experience! Looking forward to our next visit 🍽️

The food was ok but a bit bland, we had Salmon, which was a bit burned, and Carbonara, which was both OK but not special taste wise, however. The sauce was moist and spaghetti Al dente. The wine was lovely but very little in the glass. For what it was a little pricey. The manager was young and arrogant and when we paid we were asked "do you want change back?" 😏 strange...
I love Italy and I love Italian food, as this restaurant has great reviews I would go again, maybe it was just that night and ppl are exhausted after the busy period

That's amore is the place where every person who wants to eat good Italian cuisine must go. For those who are celiac and have gluten intolerances, the cuisine is also gluten free with attention to detail and excellent. The products are delicious and Italian and the hospitality is exceptional. Before the start of dinner there is also an excellent aperitif. The staff is welcoming, helpful and always with a smile. Truly a spectacle, thank you!!

I enjoyed my meal. I stuck to the specials: a vegetable soup and frittura. The Food was nice, the fish seemed fresh and not overly greasy. Attentive service, with a smile. The desert (canola) was very good too. Reasonably priced.

I was in That's Amore on Sunday and had a typical Italian style dish, which included a tomato sauce with chopped tomatoes, black olives and basil on top of a beautiful piece of sea bass. The staff were friendly and attentive. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals and I would recommend this restaurant and will be back again.
Also, they appear to have given the place a revamp and they now have two stylish toilets where before they only had one. So, all good!

Friends, who live in Ireland, collected us at Grand Hotel, and we headed to this restaurant for dinner; it would have been a very easy walk. We had no reservation but we’re seated, and told that the table would be needed a couple of hours later. That was quite ok with us. Our young server was charming, the food was delicious, as was the recommended wine.
I really appreciated the non- interruptive service; we were glanced at, and since we were engaged in conversation, were not disturbed; that’s a well-trained server. Having local families enjoying dinner together was a lovely bonus.
We left happily sated, and our friends were pleased to have discovered a restaurant new to them. Grazie!
