We were there for a family birthday, the food was very good but the service was awful. We were in an upstairs private room which was very cold, we had to ask twice for the heat to be turned on. The waitress took our orders and starters arrived about 20 minutes later. After our dishes were collected a waiter arrived and asked us to confirm our main course orders, as the waitress had forgotten to write some of them down. We were then waiting about 40 minutes for the mains to be brought up, when they did arrive they were piping hot and very enjoyable.
On the whole I would say that although the food was good the level of service makes me not want to rush back.

We got a take akay.
*4 is a good rating in my mind and I think it is fair.
It won't blow your mind with a michellin star performance... But they don't charge michellin prices either.
I ordered, went to the supermarket and didn't have to wait to pick it up when I finish shopping 15 min later
I'll go there again, no doubt about that

Ate here with a group of 20 family members and friends. I was never impressed with the quality of the takeaway food so was reluctant to come here. However, after having a sit down meal i was totally changed. All the food was fresh, hot and plenty. The service to go with it was excellent. Well worth trying the dumplings for starter....delicious!

Me and my family order from chungs Chinese takeaway at least 3 times a week we have had so many issues with them but this time I’ve finally had it, I ordered my food at 9:30pm and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes so went over at 9:45pm. Every single one of the 4 staff that were working did not ask me what I was waiting on or anything of the sort (all the staff know who I am and know I’m waiting on collection) but the restaurant was busy so I let it slide eventually I was told my one of the staff that my food was not ready yet which is fine, they continued to keep opening and closing the door in my face. Eventually I was than asked IF I EVEN ORDERED! I told them I ordered a half an hour ago it was 10pm the girl went and looked for my receipt and no one sent it to the chef my order wasn’t even being cooked!!!! Still no sorry from any of them! I was told that next time to ask can I pay for my food to make sure my order went to the chef, sorry but that is not a customers job it is the workers job not mine! I was than given a free can of Coke still no sorry’s given! I asked could I have prawn crackers (which I always ask for and pay for unless there given to me on the house) the girl came up and said ‘NO we’ve none bye’. How rude! How do they get away with not giving respect to customers they are a disgrace for service and unfortunately I will not be ordering from them again! Disgraceful service!

We travel extensively throughout many many coublntries, eating in some fabulous and not so fabulous restaurants. We recently had a celebration meal in Chungs, and had the misfortune to be served by the most downright and outstandingly rude member of staff any of us had ever witnessed. NOTHING was please, or thank you, "move that mobile phone NOW" was one of many comments.
I am aware people may have issues outside of work, but that is just it.... outside of work, and not to ABUSE paying public.
The food was good.. but ruined 100% by this horrendous person. If I were the management I would have her dismissed, there are so many lovely people looking for work, and that imbecile does not deserve to be kept on.
If you have the misfortune to have SHIRLEY as your waitress, cancel and walk out !!

Great place, I've had several parties, meals here & never disappointed. Shirley, Aileen, Jack & team do a great job looking after you. The food is so fresh and tasty. Great family friendly restaurant.

My 3rd time to eat here, and would rather have never returned after the first time (these last 2 times were groups, where I had no choice in the venue).
The food is terrible (despite being very hungry, I gave up after 4 mouthfuls) and the service is appalling. Hands-down the most rude, obnoxious waitress I've ever come across .
I wouldn't eat here if you
A) Have tastebuds
B) Don't want to be treated like dirt as a paying customer.

Ive been touring round the country in a caravan for a good few years now and eating a chicken curry in each chinese I could find to see if I can find the best one... Chungs takes the title !!!! so far anyways,,,, The curry sauce is not the usual 'yellow' mild fare, this stuff is a bit darker and full of curry spice and flavour and a nice bit of heat there too and lots of chicken onions and peas,,,, perfect..... delivered to the local caravan park and a friendly lady even called to say driver would be with us in 2 minutes. Great service, decent price and a beautiful curry that currently wears the crown lol!!

Today my husband and I went to Chungs as local regular customers and from the start was greeted by an unfriendly lady. At 6 months pregnant all I could eat on the menu is rice and curry sauce and was told I couldn’t order it for a sit down even though my husband was going to order a full meal ... completely shocked. The lady was so rude and not understanding at all. We paid for our drinks and left but not before she gave out that we used card to pay for the drinks. Fair to say we will not be back.

The food was excellent, the place was clean. Only downer was the Head waiter kept "snorting" like he had a cold but it was VERY off putting when you were trying to eat your lovely dinner.

Had a really good meal here with the family (5 adults) on a Wednesday evening. The service was excellent and we had a mixture of starters. The dip sum and prawn toast were the highlights. My main course of sole was cooked beautifully with a light garlic and chilli sauce. The fish was filleted at the table and all bones removed from the plate. It was one of the nicest meals I've had in a while. No rush to get us out after we finished and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The price was excellent value for the five of us.

Turned up without booking and although the restaurant was busy we were met with warm smiles and were seated within minutes.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced but the service was incredible! Warm, friendly staff who were very attentive without being intrusive.
Lovely, wide and varied selection of food on the menu and very nice, reasonably priced wine list too. The restaurant's decor is very dark which adds to a laid back, comfortable atmosphere.
Couldnt find fault with any aspect of our visit. Highly recommend a visit to Chungs.

Regularly go to chungs for celebrations or an evening meal. Prices are great and portions sizes are excellent. Staff are always friendly and on point.
