Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After a day of Christmas shopping, my partner and I fancied a quick snack. It was almost half past 3, and even though they were closing at 4, the lovely lady behind the counter was more than happy to let us eat upstairs. The food was delicious, and the Christmas decorations were really sweet. The only down side was the polystyrene containers it was served in.

Called in for soup and a roll. Red pepper and tomato soup and cawl with a lovely cheese, crusty bagette, so fresh and delicious, took a triple chocolate cheesecake home. So friendly, made to feel welcome. Stunning food. Can't wait to go back. Not many around as good as this and so reasonable. Good job we're only 1 hour away!

This place is fantastic, amazing variety of pies and quiches, also the salads look brilliant. Had the chicken and leek pie and took home red current and brie quiche. Both items were really flavourful. Will be back again.

I'm givong this place one star because there is no option for zero stars. On first glance this looks like a lovely little deli. Great looking artisan sausage rolls and quiches in the window and lovely looking cakes. Sadly, we were hugely dissappinted with everyrhing we ordered. The bacon and sausage baguettes were awful. The bread was shop bought and part baked and had not been cooked properly, the bacon was insipid and fatty, and the sausages were cheap and unpleasant. The so called artisan sausage rolls were tasteless and cold inside (even after being microwaved) and the beef pasty was soggy and bland. Tea was from a machine and served in takeaway cups and there were no plates or cutlery offered, just a paper bag to eat from. We went upstairs to sit down and discovered dirty tables, stained carpets and a musty damp smell. It was as if we had stumbled through a portal into the 1980's. We left quite quickly and went to the Cafe Nero across the road. Don't waste your time or money here unless they change the menu, provide cups and plates and give the place a thorough clean.

Hoping this is a one off with how bad the food was. Unfortunately it hadn't been fully cooked, had no taste and resembled what I imagine a prison lunch would be like. Had heard good things about the place and thought it would be great but it wasn't this time.

Didn't really fancy a huge lunch, so popped in the shop to see what was on offer. A lovely selection of home made pies and quiches, and ready delicious looking cakes. Of course everything we bought was incredible. We'll definitely be back when we're down here again. Highly recommended!!

Great choice but way over priced and overrated. ÂŁ7 for a baguette and packet of crisps. And the quality and portion was a joke. I was very disappointed and will not return. Do not recommend!

Cheerfully but emphatically saying 'No!' to being asked if speak Welsh, given the name of the place. That's not the attitude in the Welsh speaking heartland. Food was good.

Called in this afternoon to purchase something for tea When asked what I required I requested the quiche that I fancied in the window To be told that I can’t have those ones! So I said I prefer to have the ones in the window because the pastry was baked to my liking the lady serving was having none of it I had to have the ones behind the cabinet!! Great customer service I thought being it’s a dele with a choice on offer my understanding is you can choose which item you would like I did notice that this establishment has 4 hygiene rating ,The person serving me had just returned to the shop from a break I think, anyway she didn’t wash her hands or use sterilisation gel before serving me Enjoyed the quiche but won’t return again will go elsewhere

Never been before and been eyeing it up for god knows how long and gave it a go.! And we're not disappointed.! Wife loved the jerk chicken flatbread and I had an amazing turkey stuffing, cranberry and gravy baguette.! Awesome.! Will definately do again . Just seen the comments on packaging and would agree though.

We were tempted by the display of nice pastries and quiche in the window display but found it hard to believe food and drinks were served in polystyrene containers for eating in. The amount of waste generated is massive, as illustrated by the full bin in the upstairs seating area. In addition to the environmental impact, it was very challenging to eat with the flimsy wooden cutlery which is easy to break. A shame as the food was nice.
