Dirty tables ,very cold ,a very small fire which had burnt down and no attempt to restock it despite a stack of logs next to it .As a frequent visitor to various weatherspoons in the area this has got to be the worst .Food ok...but no good when you have to try and keep warm .Also just been refurbished?doesn't look any different.very disappointing.More
Don't think the barstaff (Freya) knows how to smile! Ordered a pint and got 3/4 had to ask for it to be topped up which she did with bad grace. Worst service I've ever had in a wetherspoons pub
The room was too cold. As usual, the air con wastoo cold. My wife’s baked beans were equally cold. I ate the mixed grill easily. Tiny portions of meat, no onion rings, about ten chips. I was still hungry so had the fish and chips...and the smallest portion of mushy peas imaginable. Surely the fish is the expensive item. Why is Wetherspoons trying to save money on cheap things like chips and peas?More
Eaten here a few times it was good but today 23 August we ordered 2 traditional breakfast everything was cold we told the waitress and she brought very small ramekin with more hot beans the portion was minute
I was so disappointed this time as my plate was cold when it came and my food was very cold soon after, I didn't eat it and spoke to a waiter who just laughed, I said it's nor funny and when I write to Tim...Martin he wont be happy. He just left. Not good at all, another woman said hers was the same. You can't serve hot food on a cold plate.More
This is a Wetherspoons and so the drinks are great value for money, the staff were very friendly but no idea why someone can’t sweep the outside and generally tidy the place up. It could be so much better.
We went for a lunchtime drink, they had a good selection of drinks and we enjoyed the ones we ordered. Having seen some of the food they were serving, we decided to go back later to dine. The food we were served could have been...much better. When the food arrived at our table it wasn’t hot and the egg on my mixed grill had what can only be described as a skin. The reason for the food not being hot could partly be my fault as I originally gave the wrong table number. When I realised, I did go back and correct it and a minute later our food arrived. If the food had been stood due to the table mix up I caused, surely they should have realised and re-heated the food before serving it. We were asked if our food was alright and I did explain it was cool at best etc. We were offered a replacement egg but I declined as we were in a rush. To be honest, we should have known better, as food in Weatherspoon’s as deteriorated of late. Family and friends that have eaten at different Weatherspoon’s have all noticed the same. We assume that they are trying to keep within a price point or increase profits or both.More
We had 2 evening meals here. Fish and chips are superb along with the spicy chicken and a curry. Fairly clean pub with great staff
Had an awful meal here. We both chose a halloumi salad which promised roasted peppers, courgette etc. we received 2 slices of halloumi, 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber and a few salad leaves with no salad dressing.
No gents toilets, just urinals Not good. Don't know why, If it was the women's bogs,it would be a different story.
This pub is a joke, complained as the food was cold and unacceptable, was called a lier, then they refused to serve us drinks, the attitudes and service was so bad, will never ever return.
We visited every day we were in Skipton. We had a variety of food and drinks, and all were very enjoyable!! All staff were very happy and friendly!! Food was served quickly and efficiently!!
We quickly ordered breakfast which was good value. Free top up for tea and coffee. Staff friendly as it was early very quiet. Some of tables needed cleaning and the downstairs toilet smelt.
Food was excellent for the price. Setting is big and maybe a little tired but hey value for money is great. Everything you would expect from a Wetherspoons. Staff were nice and friendly.
