Four of us had lunch here and all of us ordered the biggest meals they served from their menu. My main meal arrived with two slices of small ciabatta like bread, poached egg and salad. I rate the food quality as solid 8 out of 10, so it was pretty decent. Unfortunately the portion was so small for all of us that we had to drink a lot water to fill our stomach. Really poor value on this day. For the money we spent here on food and drinks we are looking at better options next time. Service was good, although not as good as on our previous visit. Cake selection was also not what it used to be. The tables look tired, the place is small. Hoping these guys can fix these issues.

Based on the high ratings and glowing reviews online, I brought two friends here for lunch. Finding places to park our cars was a challenge, with one friend trying for over 10 mins before managing to secure a spot in a side street. The cafe was busy (which was a good sign) but we were able to get a table. Some of the cabinet food looked unappetizing with wilted salad toppings that were clearly not fresh. We avoided these, and the items we selected were tasty and the sweet treats and coffees were good. The meals being served from the menu selection looked delicious and may have been a better option? The small size of the cafe and the proximity of the coffee machines made it noisy and a bit tricky to hold a conversation. We came away feeling that this cafe is overrated in online reviews.

We stopped by for a Sunday breakfast. It is located in a business park so there was quite a bit of parking. The place was quite full but we managed to grab the only available table which happened to fit us all. They have a basket of menus near the door so we grabbed some and sat down. After looking through the menu you order at the counter to get a number to place on the holder on the table.
they have a selection of cabinet food as well as a menu. Quite a few of the items on the menu sound interesting but I went with the banoffee hotcakes. The hotcakes themselves were quite good. Airy and had a nice flavour. The kiwifruit was surprising as was the bruleed banana with the peel on. It was still quite tasty altogether. I found their hot chocolate to be quite watery and it didn't come with marshmallows. The mix mash hash apparently tasted of nothing but pesto. The food was interesting.

Stopped in for a quick lunch after visiting at Waitakere Hospital. Kitchen shuts reasonably early at 2.00pm. Darling and I both chose the veggie pastry. Little round eggy treat full of broccoli, spinach, onion and tomato. Needed a little seasoning but very nice. Large selection of baked goodies. Home made donut type creation they call a “pod”. I had the butterscotch one and darling had the cream and jam. Fresh and soft with a great taste. Almond flat white was a good size and strong but had separated by the time we got to half way. Very limited parking Mon-Fri with clamping and tow away rigorously enforced. Not so in the weekend. If you are fit park on Universal Drive opposite Kings and leave the park outside the cafe for someone who needs it. Will return.

Cosy cafe with genuinely friendly staff. You'll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to really tasty and attractive cabinet food.
Basically, a visit is summed up in my choice of title.

I loved the look of the place and the bike hanging from the window , the staff where super friendly and the food was super delicious

Unexpected find in a rather out-of-th-way spot, but we had an Excellent Sunday brunch … definitely a cut above the average cafe food

The coffee is yum, service is great, food is ok, however when ordering a breakfast you don’t want to have pesto over the potatoes, a pot on the side perhaps? Also kranski sausages are really not good especially when there’s a great butcher in glen eden.

Poached eggs for breakfast. Not too bad. Cappuccino fine. Menu for breakfast not great. However wonderful array of cabinet food. Will be back for a lunch to try something out of it.

It’s more a 3 and a half stars for me!
The coffee is amazing and quite strong which was a plus, I ordered the Field Mushroom which was yum but an interesting combination of ingredients together, my mum got the big sister (a big breakfast style) she didn’t super enjoy it as she found everything to be quite oily, place was still busy though and had nice decor

The food and service were good with a great atmosphere. The place was packed, but it was good to get a table. The food was delicious and so was the coffee. I love this place as they have all day breakfast

Came here for lunch with a friend last week. It was very packed but we managed to arrive just as a couple were leaving their table. The variety of food here is great, there’s lots of vegan and gluten free options. I ordered a Balinese rice dish that was so good! However after a while the taste became bland, and I wish I had ordered something on the savory side as well (it’s a pretty big bowl of rice). My friend grabbed a filled roll from their display which was nice. It’s got a cool vibe overall and some interesting beverage choices (charcoal latte?!) It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area, if not for the food then defs the bevs!

Great coffee, great food,great service, my Granddaughters favorite.
Went here for my Wife's Birthday lunch, she was wrapped. Only thing is that parking is a little difficult at times. Well worth having to walk a little way though just to enjoy eating here.

We love coming to this little Cafe for a good coffee and truely good and tasty food. The green omelette is surprising with fresh ingredients, very healthy.
