We stopped just to take a break from driving and after a really good flat white and carrot cake found that the rain had caused a slip on our route. The fabulous team stayed open past their normal hours to serve food and drinks to everyone caught in Whataroa by landslips and floods either side of the town. They stayed cheerful, despite being stranded themselves and helped find accommodation for those that were just passing through. A brilliant team of communicators.

The fish and chips were excellent and the service from the ladies in the store was friendly and welcoming . Will defiantly make this a regular

Went there after my White Heron Tour - had nice coffee and a Panini - the staff are very friendly- very clean and it didn't took long .

If you want coffee, don't expect a good brew here. Cabinet food is limited and unimaginative, better to order something off the blackboard. Service is a bit cool too, perhaps living in a small town does this to you.
