Once again, Darling St Espresso delights. We had the smashed avocado and bacon - positively delicious and the lattes were perfect to my taste - I could taste the flavourful coffee and not just milk. The staff were under the pump but did a grand job of keeping up with requests. It's worth the drive across the city to get there. Great job guys. See you in the New Year

I was taken with the cakes on display and decided that I had to have one. I chose a table at the rear (up the stairs) and ordered coffee and cake from the floor waitress. She had already brought me water with a menu. My coffee came soon after. It was an espresso and was accompanied with a small container of hot water. I could dilute the coffee to my preferred concentration. Excellent idea. My cake was a sour cherry chocolate one. It was very rich and very soft. The prices were good.

The coffee is delicious - so good I had to have 2. The food portions are extremely generous and delicious. The avocado was sensational. The only complaint would be the sweet waffles are very busy with a lot of additions. I couldn't say what some of them were. Highly recommend a visit.

A lovely café hidden among the backstreets of Moonee Ponds, with good coffee, and a great range of dishes for breakfast, brunch or lunch. This place is deceptively big - there’s a decent sized area out front, with share tables, and another big dog-friendly area out back, and more tables along the passage at the side. The twice baked French Toast was delicious and massive, the salads were superb, and there’s a decent range of GF options for a brunch style cafe. The location also means there’s plenty of street parking right outside.

Attended with three others, for coffee, and decided to have a meal. Coffee excellent and the meal well presented, and value for money. Staff excellent and have great customer service. A joy to go to a cafe and enjoy surroundings. Highly recommended.

The coffee was great and the waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. Food was sadly uninviting, very old looking, unflavoured and plain. Anything green and leafy looked like it had been weeks old and food presentation was nothing like what we had seen on the website. Overall a good place for a coffee and atmosphere but sadly food was a big miss.

We were feeling a bit rusty and looking for a place for breakfast away from the hustle and bustle, that did good coffee and good food. Well Darling St Espresso definitely didn’t disappoint.. great service, beautiful coffee and some of the best scrambled eggs I have had. It is a funky little place a block or two from the main road, in a nice little quiet back street. Will be back..

Great place for breakfast tucked away in the back streets of MP. The food was great, service excellent and the space nice and cosy. Also has a courtyard out back. And the coffee is top notch.

This is a great little location and is dig friendly. It is in amongst the houses and is a converted house so has lots of rooms and space. Good menu that caters for both breakfast and brunch. The coffee was hot and the food (breakfast roll) was good. Will definitely return.

Thank you to the friendly staff who made our large group feel very comfortable today. Each staff member was extremely flexible and professional. From the initial booking to when we left, we couldn’t fault the service. Food was delicious, thanks again.

A lovely cafe hidden away in the back streets. Does a really nice pot of tea, and staff are quite friendly as well. A quiet and peaceful place for a drink.

Darling St Espresso is a lovely cafe in Moonee Ponds. The food is delicious, served by friendly staff. The courtyard is peaceful with plenty of shade and well set out. Parking is easy in the surrounding streets. I had a leisurely late lunch here with a friend and will be returning. If you are in the area, check it out for breakfast and lunch, it closes at 4 pm.

Really enjoyed our brunch here on the corner of quaint and quiet suburban Melbourne streets just a couple of blocks from my brother's place where I was staying. Menu had everything we needed with a some fresh twists added. Prices as expected. Green tea was lovely. Sorry can't comment on coffee as I don't drink it but little bro (he's in his 40's) loved his hot Choc. Overall a pleasant visit.
