This is an outdoor (covered) eating area setup like a hawkers market with different food options at each stall and you can eat as much as you like from wherever you like. All of the food was excellent particularly the sate cart. Service was great but not cheap at AUD$60 each. We had a deal with two free buffet dinners so we used that and ate here twice.

Best buffet experience.! The widest buffet spreads with different cuisine options. Had an opportunity to try the dinner here for our last night stay in the resort, a quick help booking enquiry by Virtual Concierge service Adeline. This virtual service is superb and useful, unfortunately dinner slots are only available at later times. Shoutout to Chef Boniface who personally came and invited us to try their buffet dinner while our family was swimming by the pool just beside the restaurant and made an effort to help check and manage to move our booking to earlier timing.
Chef Elroy was an excellent host by introducing and walking through all the food stations personally with my family. He even reminded us there's a special Fire Dance Performance by the beach just beside the restaurant. The dance was fantastic, and completed the overall dinner experience.
The buffet selection was outstanding, excellent service staff.
Overall everyone is very friendly and helpful.
It's a must try buffet dinner for anyone staying at the resort!

You could have smorgasbord or Al la carte, we chose Al la carte most nights and great variety to choose from and the meals were always great. Had smorgasbord once but so much to choose from and food not as hot as we would have liked. Still enjoyed it.

Family visit with 2 kids. Ordered beef rendang which was bland/tasteless. Burger, pizza, Chix popcorn was not up to expectation. Bill presented before the meal was finished, the cashier cannot trace our membership number etc.. disappointed.

Only have the chance to eat here before checking out. Food is good and delicious. Had fried kuey teow, kolo mee, beef burger, sandwiches, hainan chicken rice & ayam golek with nasi briyani. No regrets.

Modern day buffet laid out as an international street in style. We were all inclusive and I would suggest you take out this option. This enables to try new things and makes your stay more affordable.
Back to the restaurant. Opens for lunch daily and it’s bar services the pool. Can see this May get very busy in high season.
Evening it becomes the buffet restaurant which is one of the best we have encountered on our travels. The selection could not fail to please. Service is with a smile. Ample tables and an enjoyable experience in the night air and must say all the staff from the cleaners to head chef are wonderful and deliver the customer service you expect from a Shangri.

We had the "market style" buffet and it was a case of picking what you like from the stalls; they cook it and send it to your table.

The endless beach, a well maintained hotel, friendly Personnel and a tranquil hide-away in Saba is the right description for this resort. We enjoyed our golfing at the well maintained course with some view over the south Chinese sea.
In the evening we indulged the food of the Italian, Japanese and Indian restaurant which are all recommendable.
in case you want to enjoy the wildlife of Borneo - make a day trip to Sandakan (45min flight from Kota Kinnabalu) and see Orangutan and the Borneo sun bear.

The food was excellent, we had dinner a few times and light lunch most days.
Drinks are expensive and compared to the other restaurants in the complex the volume wine served is much smalller!!!
The fresh lemonade is lovely.
The chicken & beef satay at night time is excellent.
The lunch time chicken burger was a let down, wouldn't recommend.

Overall our food & Beverage offering is competitive on price in comparison to other international hotels and venues in the region and I am sorry that you found this to be expensive. We continuously look for opportunities to improve our offering's and to extend good value for our guests.

We dine there on our last day as we didnt want to go out. It was a mixed buffet of local food. A good spread and some were cooked on the spot. There was plenty of food for everyone to experience with. As we dont eat heavy dinner, we were selective but those we had consumed were of good quality. My wife was very impressed with the stir fried vegetables and also the desserts. I tried the fried kway teow and the chef was pretty good at it.
The service staff was less attentive here as in the other restaurants in the resort. Plates were not cleared even after guests had departed. We literally have to clear our own plates until it was at the later stage of dinning when we were about done that the staff started to circulate around.
The band from Sampan Bar came over to serenade the diners and this was great. It liven up the dining atmosphere.
For the visitors, it is a great place for sampling local food, especially if you are a large eater. Enjoy you guys!

Great food and service here. Busy on the buffet nights but you really have a fantastic selection and can eat all you can! The other nights are just as good, watching you meal being prepared. The satay sticks are delicious but so is all the food we had there. Friendly, fun, helpful staff too.
