Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After seeing this marked on a map, we failed to find the place each time we went out exploring and despite driving up and down the section marked on the map, multiple times, we finally asked a nearby business where this mysterious place was and...were told it was "just up the road on the opposite side". Still we failed to find it until I physically got out of the car to investigate every building in the vicinity till I saw a stupid road sign saying "SLOW DOWN" and in tiny writing underneath "and smell the coffee" Great advice - if you can read it!! FINALLY stumbled on it and found a man in the front area who couldn't be more disinterested in my coffee queries if he tried!! So I found out it's only open between 7am and 10am - which was no good to me as it was about 2pm and I wanted to buy some bags of coffee to take home. I suggested to Mr Disinterested that it might be a good idea for business to erect a proper sign on the roadside with opening hours - but I'm sure this fell on deaf ears. In the end I bought some divine local coffee from the airport to take home.More

I visited every morning of our stay and the coffee was consistently good. Come early on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and you can also get a superb croissant or pain au chocolat.

Roasting coffee isn’t easy - it requires knowledge, patience, and practice. The lovely owners have clearly mastered the art at this wonderful little roastery and coffee spot. I enjoyed a delicious espresso followed by a flat white - excellent! Add to that the freshly baked...croissants and beautiful breads, and Cook Islands Coffee easily stands out as the place to go for your morning fix.More

We didn't find out about this place until we had been on the island for a couple of days so missed out on 2 days worth of the best coffee we have had in quite some time. Quaint little shop and cute vehicles in the...carpark. The owner Neal was very helpful and even remembered how we took our coffee each morning. Fantastic Croissants when they were available (they don't make them every day). Highly recommended place to visit if you are a coffee lover.More

We were so excited to go to Rarotonga. Our flight was arriving at 730am so we planned to make Cook Island Coffee Company our first stop on the island. What a let down. The coffee was good, we'll give him that, but we felt sooooo...unwelcome! Every question we asked was answered with an unpleasant, 'No'. And sorry for interupting your conversation with the only other person there to bother you to get us a coffee. We thought that the pilon on the street meant you were open for business. We took our coffee to go and never went back during the three weeks we stayed on the island.More

We noticed this place whilst driving around the Island and as they shut by 10.30 am we always managed to get there too late. We did however manage it eventually and were not disappointed. Great strong coffee which we sat and drank there making friends...with some New Zealander’s. We then bought some to bring home with us. Shame the guy who serves isn’t more amiable.More

Can't really add anymore than the other 25 or so excellent reveiws. Coffee great, crossiants greater . When you go to the Cook Islands you swim in the lagoon. This is the other thing you must do.

Only open for a few hours each day, you need to watch for the orange cone on the roadside for your first visit, once you know its easy. Fresh croissants each day too but the coffee was fantastic, I asked for an extra shot as...normal but was warned his coffee was strong enough, so took without the shot and at last coffee as it should be. This became the only place for coffee for us and even brought beens home to NZ. Worth the little drive to find but a real gem, thanks for real ☕️.More

Had heard about this place before our trip to Raro...what I didn’t know was that it was literally a few steps from where we were staying.Coffee is every morning 7.30am to 10.30am.Neil makes coffee as a hobby like some people play golf. You can often smell...the coffee roasting in the afternoons. his son makes the crossiants and they are Monday,Wednesday,Friday and Saturday....warning here....they are just sooooo good....the Almond one being my favourite. and yes...you do need to get there early as they sell out fast. Our morning visits for coffee and crossiants will be a lasting Raro memory.More

A hard place to find, with only a road cone as a sign. Coffee was good but can’t comment on the croissants as they’d sold out. Given I’d driven 20 mins to get there I was somewhat peeved (it was 10.05am when I arrived). I...guess you can’t complain if they only make enough to sell out each day, but it does mean I will be unlikely to go back. So go if you’re not far away, otherwise might not be worth the risk.More

A couple minutes walk from our annual sojourn residence. Coffee quite strong, but prefer this over a weak coffee, always hot, froth coarse but probably due to the milk that is available. Love the croissants and european type bread. Now a sign outside as well...as orange cone when open. Our favorite coffee on the Island, closely followed by Beluga and LBV.More

If you need a coffee fix while on the island, feel free to stop in but be mindful of the hours considering they are only open in the morning. If you like strong coffee with a bold flavor, this is the place for you. While...you are at it, pick up a croissant. I actually liked those more than the coffee. There are a few chairs and tables in case you want to lounge and drink your coffee or you can take your goods to go. The coffee spot is off to the side of the road (facing perpendicular to the road) so if you blink you might miss it.More

We came for the coffee, which was okay, but it was the croissants that were the highlight. So very French (not the common or garden kiwi or ozzy copies) So buttery. So flakey. Hmmm

Finally found this place (didn't manage on or last trip to locate it but our fault - weren't clued in to their opening hours). Such a relief to escape instant coffee as our morning fix for a decent cup of plunger stuff! Perfectly pleasant coffee...and a very nice owner who kindly looked after us even though he was literally closing up shop when we arrived. No hesitation in returning and purchasing again and the really great news is there is no issue with taking home (to New Zealand at least) the coffee you haven't consumed at the end of your holiday.More
