Unfortunately the river was so high it was too dangerous to bathe the elephant s but we went down to river to look. While there went into the cafe and had a drink which was quite cheap. The staff were god fun as well.

Reached late afternoon when the lunch was over. The staff quickly prepared a full buffet for us . The food was great, worth a try.

Had lunch here after a visit to Pinnewala. Good options to cater to all tastes. They do take their time to prepare though, which is fine (could've communicated the same, as we were with a bunch of hungry kids !!!). Fried rice and noodles topped...the must have list. There's a canal running by this restaurant and we saw monitor lizards strolling by!More

The view from the outside patio over looking the elephants take a bath and make their sounds like they were enjoying and being playful and fun to see.

We stopped at this small cafe for tea- black lemon tea, after completing the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Its a very basic small cafe serving coffee / tea and snacks. We paid Sri Lankan Rs. 360 for two cups of tea, which is on expensive lot....Overall a decent place to sit and drink and move on with the journeyMore

Though small by certain standards, restaurant offers nice cuisine and in the centre of the action of Pinnawalla and is not overtly expensive.

We stopped in while driving to Kandy. The restaurant was clean comfortable and had a lovely outlook over a stream and the jungle. Servuce was very good, and the sercings were large and delicious. Well worth a stop.
