We came around sunset and enjoyed the views of the golden sun on the mountains from the terrace. The inner tables have heaters, the outer have blankets. You can book if you want a particular place but they always find a spot for guests without reeservation. The food was well presented and flavoured, and the dessert is very appealing. The meat waas tender. The service personal were very hospitable. Would recommend. Open Everyday.

Slightly off the beaten track, you will find an extraordinary location in the traditional ambience of the mountains. In addition to excellent food and friendly service (we would like to mention the blonde Susanne in particular), you can spend beautiful hours of enjoyment and relaxation here. We will definitely come back and recommend Alpe Dornach without restriction.

Delicious food - friendly staff - clean washrooms

Here you can sit on the sun terrace in a beautiful setting with a fantastic view of the Nebelhorn and enjoy delicious food. The outdoor area is also open in winter. The homemade lemon jam that is served with the Wiener Schnitzel is my personal favorite. Even if you don't come to eat but just want something to drink, you are welcome and all the staff are very friendly without exception. We have been here several times and always enjoy coming back.

Unfortunately, the evening was miserable. We wanted to enjoy a nice, relaxed meal in a nice atmosphere for a birthday, but that didn't work out. Shortly after the aperitif, the starter arrived, which was cleared away while the main course was being served at the same time. We were still having the aperitif, and despite asking, the wine list was only given to us when the main course was already on the table. The main thing was to be quick, as the table was already booked. Unfortunately, all of this now has the character of mass processing, which was previously foreign to the house. We have been guests for many years, what a pity, pride comes before a fall!

The Alpe Dornach has been a consistent address for very good food for years now. It is possible to eat on the large, partially covered terrace and enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains and down into the valley. We had the turbot and the veal fillet with chanterelles from the weekly menu. The wine selection is large, good and relatively inexpensive. Very good service! You can easily combine a visit to the Alpe Dornach with a hike through the Breitachklamm.

Eating out once is not enough...

We were on the Alpe as a family in April and had to come back the next evening because we enjoyed the food so much. We had the pork knuckle from suckling pig, cheese spaetzle, steak with cheese spaetzle and the game pasta. We can recommend all of the dishes without reservation. It was wonderful. The cozy atmosphere, the warmth and of course the location invite you to stay longer. We would be happy, very happy, to come back.

The food was very tasty and the menu had a great selection for all tastes. The service was friendly and attentive, everything went smoothly. The table was beautifully set. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back!

We had reserved a table here today, and it is also recommended. Very friendly welcome, the service was extremely professional! I had a super tender sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage and my husband had a suckling pig knuckle with sauerkraut strudel and two kinds of peas. The food was excellent! We'd be happy to go back!

Always worth a trip for us!

After a hike in the morning, we wanted to satisfy our hunger. We drove to the Alpe spontaneously and had no problems getting a table in the afternoon. The atmosphere is really pretty and cozy! Everything seemed very well-kept and the tables were nicely set. The waiting time was short, which was certainly due to the few guests. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The quality was good and the quantity was extremely generous, only the duck breast could have been a bit larger. The price-performance ratio is good. There was something for the kids to paint and a high chair. The view is breathtaking and the sun terrace is great. There is a playground for the kids.

On the way back from the Breitachklamm we visited the Alpe and wanted to see for ourselves what the much-praised offer has to offer. Every guest is welcome here, the service is friendly and the range of drinks and food has something for every taste. We were very satisfied here and can only recommend the restaurant.

Very nice location with nice children's playground

We were there in the afternoon and because of the heat we only had a drink and the child had an ice cream. Very friendly staff. Wonderful location and a lovely children's playground. Unfortunately the drink prices were very expensive, but unfortunately that's the case almost everywhere in Oberstdorf.

We had dinner in this wonderful restaurant on Ascension Day. From the warm welcome to the beautiful table, extremely attentive service and fabulous food - everything was perfect! Excellent advice from our outstanding waiter regarding gluten-free food, including reassurance from the chef. Thanks again for the great aperitif recommendation, Mirtillo. The following day, after our hike, we stopped in again for coffee and ice cream and enjoyed the fantastic view from the terrace. We say thank you and would love to come back. Simply a fantastic view of the mountains. Very tasty food and good value for money. Nice place to stop after a great hike or just drive up for dinner. Nice, friendly staff. It would definitely be interesting to stay overnight in this place.

Great food & hotel

I spent a few relaxing days and nights here just before Christmas. The service and the food in the restaurant are really great, as is the friendliness of the entire hotel team. The Söllereck room was exactly as described, modern, clean, well equipped and made the stay perfect. My dog was also very welcome here and we will definitely be back! Many thanks to the entire team for the lovely break!
