Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delicious, homemade, nicely presented, good-sized meals, cosy dining room and atmosphere, pleasant and efficient service are awaiting you at Au Grenier.
The wide selection of the menu will satisfy all kind of hungry bellies (meats, cheese, fish, salads, desserts).
I had beautiful chunky and juicy fillet of beef followed by raspberry and gingerbread macaron, such an interesting combo. Although the restaurant was fully packed it had relaxed ambience for sharing nice moments with family and friends.
Rather book a table in advance.
Many thanks and compliments to Chef Pascal, Madame Pascale who takes delight in running her restaurant and her nice team.

This restaurant is an institution on the Alpe d’Huez! On every occasion summer or winter we do not hesitate to book at the Attic! The welcome is always very elegant and friendly and the dishes always tasty and hearty in particular the lamb mouse, flagship dish of the establishment!
To recommend with your eyes closed!

We arrived on New Years Eve and had booked Au Grenier in advance as it was close to our accommodation. The greeting was warm and friendly and, although busy, there was always time for a smile.. The food was a mixture of some fine and hearty meat dishes and the usual Savoyard mountain specialities. All were served promptly and although they were doing a, second sitting after us, we did not feel rushed at all.
A great, relaxed restaurant placed centrally in L'alpe D'huez, right opposite the church.
There is a, lovely terrace too so this, would be a lovely spot for people watching in the summer months.

My husband and I went there for lunch as rated well. We both went for the pasta, carbonara and the salmon pasta were very bland. We live very near Italy and really find paying for food when you can do it better at home very disappointing. The waitress really needs to learn to smile especially in her role. Coffee was good on a positive note! 👍🏻

This restaurant is the one where our group (16 people that evening) was most poorly received! The owner was extremely unpleasant from the beginning to the end of the meal! The worst of the worst being the time of the bill where we had to fend for ourselves to find out what everyone had to pay!!! Either it's incompetence not being able to use your cash register or strong ill will!
The quality of the food is okay, the waitresses are quite friendly but the "boss" alone dissuaded us from coming back!!! Fortunately there are many other restaurateurs in Alpe d'Huez and we were welcomed with pleasure (we had to go 500m further...). Knowing that our total bill varied depending on the day from €480 to more than €800, I find it difficult to understand this lack of commercial sense on the part of the restaurant "Au grenier"!

Bonjour monsieur
Cordialement

Rejoice at the idea of spending an evening with our best friends between adults... At the Attic, it was suck!
However, we were greeted by a funny and friendly waitress who recommended the famous lamb mouse and the T-bon...
Lamb mouse: dry, syrupy sauce, strong taste, very disappointing for a dish at 34 euros ...
T-bon: disappointing, not bleeding because: “steamed” (? ...) as much boiled without juice , bland, without flavor, that makes ratatouille expensive at 28 euros. Where is the traditional cuisine? I have never eaten boiled grilled meat!
At the end of our dish, our charming little waitress asked us for our review, unanimously: “NUT!”
Without delay, the mistress immediately took to task a table 3 meters from ours to contradict our feeling!!!
Without bothering to come see us, she preferred to kill us to defend her notoriety sitting 25 years in the resort and seems flawless.
The Queen does not accept comments, refuses to LISTEN to customers who share their experience.
A manager must also know how to accept criticism, question himself, error is human, no one is perfect, nothing is ever taken for granted...
Without any commercial gestures or attention to try to round the corners, it was easier for her to report our disappointment on the unprofessionalism of her waitress that we disputed: off topic, the young woman was very pleasant.
Finally we should have returned to the Chalet du Per’sillé, a real traditional cuisine.
To flee...

Very good restaurant, one of the best in Alpe d'Huez. Each time I have eaten there, I have always been very satisfied, both in terms of the very friendly welcome from the owner and the employees, and the quality of the cuisine, fine, tasty and copious. In addition, the setting is very pleasant!
I can only recommend this restaurant!

We were very happy with the truly warm and friendly service. Although they were not very good at English (basic communication is ok) but they had tried their best and they made us feel at ease. Everything was ready on the table in no time: maybe only approx 5 minutes waiting time after we gave our order, which is precious for a family dinner with tired kids. The food was delicious! It's the best choice I made for this trip in this area.

We booked in the late afternoon, we came back at 7.30 and the waitress recognized us and took care of us very efficiently and kindly; we had a small table on the garden terrace very nice. We came to taste the can fillet, and we were not disappointed, perfect cooking despite a beautiful sized piece, very balanced sauce and delicious side vegetables and polenta.
I fell for the dessert incredible chocolate sphere worthy of very good tables, congratulations to the chef and the second who makes dessert recipes😆
We will come back to taste the other dishes and desserts! Bravo

This is the best place in Alpes d’Huez for something other than fondue/raclette, delicious fish and meat dishes including great burgers my teenagers loved! Vegan option available. Friendly and attentive staff, with a rockstar maitre d’. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at 6, upon arrival the tone was set, “in the attic we are human and we do our best”
The service was a little long because there were a lot of people but we were very well seated on the terrace chatting and the evening flowed by. Raclette for everyone. Thank you for the vegetarian raclette initiative, a very appreciated first.
The waitresses are adorable and run around a lot 😜

A great place for family dinner. Very welcoming atmosphere, with several French food options. We loved the cheese and mushroom fondue, delicious served with great sausages and traditional baked potatoes. All the other dishes were also great. We loved the service, very friendly and very polite. Repeating! It is important to book in advance, the week we were there it was always full.

We regularly go to this restaurant whenever we go to Alpe d'Huez. Mandatory reservation. Warm welcome from the owner and waitresses. Never disappointed. Very pleasant terrace in summer. We enjoy eating dishes not offered elsewhere (fish, snails, etc.)

We came across this authentic restaurant by chance, from the starter to the digeo, an artisanal fondue made directly from the wheel, the most tender veal and Beaufort ravioli that we will remember for a long time,
Thank you very much for the welcome!
