We had a lot of great meals in Alpe d'Huez but this was hands down the best food we had. We went with two children (10 and 12). They ordered a lamb dish and both said it was the best lamb they had ever tasted - cooked at 50c for 14 hours! I had a pork iberico disk and my wife had Veal. We went for the 3 course option and all tried each others dishes and I can honestly say its the best food I have had in a very long time. At 45 euro for 3 courses it was also great value for money when you consider you can easy pay well in excess of 20 euros for a burger in the Alps.
The service was excellent and not at all stuffy for a higher end restaurant. The waiters were fun and relaxed and very attentive. The restaurant was full with a mixture of nationalities and ages and there was a nice vibe about the place. We ate in a couple of other nicer places when we were there, where the food was great but perhaps the atmosphere was a little stale.
Well worth a visit - you wont be disappointed!!

There are some restaurants that impress you and make you feel at home, and then, there is this restaurant. We felt the warm welcome and hospitality as soon as we walked through the door.
The atmosphere is wonderful. The restaurant is intimate and you know from the very beginning of your experience that you are welcomed.
The service was spectacular. All members of our group were English speaking, but the menu was exclusively in French. However, the wonderful waiter translated every item for us and also gave us recommendations. We never felt awkward or out of place. We were left in awe of the waiter's bilingual ability.
Onto the food. The food. The wonderful food. Whatever you select from the menu you will not be disappointed. For starters we had the scallops and the tortellini and both were exquisite. We had duck, tuna and lamb for mains and each was amazing. The desserts were perfect. We took the waiter's advice and ordered what he said was the best thing in the menu and we certainly weren't in the least bit disappointed.
We'd had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the experience. It got even better when we left behind a hat and gloves and the waiter called us to let us know and then waited for us to go back to the restaurant.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food, the hospitality and the atmosphere are just perfect.
Plan ahead, book a table and enjoy genuine French cuisine and wonderful hospitality.

Sometimes a restaurant which attracts us by the reviews on TA turns out to be disappointing.
It took us a while to book here as bookings are only online and our browser kept dropping out. However, we persevered and had a fabulous meal.
The restaurant is small and the insistence on punctuality means the tiny kitchen can and does produce a well paced, gastronomic delight of a meal. We were a party of seven and all dishes were prompt, creative, and tasty. The staff are welcoming and the menus are frequently changed and are in French and English.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it.
This restaurant does sittings, as so many do now in the mountain resorts, so if you want a long meal then go for the later timings. For us, 7pm to 9 pm was perfect.

We have been to this restaurant as a group of few families with our children. The food was great and our male waiter was friendly but the rest was our experience was highly unpleasant. The owner/manager lady could not be more unfriendly. She refused to let us sit together with our friends so we had to walk to each other’s tables which she was unhappy about. She didn’t try to hide how unhappy she was that the kids were present (honestly, the behaved well and for most of the time they watched cartoons which we let them do to make sure the lady is happy). At the end of our visit she found out that we planned to come back with kids again, asked if we wanted to cancel the booking and when we got back home we realised our next booking was cancelled by the restaurant with no explanation. Not only our booking was cancelled but also one of our friends who was not even there first time around!
So families - stay away, you are not welcome in this restaurant.

Two brothers, accompanied by their partners, recently reopened this establishment nestled behind the ice rink in December. During our visit, the two young women, Lea and Solène, were taking care of the customers while the men were busy in the kitchen. The cuisine offered here is both creative and accessible, avoiding any unnecessary complexity. One of the most notable dishes is the chestnut amuse-bouche: a delicious blend of creamy chestnut puree, tender chestnut pieces and a lighter chestnut emulsion, which results in a rich, soup, which delights the palate.
An experience reinforced by the fact that my son, after tasting the chicken supreme, categorically refused to share it with me, which testifies to its deliciousness. Moments like this speak volumes about the quality of the food.
The service was both efficient and warmly welcoming, which added to the overall charm of the dining experience. However, it should be noted that the space is quite cozy and so booking in advance is advisable to avoid disappointment.
The establishment has a lovely mountain-themed decor, which attracts an elegant clientele. Despite its popularity, the atmosphere remains tranquil, making it a perfect place to end our weekend in Alpe d'Huez on a good note.

phenomenal food, excellent service and wonderful cosy, yet chic, atmosphere (and surprisingly good value for the quality).
The flavours in all the dishes surpassed most of the fancy/expensive restaurants in London. Beautifully presented too.
We were absolutely blown away and wish we had booked a table every night.

Congratulations to this new brigade of 4 associates who took on the challenge with flying colors. We went there at the beginning of the year, it was magical, the welcome is great, the space is refined, this restaurant favors customer comfort over these crowded restaurants. The cuisine is divine (from pan-fried or truffled foie gras to langoustines, almost veal and finally their revisited yogurt) everything is great.
I highly recommend 👍

Excellent food, vegetables cooked to perfection, the lamb was perfectly cooked with a bit of pink in the middle. But the desserts, wow the praline dessert was one of the best desserts we have ever had, the chocolate & coffee dessert that my daughter had also gave the same review. Simply stunning

This little restaurant is located in the center of the village. The quality of the food was outstanding matched only by the quality of the service. Highly recommend, but note you have to make a reservation two weeks in advance during the ski season.

Small restaurant but warm and cosy with very pleasant staff. Food is absolutely fantastic. It is the 2nd time we go to this restaurant and yet again we were not disappointed. We had a large party of people and were able to taste a varied menu. All of us rated it as the best restaurant in l'Alpe d'Huez. I had the chicken which came with mushroom and a truffle puree of potatoes. It sounds simple yet was extremely well presented and tasted absolutely beautiful. Dessert was equally as beautiful. I very highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed, but I advise to book ahead!

A sophisticated, inventive and succulent cuisine. We immediately feel that the chef has worked in gastronomic establishments, undoubtedly starred. Certainly one of the best addresses in Alpe d’Huez. Remember to book in advance because the restaurant only has around thirty tables.

Half-hearted experience for us:
- No 'Hello' upon arrival 😳
- Lighting too 'white' - lack of heat
- Air extractor to be revised: our clothes smelled of food when we came out
- Correct dishes in quality and quantity

Good Service, small menu so fresh product! Very good dishes, perfect cooking for reasonable prices. Small room with a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
An inevitable address in the Alpes d’Huez, especially if you want to avoid the usual raclettes and tartiflettes….
