What a wonderful bistro. The food was exceptional and the service even better. Any trip to the area is worth a visit to Pierre Chaude, especially for wonderful local cuisine.

As everyone says... The Moules are exceptional. Guys on the table next to us haven't stopped extolling their virtues! I had escargot followed by the Moules with the wholegrain mustard (l'anciene) and both were excellent... Had the frites with it and they were perfect too....More

We picked this restaurant as it looked welcoming. We had mussels, steak and salmon. Food wonderful. Service excellent and with a smile. We were actually the first ones in but it soon filled up. Really enjoyed our visit!

Very pleasant reasonably priced meal. Great fish soup followed by very traditional boeuf bourguinon. Very attentive service. Only negative: Vegetables over cooked for me.

Our steaks were edible and the courgette and mushroom veg was nice, but the meal was nothing special and over prices for what it was. I won’t be rushing back.

From the outside the restaurant looked typically French and had diners inside, which others did not. I had the meal of the day, as did my companion. We were welcomed with a small bowl of nibbles and some bread, but that was about as luxurious...More
