Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here for lunch after a hike and this restaurant had good reviews and was on the road to our next destination. They have a large terrace of which a part is only for hotel guests. There was no table available but the friendly...waiter placed a new table at the edge of the terrace for us. We noted that the prices are very high but as long as the food is fine, okay. We ordered a pasta but nothing special and small portion for 18 euro. I ordered a poke bowl for 22 euro but not much salmon and no taste whatsoever (no dressing or something). We also saw a kids menu with chicken nuggets and fries that was 22 euro!! No idea how these high prices come back in the dishes especially because the reviews are good. The wine was good and priced nicely.More

Absolutely fabulous afternoon with friends. We enjoyed the Hunter’s Platter which was an experience. This restaurant deserves 6 stars as it is not to be missed. The service was excellent and all the staff were exceptional; a special thank you to Fabio. We have been...visiting for many decades and cannot wait to go back again.More

We enjoyed the food very much and the service was exceptional. The only reason that we won’t be returning is because of the size of the portions. About half of each serving would be plenty. Beware the waiter offering grappa. It is a memorable experience.

Food: none. Just stopped for some drinks but the food menu sounded delicious (potentially a little bit overpriced but we did not see/try the food). Drinks: Aperol spritz, beers, coffees, hot chocolate. Value: great value drinks. About 30 euros in total for several drinks. Atmosphere:...great spot on the balcony in the sunshine. Highly recommend if you're keen to stop somewhere for a drink. We were there at about midday and it wasn't too busy but still had a very nice vibe. Service: fantastic service from the staff. Very attentive. Felt like fine dining even though we were just having a few drinks as a break from skiing. Book?: Not if you're early for a few drinks but the tables were filling up for lunch. May need to book if you're stopping to eat.More

Have been coming here with family since 30+ years for Christmas, aleays having the same menu. The quality has declined over the years, the same dishes offering less and less. Their strong selling plate “Piatto Armentarola” is becoming a plate full of french fries (50%...of the plate) and cheap meat, with only 1x smaller piece of beef steak (all the rest being wurstel, turkey and chicken). You can’t use credit at table, they make you walk to the hotel reception to use it. Disappointed.More

I was there for lunch, with my son, on the first Monday of September. Armentarola is a restaurant that I like and I've been going there for decades, unfortunately not as often as I would like. The main thing that impresses me, every time I...come back to the place, is the great, meticulous, attention to detail, even if they are minimal (the chips and the accompaniments of our drink were just made from the kitchen, the bread basket was filled with several kind of bread and breadsticks just made from the kitchen). Perhaps the beautiful experience, the dishes (great quality, well described, well prepared and very very tasteful), the efficiency of service (a special thanks to Luciano), were due to the fact that that day was not full of screaming tourists, but I do not think so. They are very in whatever condition!More

The food here is exquisite. They offer excellent table service and there is a wide variety of food to chose from the menu. It offers a very pleasant view of the mountains. Although the prices are a little higher than average, the servers are the...friendliest I have ever come across.More

After some hours of skiing, lying on their gorgeous balcony and have lunch in the sun is just the best break you can think of. We had the armentarola tipical dish, a huge plate of different types of meat, with roasted vegetables and fruit. Amazing!!!

Stopped here on our way to Lagazoi. The prices are higher than most other mountain restaurants but the quality of food makes it worth it! I had one of the risottos which were different but really good quality cooking. The desserts looked amazing but we...were under time pressure and did not indulge - possibly just as well as they were expensive. Service was also excellent throughout the meal. Despite the high prices, this place is well worth a stop or even a detour if anywhere nearby but be prepared to spend a few Euro.More

Very pleasant terrace overlooking the mountains and comfortable restaurant. Two visits and on both occasions the food and service were first rate. Typical Tyrolean cuisine with some interesting variations, both meat fish and vegetable choices.

I had lunch on the terrace last January and it was a memorable culinary experience. The risotto con Barolo was delicious and the desert soufflé was outstanding. We were seated outside with heat lamps and it was a beautiful sunny day. Service was attentive, helpful...and friendly. Ambiance was perfect for both skiers and non skiers. I will return.More
