Black octopus ink spaghetti. My mind was blown away. So simple and so tasty. Completely unpretentious cook to perfection food!
And reasonably priced. Around 12€ per plate of pasta and 10€ for a huge salad with ultra fresh ingredients. Totally recommended. And they accept cards.

The food and staff were lovely!
We had tagliatelle ragu which was so delicious, big portion and such a reasonable price at €10!
For dessert we shared a ‘normal’ tiramisu and a pistachio tiramisu and both were soooo good.
We really enjoyed our food here and the bill came to €41 including some wines which is a such a bargain for Venice 🥰

If you're staying in Mestre, don't eat in Venice; treat yourself to a coffee, gelato and/or a good slice of pizza in Venice and have your dinner here.
From the outside it even looks kind of sketchy - foiled windows and a handwritten note "We're open", but inside you'll find great ambience, kind staff speaking English and fantastic food.
The menu even says there aren't many items because they're trying to keep it authentic and fresh. Portions are huge, I'm a big guy and not often do I not finish my entire meal, but this time I packed about a third of it to go. I recommend you try anything with cod (baccala).

I visited this restaurant upon my arrival in Venice & it didn't disappoint. It was a bit late around 9.45pm and I ordered the Seafood Pasta but the attendant kindly took and accomodated my order. Let me just say it was worth the wait. The serving size is very generous, I just like to make it clear this does not hinder nor affect the incredible taste the dish has to offer. Absolutely amazing in every aspect, I highly recommend this place for a visit!

Very delicious food! The waitress has been very friendly and spoke good English. the waiter entertained us with his humor after I asked for lemon for spaghetti vongole. We had a very good time there and enjoyed the hospitality. It was my husbands best food during this trip. Be prepared for a portion which serves for 1,5-2 portions per (deep) plate. If we can, we will come back again 😍

It’s very close to the mestre train station but that’s the only star they get. So no where on any website or reviews does it say that it take reservation and google says no reservation needed. We walked in right when they open and first thing they told us was “ they are full” there was more than 8 table open. After reading reviews they were correct they will deny you service because they don’t like that you either one speak English or two they think your American .
It’s totally okay, please try out the soul kitchen right down the street! They have great service and food is wonderful! Plus they treated our kids very kindly.

Persone come lei che non riescono a sedersi fanno sempre così, recensioni inutili.
Non le permetto di dire che neghiamo il servizio perché parla inglese o altre lingue, noi lavoriamo con persone da TUTTO IL MONDO.
Tanto è vero che le abbiamo parlato in inglese.
La vostra è solo pura cattiveria giudicate senza alcun motivo.
Lei nomina un ristorante dove è stata (cosa non corretta) e fa la recensione a noi?
In questo caso tripadvisor dovrebbe intervenire (cosa che non fa mai).

Read the mixed reviews and decided to form our own opinions. This restaurant is great. Largest portions we’ve had in 2 weeks of dining out in Italy. Tasted great didn’t need an appetizer (tomatoes, cheese, basil etc) as I and my son both ended up boxing up and taking our pastas meals to go home with half or more left over. Would defintly come here again if ever back in Mestre.

The waitress felt like a racist. We’re a Chinese family and we can speak English. She didn’t pay attention at us for a minute and when she finally came, she requested the covid certification. We got it on our phones, and she left to serve the other tables, the bar and everything. We had to wait for five minutes for her to come and look at the certification. Since ours was in English, not Italian, and she couldn’t understand, she started saying I haven’t had a booster, and she can’t serve us, but “can think of something” — looking for money or what?
She was so rude, we decided to eat in a different place, although we came particularly for this one.

SO Good. As in SOOOOOOOOO Good. Not only is it easily the best restaurant in Mestre (which is not saying much) but it's better than anywhere I have eaten in Venice. In fact it's worth taking the train out of Venice for the evening to eat there. The outside is singularly off-putting but inside the service and food are excellent. I overdosed on mussels entre and lobster pasta. Big wow...

We went to this restaurant twice during a stay in Mestre and it was a great find. It doesn't look much from the outside but we loved the place.
Small, family run restaurant with excellent, reasonably priced food and large portions as well. Best meals we had during our stay and we would definitely recommend it especially the beef ragu.

Informal place. Homemade and traditional Venecian food. I ate Tagliatelle al Ragu. Best pasta ever!!! Enormous portion. After 20 minutesof eating, it didn’t look as i had touched my food. And what did they do with it? Oh yes; it ended in a doggybag which was given to someone who walks hungry around the streets of Venice. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ My best spent 10 euros ever

We found this place online by accident, and how happy we are this was the case! After first evening we decided this is going to be our place to dinner for remaining 3 days.
Service and food are out of this world! So big portions, so tasty… owners friendly, kind and always in good mood!
Please do not skip to visit this restaurant! And to the family BIG thank you and keep up the excellent job you do!

A hidden gem. We found this lovely little place through Trip Advisor, you really wouldn’t know this is such a nice place to eat. Friendly staff and lovely food (massive portions so order carefully)!

We tried twice to enter, because of the review, but it is the first time in Italy when I felt like an intruder. Yes, we were in a group of 8 and yes I understand it may be hard to handle such a big group. And yes, we didn't eat there, but literally, now I am relieved that they did let us in because it is not what you seek in any restaurant.
If you do not care about being welcomed and unpleasant attitude then take a chance, then ok... but really there are so many places to discover;)
