Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were recommended this restaurant by the Manager at our hotel. Due to the Corona virus it was quiet for a Saturday night. The lady who served is was very nice & made recommendations. The food came quickly & was very nice. We had mixed fried fish & pasta with prawn & shrimp. For sweet had choc tart & Tiramisu. Gorgeous. Had a bottle of Prosecco which was refreshing. We would return.

Amazing food and amazing service just away from the busy square. We stayed for 3 nights in Mestre and went here twice because the first time was just that good. The waiter greeted us the first time with the phrase "we basically do fish here" and they do it exceptionally well. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

A nice restaurant in an old house in the centre of Mestre.
The bar is downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. They also have outside tables, popular for the evening aperitivo.
Downstairs the “cicchetti” (traditional Venetian bites) are fresh and well prepared. Upstairs they offer a more private ambiance with a more accurate service. Good food made with fresh ingredients, traditional recipes, good choice of wines. Not cheap, you pay for what you get.

Got the oysters for start and they were absolutely amazing. Having read all the positive reviews the starter set us up nicely for a lovely meal.
When the main arrived it was incredibly dry, we asked multiple times for sauce to which they confirmed they would bring some out and never did. We left 3/4 of the main and when telling the waitress how dry it all was she said "ok fine can I take your plates"
All in all not a good experience and I would not be back. If it were not for the oysters this would be a 0* review.

Good fish and seafood IF you want to take your chances with the service.
Food: Maybe the best fish I've ever had. The sides were tasty as well and the (menu-) recommended wine made a good pairing.
Service: The waiter made an unnecessary and condescending remark while taking our order which certainly affected our mood. Instead of guiding us through the meal, everything from how to order to how to pay had to be done with trial and error.
Would not recommend the place.

Went to this place after eating next door and wanted to experience their take on authentic Venetian cooking and what a delight it was, had the Moeche and so happy I did, it was tasty and authentic. For my main, I had the whole sea bass grilled although a bit salty but, I must say, it was very tasty especially the herbs that was used to season it. For my desert, I had the house made triamisu and was probably the best I have ever had. If in the area agin, will definitely be back. Special mention must be made about the waiter from Albania, your hospitality was second to none, you are a credit to the place!!!

An excellent restaurant on the first floor for fish specialties. The extensive fish selection is presented in a display case on the ground floor. The staff are very friendly and well trained. The advice on the fish selection was perfect. The staff also speak excellent English. The restaurant is open from 7:30 p.m. It is important to make a reservation in advance - there is hardly any space available at short notice. There is a nice bar with a few tables on the ground floor. Here you can enjoy delicious cicchetti to whet your appetite with a good glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. We always come back to Casa Fortuna when we are nearby.

Disappointing overall: fairly good raw appetizer, spaghetti with clams totally tasteless and with sand, decent frying but too floury.
Terrible service: the two guys who serve are inexperienced, they don't care to know if everything is going well, they don't come to remove the empty plates until you call them, while we were ordering the second course the waiter turned around saying he didn't know if the kitchen was still open so we couldn't finish ordering (in fact it arrived and obviously only with the dish ordered by my partner), after taking the dish away they didn't ask if we wanted a dessert and we had to call them to order the coffees. I add a hair on the plate (which can happen but they didn't apologize).
So overall the quality of the dishes is not bad, but the service is important...

My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant in hopes to enjoy an authentic Venice meal. Casa Fortuna exceeded those expectations. We enjoyed the Con Ragú di Lobster and Speghettoni Ai Ricci Di Mare for dinner and the Tiramisù and Cassata Sicilliana for desert. Everything was flavorful and warm to eat. We loved it so much, we came back the next night!

After five days of disappointing and expensive meals at the Venice Lido, finally a quality lunch at a fair price. The sardines in saor are delicious and the tagliatelle with scampi, saffron and courgettes are excellent. The cellar is excellent with many possibilities by the glass. Highly recommended

Back in this small restaurant in the center of Mestre after a year and we found the same love for cooking already found in previous meetings. Excellent spaghetti with clams, a baked sea bream with potatoes, sgroppino and wine from the Santomè estate. Correct price for what ate, waiter and manager very kind. Bravo.

Very nice place with a room on the first floor with exposed beams. Attentive and precise service. The dishes, some good, others a little less. Quite limited on quantities regarding glasses of wine. I would say that the prices are a little high compared to what is offered.

Food was incredible. We booked a table, was a beautiful restaurant. Had the scallops and baby octopus, by far the best scallops we’ve ever tried. Risotto for main did not disappoint! Would definitely recommend and would 100% re-attend!

A beautiful discovery in the center of Mestre. Very nice and well-kept place. Very kind, professional and very friendly staff. Very good fish starters, both raw and cooked. The second, a San Pietro with artichokes and potatoes, excellent! Compliments

I visited Casa Fortuna in June while on vacation with my family. Wonderful place with delicious seafood. Very local and not touristy at all. Aldo was our waiter and took wonderful care of us. I visited Casa Fortuna last week while on a layover. Aldo took care of me again. I wanted something light so I chose the mussels and they made a salad for me not on the menu. Perfecto !
