Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The service was horribly slow, the food was over cooked and way too pricey. Really wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!

It was in the afternoon and we only needed a drink - tried the Gingerino, which appears to be popular in Venice. The cafe has an excellent location facing the canal. It was nice to just sit outside and watch the boats on the canal.

I recommend ordering the Venecian fritters with cream, if you go on carnival season; they’re very good! The coffee was nice and the attention was good. I had to meet some people at Rialto bridge and I spent my time there. They also have good...Wifi, so I could work a bit on my computer. All the rest of the food looked very good as well. Very Recommendable!More

Visited a few times for late afternoon drinks, attentive and friendly waiting staff and lots of complimentary snacks to accompany excellent and reasonably priced wines.

We stopped by a couple of times for quick coffee while sight seeing around the Rialto bridge. Very busy. But we stood at the bar for coffee. Good prices, if u want a quick coffee in the square. If you sit by the canal table...service charges are more as expected in this area. Great tasting coffe, made well!More

This place is located in Mestre!! Not in Venice canals!! It was very close to our hotel B&B in Mestre and we visited it twice. Both times the service was excellent. It is a little difficult to find a table to sit (around 7.30 to...9.00) because many locals are going there either to eat or to have an apperitivo. I suggest it for a glass of wine,a beer or an apperitivoMore

This place was recommended to us by a local tour guide, which was extremely disappointing due to the service we were offered and the meals we were served. My friend had the 'vegetarian lasagne with vegetables' which was approximately four layers of pasta sheets filled...with a tomato puree, no vegetables and a small rocket and tomato salad on the side. It was cold and the bottom two sheets were raw and hard. When we spoke to the waiter about it, he poked it with a fork in front of us and agreed and took it away. We were asked if we wanted to order something else, to which we replied no, he ignored us for 20 minute and brought over a plate of falafels which were also warm on the outside and stone cold in the middle. The other meals were a lasagne (with meat) and cannelloni, both were very small portions served alone. Very poor service and food was average at best. I believe all meals were reheated from frozen. Avoid.More

We went to this place for dinner given the nice location and decent menu. Food was lukewarm and mediocre at best. The front patio seating, while in a great location, was likely understaffed. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly - worst I have seen...anywhere. Example conversation: Me: "can I add some capers to this pasta?" Staff: "no" Me: "you can charge it as an extra" Staff: "no!" And multiple other such examples during a short visit for dinner. Not only did we come out unhappy with the food, but rather disappointed at being treated poorly at a restaurant where we paid good money to eat a mediocre meal! Please avoid!More

I ordered the vegan lasagne which said on the menu with "lasagne with vegetables" so I was expecting a vegetable lasagne. What came out looked no better than a cheap microwave lasagne swimming in tomato "cheese" juices and topped with what looked like mince. I...did try it but as someone who doesnt like the taste of meat I couldnt eat it and it tasted vile, I said this wasn't what I expected and I wasnt paying for it. He said I have to or order something else or I must pay for it, when I asked to speak to the manager she just ignored me and frowned at me and continued to talk to the waitor in Italian who in the end insisted I had to order something else or pay. The manager and the waitor were both rude and didn't seem to accept that I was expected vegetables (which werent even on the plate) not a soy mince lasagne. As I was with my mother I didnt want to cause a scene so ordered the falafel which was dry and mealy with a big serving of mixed roasted veg which didn't go well with the rest of the dish. I was very disappointed in the place, I want to like anywhere that does a vegan menu but the food and service was one of worst I have had in years. Avoid!More

Right on the Grand Canal near Rialto Bridge. Mostly al fresco. Good coffee and tiramisu. Our young waitress was very friendly and helpful. People around us appeared to be enjoying their lunch.

Good coffe quality as for Vergnano standard. Unfortunately a bar needs also a good attitude from personnel and this is not the case.

We don't recommend this place. We had an impression they carried out a guest selection. Not only we waited for our drinks extremely long but also we had to wait for a check for a long time and ask for it 3 times. American tourists...sitting beside us experienced the same quality of treatment as the waiter brought them a check right after they had a first drink although they felt like staying for a second drink. At the same time the waiter was extremely kind for Italians who popped in for lunch. So there is no recommendation. 2 points for beautiful location onlyMore
