Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here for lunch and dinner. Two excellent lunches, one good dinner and one disappointing. Great location, since to see a table reserved for locals. Good wine and beer selection.

So far we've been told that pizzas will be an hour and a half wait (but our reservation is limited for that time). Salads we're off unless described in the meal. The local Ancorage- Motueka Sauvignon is great. Service was quick. Portion size varied. Nachos...were large, fish tacos were medium. Very tasty though. Just felt disappointed, despite a vibrant, busy place.More

Good beer/cider, but very limited menu. Burger, fish & chips, fish tacos ($28). We had the beef nachos which were a bowl of chips with chili and a dash of cheese and a good portion of sour cream Pizza service doesn't start until 16:00, so...that was not an option for a late lunchMore

We were a group of 9 on a birthday celebration involving 4 children aged 8 to 17. The food was good but the wait of over 1hour 15 min for pizzas was just too long, especially for younger kids. My complaint was handled by a...guy who I presume was the duty manager, and, to his credit, he dealt my rather irate (probably slightly irrational) approach well. Based on the food I would return, but I remain of the view that they need to turn around orders quicker and/or inform people of timing.More

We had a meatlovers & vege frisbee pizza. Both arrived quickly were piping hot and very tasty with lots of toppings. Excellent service and good information provided when asked about the options. Fruit crumble for dessert made with apricot, rhubarb and apple from their orchard....Again very tasty and served hot with vanilla ice cream. Going back again tonight!.More

After getting our order wrong and a long wait our meal was changed to what we ordered. Lovely pork goulash, however, 36 nzd for 4 very small pieces of pork, sauce and bread. It was more of a starter and obviously still hungry afterwards.

This was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is situated right at the trailhead of the park and is a welcome site after a weary and sunny day of hiking. There is a food option for everyone, be it pizza or tacos or even a banana...leaf burger (?!). Prices are very moderate and portion sizes are fair. Beer selection is good too, I had a hazy which was delicious, and the fish tacos were great. Atmosphere is fun and inviting too, expansive big wood tables and a pretty garden.More

I went there three times over my week there. Each time, I wasn’t disappointed! The fish tacos were great, pizza was nice, and chips and beer too. A highlight was the Thursday night music. A lot of fun!

We were staying nearby for four nights and came to Park Cafe around 4 times as we liked it so much. A lovely vibe, friendly staff and great food. The best place we’ve eaten in New Zealand

We walked the abel tasman national park today and then visted the park cafe for pizza and refreshments, the wood fired pizzas were fantastic - we had the vege frisbee and the smoked fish. Both beautiful flavours, tasty and still thinking about them. i love...the garden setting. its a great place to visitMore

We have been visiting Abel Tasman / Marahau for close to 30 years and the Park Cafe has always been a highlight - fantastic setting and outstanding food. Unfortunately, our meal on Thursday, 26 Nov was less than memorable - Seafood pappardelle had a few...mussels, some small bits of fish and not a prawn in sight, the Park Cafe Salad (Seasonal salad served with toasted nuts) was the leftover roasted vegetable salad from earlier in the day without any nuts at all and one of the pizzas had quite a soggy base. It could have been a one-off bad night in the kitchen so won't stop us from coming back, but the meal this night were a disappointment.More

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. We visited the Park Cafe for the last dinner service of the season. We’d just completed a day of kayaking and we were all hangry! We were not disappointed with the delicious food we were served up; the pizza was...amazing! Our server was also excellent; friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Abel Tasman.More

After a great day of hiking in Abel Tasman National Park, we were hoping for a good meal and some cold drinks. We certainly found that and more at this casual cafe. Great views from our two person high top. While my husband enjoyed a...cold pint from the tap, I immediately went for the frozen lime margarita…it was perfectly delicious…and only made better when I saw that it came from a slushie machine! We shared an excellent thin crust pizza with artichokes on it…truly delicious and really hit the spot. Topped off dinner with a chocolate chip cookie (excellent shortbread style) and a piece of warm apple rhubarb crumble cake topped with whipped cream. The desserts were really enticing so don’t hold back! Really nice staff at this restaurant, very friendly and courteous. As per other reviews, we really liked the casual feel of the cafe, very relaxing and welcoming, and a great vibe.More
