My daughter and I had a "cowpat" and my husband had a "off the hook" burger. They were the best burgers we had in New Zealand. It is also very nice to sit outside near this foodtruck. Service was fast and with a smile. Highly...recommended !More

Fat Tui is a must if you are near. Best burger I did get in NZ. I loved it!! Any time of the day. We stayed at a camp ground near there and where able to walk to the place. Not very much parking space...(if it is full) No long waiting for the best burger I ever had.More
Brilliant place for the “BEST” burgers in town. Make sure you come with an appetite because these burgers are fabulous . No maccas or Burger King style here! All fresh produce, real salad and Veges in your burgers , fantastic meat and vege options !...And the chaos cooking are just the best! Not only do they cook well, they are also ready for a yarn, a laugh and the entertainment. Great vibe too. ! Stop here and you will not regret it ! Thanks Fat Tui 😀More
The best burger ever: fungian burger with mushrooms , walnuts and sweetchilly and salats. Very nice mix of fresh greenery and nutty tastes. Difficult to eat with your hands but other than licking your fingers in the end, there was nothing to complain about. The...owner was cheerful in his own way and we were quick served despite coming unannounced with a group of 13 women.More
Just about the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. Lovely fish and loads of it. Chips were excellent and the guys running it very friendly.
We loved our veggie/vegan burgers at Fat Tui, they are so big and yummy! The chefs are so much fun and the atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. Perfect before and after a big hike or adventure in the Abel Tasman.
I don’t know if it was because I was famished or I was impressed with the sheer number of ingredients but the Hui Burger may be the most impressive burger I’ve ever experienced. Started out with wedges perfectly cooked with a sweet chili and sour...cream topping. Next was a half pound burger served on a brioche style bun with mustard, ketchup, aioli, cheese, bacon, egg, lettuce, onion, tomato, and beets. Truly amazing.More
Highly recommend The Cowpat or if you are really hungry The Hau! SO GOOD! Delicious homemade tasty patties with lots of great salad, cheese and everything else extra with the Hau. Only order a small portion of delicious chips if you are with a group...or crazy hungry. We loved it so much we went there before heading into the Abel Tasman National park and when we came out the other end 5 days later!! Ideally go before 6pm to avoid a possible very long wait!More
Loved this place. The staff treated you as if you were a local the food was well priced, with huge portions. The chips were excellent as was the Cow Pat burger. Great place to go if you want to see some Weka up close, but...if you are eating in, wear insect repellentMore
We all got burgers as a family for lunch only took 15 minutes and they were massive. Most of us shared 1 between 2 people and were so full would definitely come back
Have been to the Fat Tui fairly regularly when we come up to Tasman Bays for our summer holiday. Unfortunately, on this visit we were a bit disappointed as the burgers didn’t seem to be as tasty as they used to be. The buns were...not as nice (different) and I had the “Ewe” burger of which the lamb patty was tasteless. Not sure I’d rush back again.More
We were in Nelson, NZ on a rainy day and stumbled upon The Fat Tui for lunch. The Jalapeno Blue Burger is a perfect description and the ingredients were super fresh. The chili mayo slaw that topped the burger along with tomatoes and crispy lettuce...had a perfect texture and crunch!More
Mean as way better than any other burger I have had premo fries pretty special epic work crew and unreal location yea boi!!
With very high expectations, the burger didn’t quite meet its hype. The staff was friendly and short waiting time. The burger was giant and patty well cooked but not too well sourced/seasoned. I still recommend for anyone just finish the hike or big day in...the park.More
I appreciate this place has been very busy today. However the service was not good and we didn’t end up getting any food here. Walked in during the afternoon to enquire about time frames for ordering and was not given a friendly reply- the indication...was that an order would take about an hour and a half to fill. Family were keen to pursue the burgers so we put in a phone order to be collected at a designated time. When we arrived, our order had not been cooked and had not in fact been written down anywhere. The person who took the phone order apologised, but there was no offer to cook straight away- we were being told it would be another 1 1/2 hours if we ordered again now. This is a disappointing response and puts me off going there again. Going home for eggs in toast.More
