I ordered the baked kumara which had a slab of chicken on top of it & bacon. When I tried it the meal was just warm & not hot. Myself & others have struck this problem before & especially with chicken that needs to be...heated to a hot temp. My iced coffee was just that, an icy frappe that had no taste with some cream on the top. My partner ordered the lamb shank pie.... Well we had all finished our meals & he was still waiting for his to arrive. This is not good enough as most people like to eat together. Need to try a little harder kitchen team as even though this place is popular, that's no excuse to let your standards drop.More

the lamb shank pie is a whole shank wrapped in filo pastry and the most delightful tomato salsa on the side. We have been here the past two Sundays in a row. Cannot fault the place.

We arrived at about 2pm and were greated by the friendliest staff. The coffee's were fabulous and came out straight away ... with a gorgeous cupcake on the house! We both ordered the Beef Brisket toasted sandwich which was delicious & totally filled the spot....What a great venue! Loved the decor & will be back to raid the deli next visit.More

Fire was alight, cold and wet outside but cosy inside. I never ate off the menu but the cabinet was full of savoury, sweet and healthy options. Coffee was A1 and service wonderful. Really enjoyed a stroll through the Deli and the opportunity to taste...some of the products sold.More

Really disappointing that this Marlborough icon has been reduced to prawn twisters and deep fried cheese. The food is appalling. huge portions doesn't make offering crap food ok. We live in one of the best regions in NZ for produce and the best you can...do is buy in crap food and fry it?! Such a shame as this used to be our go to. Especially with kids.More

The best cheese scone ever! They were massive so we shared one between the two of us. So delicious! The coffee was good and the staff friendly. Lovely spot. Was cool to wander between the store, cafe, gin room and winery.

I was told that this was a great place under the previous management. Because we were on a tour and the ordering queue was long and a bit slow, I ordered a simple toasted sandwich and coffees. The coffees eventually came and were undrinkable -...lukewarm and very strong. We had to enquire about our sandwich and eventually took it to-go. This was very poor - the crusts of the loaf were used, the "ham" was a very thin tasteless piece of something and I suspect the cheese was processed - and the sandwich wasn't even cut. Im afraid it ended up in the bin. In an otherwise very pleasant stop, this was hugely disappointing.More

I think this was the worst food I have ever been served. Bacon butty - 2 pieces of thick dry toast with dry tough bacon in the middle....at least the fries were edible

Went today with a lot of ladies. My and another friends choice, inedible, portions too big so felt bad about sending it back, Nachos. Cold meat, tough and no amount of MW could do it. Nachos?? Yuck! Didn't get it put into a container to...take home to the pigs.Left it on the table. Others at the tables had problems too.. Potato cakes with the benedict was swamped in oil...I tried it.Ugh.I think you need to get a better chef. Will not recommend.More

Been here several times over the past 2 years, but it’s now under new management & overall our experience was improved! We visited just before 10am so it wasn’t busy. The service was average, ie a 15 min wait for cabinet food which didn’t need...heated, but there was a great selection & what we had was delicious! (Chicken wrap & scone). Really good coffee too. We also appreciated having our small dog with us on a leash. (We did obverse another dog roaming free tho, which wasn’t a problem for us but appreciate not everyone feels the same. Will definitely return.More
