We experienced excellent service . The environment is stunning. The food was exceptional. We shared four small plates, three would have been enough for lunch. The beef cheeks were absolutely divine, melt in your mouth and so flavour some. The Arancinj were light and delicious....The polenta chips were piping hot, crisp and had a delicious rosemary crumb with an aoli sauce. And the lamb koftas were excellent . We would return regularly if we lived in the areaMore

My wife and I really enjoy our experience here. First off, the food was wonderful! It was fresh and flavourful, and the wine was well balanced and full of depth and complexity. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable about good food and wine pairings. Secondly,...the garden and sculptures that the winery is a part of is peaceful, and well maintained. The sculpture walk didn't take all day, but the walk through the garden and forest was breath taking, and the sculptures were interesting to look at. All in all, we really enjoyed our afternoon here and would highly recommend it to anyone.More

Our waitress, Chloe, was fantastic. Friendly, efficient and nothing was a problem. The restaurant was awesome with catering to celiacs diners. Two people in the group required celiacs food and the chefs did a fantastic job with this. Everything was tasty and nicely presented. Only...criticism is, being a hot day, there wernt enough umbrellas which made things uncomfortable for a couple of diners. All in all, very nice and recommended.More

We visited Brick Bay last year and were very impressed with the restaurant. As a consequence, we brought some good friends with us for a meal yesterday. We all had another great experience with some of the best food we have all had for a...very long time. The beef cheeks were a big winner, brilliantly cooked and well presented. The snapper and squid were also excellent. Our server was very attentive and helpful, which added to the experience. We had a table on the rear deck which was perfect. We look forward to our next visit.More

This restaurant is in a beautiful setting, but lacks atmosphere. The service is disgraceful, uninterested staff who don’t bother to attend to you and certainly don’t have any smiles on their faces. The wait time is quite long. I am local to the area and...have been there many times with friends, this is not the first time I have encountered bad service but it will be the last. I suggest to the owners , give your staff some serious training.More

We arrived without a reservation but as it was relatively early-11.45- we were quickly seated at a table in the 'Glasshouse'. The location is beautiful as it looks out on a large pond of flowering water lillies with several of the sculptures from the trail...visible. I had salmon on rye bread and my hus6had the beef cheeks. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was quick and the staff excellent. All up, a great dining experience.More

Company lunch at a restaurant is never visited before. Nestled in the countryside north of Auckland we were coached to Brick Bay. At arrival we were greeted beautifully and seated. The waiting staff amazing putting us at ease and explaining various things about our deal,...the drinks and the food. Ours was Ella on our table of 8 and what an amazing job Ella did in looking after us. The starters were an impeccable teasing delight that took us to a stunning main course. Mine the beef cheeks was simply divine, the beef just fell off. It was cooked perfectly and honestly I could have had more. Topped off with a Tiramisu that was heaven across my tongue. All set in a stunning environment with a lake beside us and a lovely gentle walk after to help with digestion. I loved it there !!! Definitely be visiting again !!More

My wife and I chose to celebrate our Golden Wedding with a day out to some of our favourite spots in our area. This included Brick Bay as we had enjoyed great lunches there previously. On arrival, it was good to see the working farm...in action too, with pruning and general maintenance clearly a key part of the season's preparation for spring. Local ingredients characterise the menu offered here and some of the work involved in this was in evidence. Across the wider area north of Auckland, we both had a wonderful day for sure, but a highlight was certainly our "Taste of Brick Bay". We had the 3 course option, sampling a range of dishes from their new menu (only the second day of this offering). Each course was well conceived in terms of preparation and presentation. Taste and flavour were the stars though, with an excellent balance of ingredients with each in great proportion on the plate. Accompanied by paddles of excellent wine, we both had a relaxing and most enjoyable lunch, experienced efficient and friendly service and overall had a wonderful time there. We will definitely be back for lunch soon, but also to experience once again their interesting and stimulating Sculpture Trail.More

We tried to visit in 2022 as we drove past but went away with a clear message of needing to book from the staff we spoke to. When we were heading to the area again we made sure we booked but could only get in...at 3.30pm for a grazing platter. A look at the menu at the provided link when the confirmation came through, suggested there were some items of interest so were looking forward to the visit. We arrived before 2pm to get around the sculpture trail first. The staff member who greeted us checked our name and we confirmed we had booked the sculpture trail and a grazing platter. She said the kitchen closes at 4pm. We repeated that we had booked, that at no time had they indicated the kitchen closed a 4pm but we were aware based on bookings that we had a 30 minute time slot for the platter. Once again she said the kitchen closed at 4pm and there was only a very limited menu available. We paid for the trail and thought we'd see how we go but got the impression she wasn't interested in having us eat. It was extremely wet but the trail was interesting enough. On return to the restaurant we expected staff to engage as we dripped our way through the dining room but there was no interaction from staff and we left. We had purchased vouchers for family for Christmas and while the the two groups said they enjoyed the visit, they described the service as interesting. Maybe we just got the team on a bad day but not a place I would recommend and certainly will never be back.More

It took us 14 years to discover this gem, but we are glad we have now. The setting is divine and being a sunny day really highlighted the Lily pond and the glass house as a great venue for a casual lunch. Considering the shortage...of hospitality staff the crew did a great job, we loved the wine, olive oil and honey tasting in “The Row” such a lovely area to really appreciate the produce. We stuck to ordering small plates which were very generous in their size. The rillette had a nice texture and the pickled egg was a lovely touch. Our bruschetta were the size of saucers and very flavoursome, we paired the asparagus with the beef cheek and were more than pleased with our choices. Just had room to fit in the trio of bon bons from Honest chocolate in matakana. Loved being able to sit and watch the ducks and bird life as we ate and chatted. Had a lovely relaxing experience and enjoyed the venue and the staff were great.More
