Ordered 3 tapas dishes each, making 6 in total. They came out a little spread apart for our liking, most dishes were delicious if a little small for the price. Had to send back the lamb dish as raw and had finished other dishes when it was returned cooked some 15 minutes later. Ordered a Cherry Sundae as still had room for dessert, was very disappointed as one scoop of ice cream with a few bits of cherry and meringue for £7.50 (extortionate).

Our group visited here on a "tapas" night (Wed) & enjoyed a variety of seafood, meat and vegetable-based dishes ranging from around £7 to £14 each. Pizzas are also available, including a seafood one which received high praise from one of our party. I particularly enjoyed the beef and blue cheese dish, although the meatballs were a bit meh and the supposed pan-fried duck disappointingly turned out to be cold sliced roast duck instead. The side orders of fries came dressed in a very strong mix of what tasted like coriander and paprika which didn't receive great reviews from our group, I'm afraid. Our bottle of average Merlot cost us £24 and the total bill for 4 guests came to nearly £150 without any additional drinks, so not the kind of place most people could afford to eat out at on a regular basis, methinks.

My 6 year old son wished to try his first taste of crab from Coast, however we were told that it was usually dine in only. The waiter however was super accommodating and really kindly allowed us to order a take away portion, and it went down a treat. A big thanks to the staff for being so helpful and understanding with my son, we'll come dine in for our next visit.

This place is a bit like an unfamiliar roast dinner. There are parts I liked, some quirks I certainly didn't like and then some standard components that were as expected. So we arrived on time to find that our table was not ready, this is ok, its a fairly intimate setting so we went for a drink next door. Good local village, so when our table was ready a waiter came across to the pub and brought us to the table. Within no less than 5 minutes the waiter was pushing us for our order. He tried to make a joke of it but was being serious. We weren't late, so why rush us? The demeanour was over friendly and slightly uncomfortable. Next one of our party asked to use the facilities... they were sent down the street, to use the public toilets (hopefully not the bushes). This is a major note. Either drop the kids off before you visit this establishment or be prepped for a night time stroll to the local beachside public loos. The food was generally good, but with all the above thrown in (and more that the word limit prevents me from adding) I feel 3 stars is not only fair but possibly generous at this price range.

Absolutely lovely - great wine list, a small but inviting menu and a great setting by the beach. Staff were friendly and welcoming and compliments to the chef for producing our delicious meal - my husband said it was THE best pizza he’s ever had (& he’s eaten a LOT of pizzas over the years!) Cannot recommend enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great little find, cosy but cute. Staff friendly and quick on service. The little younger chef is a credit to your establishment, we look forward to returning and seeing what else he cooks up!

We popped into the Coast Deli to see if they did take out sandwiches as it looked lovely and we could see how good the food looked. We were directed to their other business along the road Coast to Go. We decided on the prawn and crab sandwich with salad even though it was an expensive £9.75 we decided it was a holiday treat. What a hugely expensive disappointment, it was a small roll with just a 'sweep' of the sea food filling and two lettuce leaves! I don't think we will be going back!

Cancelled a booking for 2 people at 5pm on a Saturday during half term and the response i got on the phone was incredibly rude. I understand the pressures of a small business (which is why we frequently supported Coast in the past) but this encounter was put of line and uncalled for. When booking the meal Coast explained that they were so fully booked they could only book us in at fiive, so it shouldn't be such a big deal that we phoned to cancel. Short sighted thing to do and we (and family members who visit during the slow winter months) will not be returning. This is my first time leaving a comment about a restaurant but this encounter was so rude I needed to say something !

Hi Molly, Please allow me to clarify your review. My staff are all perfectly polite …I’m the rude one! Yes, you reserved a table at 5pm on a Saturday during half term. Yes, you called at 4.45pm to cancel the table. We have 8 tables in our small, privately owned restaurant. Do you have ANY idea how many customers I had to turn away this evening because we were fully booked. I mearly pointed out that your cancellation at 15mins notice was totally thoughtless and yes…unacceptable. A position I continue to hold. I note you will not be returning. I would point out that to return, you had to turn up in the first place! Enjoy the rest of your holiday, won’t you. I hope none of your travel plans are cancelled…at the very last minute 😉

Whilst staying in Aberdyfi we ate at the Coast Deli on two evenings, sampling the tapas menu on a Tuesday night and enjoying the Bistro menu on a Saturday night. The food was excellent and the service friendly and attentive in spite of the restaurant being a little small with only about eight tables in total depending on configuration. I'd recommend this as probably the best restuarant in Aberdyfi, although the Harbour Kitchen at the Brittania is trying hard and the food there was top notch as well.

Coast offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu caters for both seafood enthusiasts and those seeking land-based options. We went on a night when they were serving their tapas menu - the mussels in a cider and leek sauce were outstanding, along with the lamb rump in a black pepper sauce! The inviting ambiance and attentive staff, create a memorable dining experience. A visit to Coast promises a flavourful journey from start to finish making it the standout destination in Aberdyfi.

Our favourite place to go in Aberdovey along with Walkers Fish and chips. Staff at coast are lovely. Food excellent. Had full breakfast and sweetcorn and courgette fritter stack. Delicious! Whoever thought of this topped with bacon and a perfectly poached egg deserves a medal. Unusual but best breakfast I have had. Husband loved his full breakfast as well. Dogs allowed which is nice, but our Basset and Beagles would have caused chaos! Looking forward to our next visit. Chris and Mike Jones, Cleobury Mortimer.

Let's get this out of the way first. Despite what it says on the website, you can't get a takeaway pizza yet. They are applying for a licence, which might suggest newish owners. Anyway, on to the food. We went for tapas, and I like tapas, and this was better than a certain eponymous tapas restaurant named after a famous chef in Birmingham. The prices are keen, and the bacalao croquettas are probably the best I've eaten. Local hake with puy lentils was a stand out too, as was the duck breast. The friendly servers could not have been more charming. In the end, we were pleased that takeaway pizzas were off the menu.

We ordered a few tapas dishes, which were beautifully cooked, although they did vary in portion size, and some were quite expensive for what you got. The monkfish was particularly delicious. We still had room for dessert, and ordered the cherry sundae. This was very small and consisted mainly of vanilla ice cream (single scoop), a few tiny bits of meringue, one mini amaretti biscuit, and a couple of Kirsch-dishes cherries. Delicious, but very expensive for what we got. Good service though.

I booked a table online for 2 for supper on Saturday 3rd August. As the holiday was a last minute booking so was our table booking. I think we were VERY lucky to get in as quite a few people turned up without bookings while we were there and had to be turned away. We were very warmly welcomed by the owner/manager. We had some great garlic bread to nibble on, absolutely dripping with lovely garlicky butter, then we had seared scallops on a bed of chilli crab, and fried whitebait to start - both delicious; followed by catch of the day (plaice), on some of the best smashed potatoes my husband has ever had - he reckons it just might once again have had something to do with the amount of butter used - but ignoring the sound of his left ventricle slamming shut at this point (if you can't do it on holiday, when can you??) he thoroughly enjoyed tucking in, while I did the same with my moules frites - in a divine leek, cream, wine and garlic sauce and bread to mop it up. We washed it all down with a chilled bottle of portuguese white wine. Service - faultless, food - all delicious, every single bite; atmosphere - cozy and buzzing. We had a really enjoyable evening, and it was certainly the best supper we've had eating out in a long while. A very happy memory of a lovely weekend. THANK YOU team 'Coast'!!!

Hi We visited your restaurant on the 24/12/21 for our Xmas Eve meal has we’d been before and had a lovely meal and enjoyed the ambiance, but unfortunately this time was not the same experience. We ordered mussels for my partner of which she enjoyed and I had the Scollops which was ok. Then onto the main I ordered a TRIO of lamb chops of which I only received TWO but it was lovely and didn’t mention it, but later which wished I had. My partner ordered the beef rib which was tough and hard to take of the bone, very disappointed so we complained to the waiter of whom took it of the final bill. I can’t except any chef mistaking Three chops for Two it’s irresponsible, Please take this criticism and hopefully we’ll return for a better experience Regards Mr D Rowland
