Very disappointing

We were seated in a room it the back. The room was very stark and clinical with zero atmosphere. We ordered appetizers -olives, bread cheese followed by soup. For the main course their specialty BBQ chicken. 1 chips and 1 salad. The waitress that sat us and took or order was excellent and we went with her recommendations. Our drinks were brought then we waited and waited and eventually everything we had ordered arrived at once. The soup was ( as is par for the course in Portugal ), Luke warm. I tasted a chip ( like you do) and it was cold not warm but stone cold. The next problem was trying to get service. A waitress taking some food to another table was waved at but she said something in Portuguese we didn’t recognize and then completely ignored us. We had finished our meal before anyone returned to us. Nothing (soup bowl) plates etc. had been cleared off the table The chicken was delicious and the wine very pleasant but apart from that it was pretty much a disappointment. We certainly wouldn’t be rushing back there.

Great food, great service and hospitality!!!

We came in on a saturday afternoon at 2:30. Rather late but the very kind waitress and waiter served us a delicous meal with grilled chicken, mixed salad, fries and rice. We had several beers and wine. The children had delicious desserts. And this for only 33,75€. Compared to avarage Belgian restaurants wich are overpriced and off very low quality, this was a great experience for is!!!

The place doesn't look like much, but the food is good. We had grilled chicken and it was good and juicy. We are probably not the only ones who liked the food, as many of the locals came by and picked up food. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Today I left this establishment thinking how only a bad employee can go spoiling a "house." My parents used to come to this restaurant. They have always been well served to this day. But since there had been errors in the accounts before, we were more attentive. And a bottle of water (which is served in a glass bottle without label and without seal) was in the bill for 10€. I went back and the lady who always treated us with some arrogance, only replied that a bottle of water could not cost 10€, which was wrong. In addition to not having an apology request, he presented me with a corrected invoice in which the water cost 1.20€, but gave me only 7€ of difference to say that it would be the difference from one invoice (51,80€) to the other (43€). Unfortunately, 1h30 waiting for the meal that didn't come, I sympathetically asked the maid if she could check my order and arrogantly the answer was "when out came out!". I got up from the chair and left, without lunch, I found 1:30 too long for a mixed grill, I was never antipathetic to you. The disorder is remarkable, the house has no capacity to receive customers, do not recommend and also will not come back! Quick and delicious meal

We normally come on Saturday evenings with friends. We’ve been eating here for years. The chicken is always good and so are all the sides that come with it. Their sangria is our favorite. They also have a good wine selection. Good prices. Friendly helpful staff. Our favorite server is Ana with her dry sense of humor! This is where the locals eat.

A very nice place, restaurant wioth moren then one room. The lunch room was a few steps down in the back of the restaurant. A real portuguese restaurant with an old man behind the grill and a jolly figure doing the service. The food was plain and good for lunch. I had borrego (lam). They serve salad. A great cheesecake with coffee and cognac made my lunch festive. And the bill was really cheap.

Need food and little time, this is the place

If you liked BBQ chicken, visit here, its quick but very friendly and efficient service and lots of food, and all for very little money. After a long day and if you are hungry this is the place to kill those hunger pains. the basic tomato salads are lovely good wine choices too and the chicken disappears very quickly it is that tasty.

Local food treasure & cool staff

This place is a local treasure! And for me it was advised by a local ;) It offers a massive feast for hungry good food lovers, and it is genuine it is simplicity - because it is not over-fancied, but just genuenly excellent quality food without exaggarating things. And the stuff makes you wanna come back - they are more like hosts of the house taking care of you, not just doing their job, so you are having real fun - just like visiting your mom &/or dad for a dinner at home :) Definately coming back whenever nearby!

Really nice family style restaurant

We went to this restaurant at lunchtime, and we had a really nice time. It's that sort of place that doesn't look like much from the outside, but surprises you in a good way. We ate the chicken, which is the the same style as where we're from, but not quite the same, and it was very good. The staff was super friendly and even helped us with tips about the place we were going to visit after eating. Overall a very nice experience.

Cheap and Cheerful

This is one of our favourite restaurants in the area, it has a massive bbq as you walk in, probably full of people waiting to have take-away chicken or such. Some of the staff speak excellent English, but you can eat starters (the typical Portuguese olives, bread and cheese) 2 mains and wine for well under 20€. We've eaten the bbq chicken, and the lamb chops and all are excellent, accompanied by chips and fresh salad. Well recommended
