Return visit to the Pencil cottage and it was slightly disappointed. Service was fair and though the scone was warm it had a sweet taste. As I have not got a sweet tooth it was overpowering and marred my cream tea experienceMore

This was an unexpected little pleasure. The courtyard is pretty, the service wonderful(especially asking after the dog and providing water and treats) brilliant food and the best price for a crab sandwich on the island. We will definitely visit again next year. Top marks.
