A friend booked this place a few weeks in advance, so the four of us were disappointed to be given a table 12 inches from the toilet door. However, after complaining and a short wait, they moved us to a better table. That was the only hiccup, the rest of the evening was very good. I had the Shish Kebabs, which came as large blocks of tender lamb on suspended skewers. They were tender, tasty and nicely cooked inside with just a hint of black on the outside. Superb food and plenty of it. "Draft" Effes in a bottle (not quite sure how that works), complemented it nicely. My friends were equally pleased with their choices. Very nice ambience with lighting that I've not seen since our holiday in Turkey a few years ago, and staff fairly attentive. Meal was a little pricey at ~ £92 for the four of us with a drink or two each, but not extortionate, expecially for the good food. Other than the table thing at the start, a pretty good place to eat, and somewhere we'll return to.

Dear Sir, We apologise for not initially giving you a table to your liking. We obviously are a very small business and are forced to give this seating at the back of the restaurant to guests of some form or another. You are more than welcome to request not to sit here next time you book. We are glad you enjoyed your meal and hope to see you again. Thank you. Yours faithfully, Lezzet Bistro

First time here for us. Had the Halloumi to start with, which was excellent, followed by two vegetarian dishes, one predominantly aubergine with pine nuts and the other courgette-based. Both were delicious. After jokingly denying me entry because I was wearing and Olympique Marseille T shirt (he is from Paris and a PSG fan) the maitre D made us feel very welcome and was attentive, without being obtrusive. The decor was very classy and the overall ambience was perfect. We went there at lunch time, but would happily go in the evening, when the restaurant would readily lend itself to a more intimate atmosphere. I really do not understand the reviewer who described Lezzet as 'expensive'. We took advantage of the current government scheme, but would have happily paid full-price for such an excellent meal in lovely surroundings. Quite the best restaurant I've visited in Scarborough, since Guatelli's, in Belgrave Crescent, closed. Will be returning very soon.

First thing to say is how efficient and organised this beauty of a bistro was. Especially given the current climate and the superb half price dine in government offer. I can only Imagine how hectic the hospitality industry had been so far this month, and dealing with such huge demand must be very challenging for the staff. So well done to the staff for maintaining a professional yet friendly manner. The general feel of the bistro is welcoming and makes you feel like your dining on holiday. I had the prawn and mushroom starter which was to die for....the sauce was soooo nice! Then moved onto the lamb hanging kebabs..and wow! Both the taste and presentation of the whole dish was just perfect and you can tell the chef puts a lot of love into his dishes. They had a nice variety of gin which of course I had to try! Only thing I’m gutted about is they are fully booked up the to end of August Monday - Thursday for the half price dining. However I don’t mind going outside of these days and paying full price and it is absolutely worth every penny. Thanks again and we will be back!

We visited last night for an evening meal, rang a couple of hours before and got a later table. There was a 16th birthday party just leaving and we were seated quickly. The waitress (blonde hair in a pony tail with glasses) was brilliant nothing was too much trouble, she explained the dishes and how they were cooked. We had stuffed mushrooms for starters and I had the parmesan chicken for main and my partner had the chefs special the lamb version, I had a taste and it was absolutely amazing I was hoping he was going to leave some but didn't. Everything was beautiful and I couldn't fault a thing. We will definitely be back!

We returned for our second visit & were delighted again with the whole experience. Courtious service and excellent cuisine. Lady Walker is both vegetarian & gluten intollerent & was well sataified with the choices available. The restaurant is small, maybe 35 covers & only a small kitchen, the result is service can be slow but well worth the wait. We shall cxertainly return, Booking for weekends are absolutely essential.. We have been here five times in the last two months since it opened. Every meal has been simply wonderful. The service is very good indeed with staff looking after you very well. On yesterday's visit the waiter remembered that my disabled son likes his drink a certain way after he came for his second visit. The food is superb. The first three meals I had were excellent but the last two times I have had the same dish. We eat out in Scarborough a lot and now Aberdeen Walk has, in my opinion, the best two restaurants are in Scarborough, Lezzet and Florios. The only downside is that it is not large and as the word gets out it can only get busier. Thank you Lezzet for the wonderful meals you have given me in the past few weeks.

Absolutely superb meal this evening. From the opening welcome, our dining experience was excellent. The meze platter starter was terrific - varied, tasty, plentiful and well presented. Our mains of chicken shish kebab and salmon were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly and attentive throughout. I would thoroughly recommend dining here.

We tried booking Lezzet's a couple of times while we were staying in Scarborough but they were fully booked each attempt. We were walking by one of the evenings and tried our luck and the server who greeted us told us that they were fully booked in side but could make a table outside. The rain looked like it would hold off (1% chance said the app...) and just after we ordered the rain came down. This was no issue for the staff, they moved our table under the canope and we stayed dry. When the food came it was simply brilliant - we had the lamb tandir and although they had run out of mash potato it was still very nice. Served with seasonal veg, it was a delight to eat and we were completely stuffed.

Fantastic meal. The food was beautiful, very talented chef serving traditional Turkish cooking. Lots of choice for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Children’s meal was excellent value and quality- never seen my children leave such clean plates. Turkish coffee and Turkish delight finished it off nicely. The service was great, very friendly and efficient. Wonderful experience overall and we will definitely be back soon.

Lovely cosy restaurant, with very friendly staff. The menu was very good, loads of choices, my husband had the garlic mushrooms to start with and I had the houmous and olives, which were both delicious. I had the Lamb Tandir, which was gorgeous and my hubby had Chicken Shish Kebab, which was presented beautifully and tasted really good. It would have been a 5* but, we ordered a bottle of Malbec for £28, which turned out to be one we buy quite often from Co-Op for £9, yes we accept that wine is always marked up, but, they’re usually bottles you wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to buy in the shops for yourself. ….Ignorance is bliss! Definitely would recommend a visit

Myself and partner had a table booked at 2:30pm, we booked this on Monday afternoon. We arrived five minutes early, our table wasn't ready, we were quite happy to wait outside. We were then called in at 2:30, and seated on a table for four, there were just two other tables occupied in the restaurant when we walked in, and the far right of the restaurant was empty the whole time we were in there. We ordered our meals, deciding not to have starters. We also ordered a bottle of wine, I would say, that took about ten minutes. We sat and waited for our wine to arrive, it didn't, and 20 minutes later I asked a member of staff where it was. Finally we got a drink, along with a jug of water. Just after getting our wine the mains arrived, in total I'd say we'd been in there 35 minutes now. We finished our mains, plates were cleared and we were asked if we'd like dessert, we ordered and within seconds of the staff member placing our order he came back over to us, he said...I don't want to rush you, but, you have 20 minutes left of your allocated time, my first reply was, we had sat here for 20 minutes waiting for a drink. He went on to say, each table is given 90 minutes, my partner said, well, our table was booked for 2:30pm, that's what time we were seated, when he approached us, the time was 3:25, we had been in the restaurant for 55 minutes, so, according to their 90 minute per table policy, we had 35 minutes left. We were then told, it was because the table before us had over run, how could this be? Why didn't they tell that table, about their 90 minute policy? Instead they chose to spoil our meal. All of this, and we hadn't even got our desserts yet. Desserts came, we actually didn't feel like eating them. The same member of staff came back and said, don't rush, we have done some jiggling around. I pointed out, that we weren't going to rush anyway, and told him to leave us to get on with our meal, after all, this was eating into our allocated time. Dessert plates were cleared and we were then told...this is what we tell all our walk ins. This man, was the person that actually took our booking on the Monday afternoon, he was also the man, that went to check we had a booking when we arrived. He then pointed out that they have done some jiggling around, I replied, realistically, that jiggling should have been done, before we were approached, that would have been the professional way to deal with a situation that was no fault of ours. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers, totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and show's lack of organisational skills, and bad management.

We booked at short notice on a Monday night and they were able to fit us in at 6pm. That told us a lot about the popularity of this great little bistro. The food was excellent - nice garlicky home-made hummus for me to start , followed by a wonderful imam biyeldi - velvety aubergine with a caramelly skin generously stuffed with pine nuts and fruit Bursting with lovely flavours and texture , I didn’t want it to be finished. My partner had a beautifully tender lamb dish sprinkled with toasted almonds and we looked on with amazement At some of the beautifully presented plates coming out of the kitchen for other diners. The staff were pleasant, prompt and efficient . The bill ( 2 courses with drinks) came to just over £70 for three Very good value and truly delicious food. Highly recommended.

Best meal we had during the half term break in Scarborough. We had the mixed meze platter to start, the kids had halloumi and garlic bread, the garlic bread came part of a kids meal deal. I had a mixed grill, my wife and son had a shish kebab each. The whole meal was outstanding, well cooked, great tasting and excellent service. Biscoff cheesecake to finish.

Great Service and even though the restaurant was busy there was screening in place to comply with Covid 19 regulations. The food was excellent and served piping hot. The men in the party had the mixed grill which was very large with lots of different meats on it. Ladies had the hanging chicken kebabs which were served with the restaurant special tomato dip and garlic mayo, both really excellent. The rice & salad were also cery nice.

Visited on the 1st of August. When we arrived they had hand sanitizer to clean hands and each table had screens between. Following the precautions I felt the safety for customers was paramount . We were seated and given time to look through the menu . We was given the option of the daily special too. The meals arrived within a short time the restaurant is small and did start to get busy. I ordered the chicken shish kebab which was delicious. Plenty of chicken , rice and salad . Also had a side of vegetables and chips. Would definitely dine here again . It’s a shame I don’t live closer.
