We truly enjoyed our 8-course tasting/sharing menu. Each course was unique, beautifully plated, and well seasoned. The portions left us very full at the end of the night. The service was also very friendly and the restaurant was accommodating of diet restrictions.

This was our first visit to Vaaghals so we didn’t know the concept until we sat down. Once we figured it out we decided that the easiest thing to do was to order the 4-dish set menu for 6 which was reasonably priced at NKR...895 per person. Of the four dishes I thought that the third, the skate wings was the best so it was a shame that we had to wait more than half-an-hour for it to appear after the 2nd dish had been cleared away. For this reason I marked the restaurant as only 4-star. The service was very good and they have an excellent wine list. Finally I found the tasting dessert rather odd; we ordered 2x portions of it but there was not 2 portions of every item included on the large plate they served and I couldn’t understand the Maitre ‘D’s explanation of why not!More

Our group of four chose the eight course tasting menu. A number of the courses were outstanding, in particular the monkfish. What was interesting enhancing the experience was the fact that a number of dishes were placed on a sharing board so you could mix...and match the delicacies. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.More

Food service is appallingly slow. Dinner started at 730 pm and my second course of four arrived at 9 pm. The food is good but the restaurant is let down by the pace of the presentation of the meal. I was not the only diner...irritated by this.More
