My sister and I went to Cafe Central on 25 Dec 2018. It was an pleasant place and the interior deco brought us back to the early 19th century. After lined up for 45 minutes in the cold, we were served at the very back...More

Tourists lined up in the cold before the doors opened and lined up all day. Would be much more welcoming in the summer. Food especially desserts and service very good when you got a table. Enjoyed the visit would not return

We tried to visit twice; clearly it’s a popular destination and you should expect to queue a bit. Once in you get a sense of Viennese class. The counter gives you a flavour of what’s on offer; admittedly I was expecting more options from the...More

I give it 5 stars for the experience and the venue. Worth queueing up to get in, it's beautiful coffee shop. Expensive coffee 6 euro is just too much for a small black coffee, so please review your coffee prices and don't take advantage ....More

This famous traditional café with its 130 year history was first opened in 1876 and at the turn of the 20th century it was a popular meeting point for leading lights in the world of art, literature, politics and science such as Arthur Schnitzler, Sigmund Freud, Peter Altenberg and Leo Trotzki. Then, like today, the legendary literature café was a meeting point for all ages, regular guests, Viennese locals and visitors. Unique architecture combined with the best coffee specialties, classic Viennese cuisine and finest home-made pastries make every visit a special experience. Daily Live Piano Music from 5pm on! Reservations are strongly recommended to avoid waiting time - upon availability. Many thanks in advance for your understanding!
