We followed the positive reviews for this place which was close to our hotel and we were not dissapointed! It's quite frankly some of the best food I've ever eaten abroad. We ate here twice in our seven day holiday.
The layout of the restaurant is both causal and cosy and well staffed by lovey knowledgable staff who were quick to point us in the direction for both choice of food and the wonderful Cypriot wines which are great value for money. The menu is varied and the food is simply sublime. I highly reccomend the suckling pig if it's available.
Reserving a table is essential.
I would be remiss not to give a special mention to the Proprieter's son ( whose name I forgot to get ) but he looks like a late 70's Billy Joel who runs the joint so efficiently and made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much.

Very pleasant dining experience!
Took my girlfriend here for our 3 year anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Service was excellent on a hot day they accommodated us very well turning fans straight on and overall service from drinks to food coming out was second to none. Beef stifido and the mixed grill was excelling value for money and complementary pita bread was a perfect starter, will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone visiting the local paphos area.

Agree with most of the reviews, really nice friendly restaurant, good menu and good food. We had mixed platter to start then I had lamb and my partner had sea bass . She said it was excellent I thought if being picky maybe could have had a bit more lamb in the dish but sauce was lovely. Wine we asked for nearest to a Sauvignon blanc and they suggested one at €21 euros which was nice. Plenty of choice on the menu so we will go back

We ordered souvlaki and had it served with mashed potatoes ?!? The staff ran at the table ALL the time and several times we were interrupted in conversation for them to pick up plates, glasses as soon as you had taken the last bite, or ask if everything was okay 20 times, or wipe the table while we ate, which they did twice?!?
There are plenty of other restaurants with equivalent food but where the staff at least let you eat alone.

We arrived as a family with 2 children
When we entered, the waiter had a sour face, brought us to the table and immediately grabbed the plates and the amount from the children claiming that it would be very expensive if it broke.
When he asked if we wanted a drink or a menu and we asked for a menu he said ok and turned around, when the food arrived I had to ask for plates and an amount for the children and he was surprised that they were eating with us.
The food is not tasty, everything with one spice, sour hummus and tahini.
We asked for a fan for the table, he took it to another table of an adult couple and brought it to us, we felt very uncomfortable.
And the price, it's better to go eat on the boardwalk.
Not recommended with children, or as a couple, or alone.

Visited last week to celebrate my wife’s 50th Birthday. I emailed 2 months ago to see if I could book a table whilst on holiday with 15 other friends. Their response was swift and they couldn’t do enough to make everything specia. They even helped by decorating our table and area as a surprise for my wife. The setting was stunning and Hemma (owners wife) went above and beyond to ensure we wanted for nothing. From arrival to departure, staff could not do enough for us and even after living in Cyprus in the past, the food was without doubt, the best meze I have ever had. As a big group I thought there may have been a few issues but 12 of us had the meze and 4 had dishes from the a la carte menu. Everyone of us commented on how good the food was. Drinks flowed all night and when the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the outstanding value. Hemma even came out with a birthday cake and gave my wife a gift just before we left. If you are in Paphos you absolutely have to visit. You will not find a better example of Cypriot hospitality, good food or outstanding location. Thanks for making everything so special. I will certainly be back next time we are in Cyprus

Because of all the reviews made a booking , well after placing an order, the waiter returned to say there was no more vegetables and therefore would my wife have a salad with her fried Fish meal.
l had the lamb speciality of the house , which was far far from special, the tablespoon full of rice was cold, the lamb tasteless.
Ordered coffee which came up in odd cups , my cup was Pyrex and stained.
On paying by credit card you are first prompted to put in a 1 to 5 number for the tip, 1 being no tip

Hit this restaurant on a Tuesday night & was advised that they had suckling pig available. Normally you have to prebook the suckling pig dish. Atmosphere here is beautiful, spotlessly clean, tidy, efficient, nice distance between tables. Service is excellent. Food was delicious, the suckling pig was excellent. All in all would return again & again.

Another year and another visit to this perfect restaurant. Just had the best ribs ever, tender and fall off the bone, the taste was out of this world. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this place high on anyones list to visit if you want tasty food thats value for money . Cant wait to go back for our last night before going home.

One of our favourite meals of our holiday. Food presented with attention and care. Booked by phone and it was busy when we were there. Service very attentive and friendly & very switched on to allergies & intolerances. We enjoyed starters and mains and received advice on wine to select to complement the food. Local wines flavoursome and well priced.

This restaurant is a cut above most other restaurants in Paphos that we have tried. It’s a little way outside the harbour area of Paphos, nestled in a street with other restaurants. It’s been in the family for years, and it is clearly doing something right to have lasted so long. Mains of beef stifado and vege moussaka were very tasty and nicely presented, and traditional Greek starters were well executed too. We would definitely come again, but we’re staying outside Paphos.

We found Michael's by chance while out walking, looking for possible places to eat. It is up a side street, past a number of other restaurants. As we stood outside, looking at the menu, two different tourists passed by and said how good the place was. We went back the following evening to eat and were not disappointed. We ordered seafood meze for two. It came with a starter of dips which being unprepared for what was to come, I ate far too much of. The table was barely big enough when the meze dishes started to arrive. It was a wonderful mix of prawns, fish - fried and steamed - mussels, calamari, squid. It was not just the quantity, quality was great. Service was great and the price very reasonable compared to other places we had eaten. We ended up going back on our last night but went for usual starters and mains this time as the meze had us beaten, in a good way! Repeat performance in terms of food and wine quality as well as the service. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great to return to this lovely restaurant in September, receiving a warm welcome from Hema and staff and the meals are just as delicious as we remember. They serve suckling pig on Tuesdays and Fridays, but it has to be pre-ordered or you will be disappointed on the night. Some people think Michaels is under different management, but it's still run by the same family. George works in the kitchen now, but still comes out for a chat and his mum and dad are still around too. Michaels isn't easy to find, but if you turn up a side road next to Gemons bar (near Alexander The Great Hotel) it's only a few minutes walk and is the last restaurant on the left. Highly recommended and well worth a visit. We look forward to returning next year. Bill and Judy.

Excellent service and authentic Cypriot/greek food which was exactly what we were looking for. Waiters were very friendly and enjoyed a bit of banter. Portion sizes were very good and fully recommend visiting as a chance to get out of the all inclusive hotel buffets!

Good food, Fresh, tasty and plentiful. Good service. I would go back! My pork chop was excellent cooked and served on a sizzling side dish.
