Beautiful island of Astipalea surrounds this traditional Greek gem. Located in the area of chora and the iconic windmills. We had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Quickly becoming our favorite, we returned multiple times during our stay on the island. From generous portions...of home made saffron cheese ravioli, lobster linguine, fresh grilled fish, octopus, calamari, lamb, Greek salads, and tasty appetizers to name a few were enjoyed. THANK YOU AGONI GRAMMI for the memories. The friendly staff is eager to please and make your dinning experience one of the most memorable on the island . Highly recommend this little gem. We will be back !More

Positioned in a very nice spot of the island's capital (Chora), offers a variety of seafood cooked in a modern way. Service was excellent and prices were moderate to high but, given the quality and the menu (mainly fish), this is justified. I would definitely...suggest.More

My visit started off well enough. The waiter was efficient and friendly. The salad and craft beer I ordered were both good too. However, the rabbit stifado I chose as a main was a different story. In Greece, no matter what meat is used for...stifado, the one ingredient that defines the dish is baby onions and there were none! Not. A. Single. One. In addition, the meat was all from the backbone/ribs, which meant little meat and a lot of tiny bones. When I had finished, a member of staff asked if I had enjoyed it and, when I said "no", she replied "Of course you did", as if I was joking, which suggests a certain level of arrogance. The waiter who had originally taken my order then appeared and said he had forgotten to let me know that they were out of onions!!! If you are out of onions then you simply don't put stifado on the menu! The final indignity though was having two euros deducted from the cost of it - so I was charged 10 euros instead of 12 - when the bill arrived. I have no words!!!!More

A local recommended Agoni Grammi to us for our first dinner on the island and we were bowled over. Fantastic experience from start to finish - amazingly located on the Chora, such beautifully presented food and wonderful staff. The Astypalitiki salad, tzatikiti and octopus stew...were fresh and flavoursome but the tuna fillet was the stand-out dish. I only wish I’d dined here more! I’d return to Astypalea for here alone. I’ve dined at some incredible restaurants island hopping across the Greek islands but this is one of – if not the most – memorable meals I’ve had in the Dodecanese to date.More

Absolutely Fantastic! The only place to eat on the island! Conveniently located at the windmills in Chora. Outstanding fresh food: fish, goat, chicken, veal, incredible homemade pasta, savoury desserts. Tasty appetiser starter of fava, taziki, tomato ( it changes) with fresh bread. I just can’t...recommend a restaurant more highly! I’ve eaten there 5 of 7 days…. Portions are healthy, everything is sooo fresh, the place is spotless, the ambiance inside and out is wonderful, and the music is perfect. The Owner, chef Marula is friendly, engaging, service is spectacular; I just can’t say enough good things about this place.More

I cannot imagine a trip to Astypaela without dining at Agoni Grammi, for us, more than once each visit. We have never been disappointed with anything, from the warm greeting, attentive friendly staff, to the insanely delicious meals. Chef Maroula creates spectacular taste profiles, always...freshly prepared and beautifully presented. We have sampled mushroom in sauce and smoked eggplant meze, beer and prune braised pork shank, Goat in lemon and lamb. So far! Average place for food. Nothing too bad and nothing too good. Big minus that the pasta with shrimps was not as it should be. It seemed that the sauce was not made with shrimp bisque but the shrimps were just thrown into the tomato sauce....Roasted goat was good but the portion was small. The rest was ok.More
