It is a very traditional restaurant with a good selection of fresh fish and meat. In the menu there is also handmade pasta that is very nice. The owner/cook is a woman who really likes her job and it is clear that cooks with love. She generally sits with you and explain all the dishes that she has. The food... More

Enjoyed a beautiful meal carefully prepared by Maroula. A wide variety/selection of dishes, we defaulted to Maroula recommendation and so happy we did; appetizers of spinach pie, mushrooms, washed down with Raki, closely followed by goat and pork, accompanied by Greek salad and wine. Highly recommend you patronize her place, you will not be disappointed...

Chef Maroula is a beautiful lady and you will taste her passion for cuisine with every bite! You will be greeted warmly like a friend and treated to a dining experience like no other. We sampled octopus simmered in tomatoes with ouzo and feta and Astypalia saffron (yes! They indeed collect it painstakingly here in early winter from local crocus!)... More

Lots of tasty meals here. I've been many times and it's one of my fav restaurants. Staff are amazing and service is top notch. Some of my fav dishes that you must try are fava with caramelised onions, pork with prunes, Astypalean spaghetti with goat, cheese balls, cabbage rolls....and lots more. The servings are generous and price is cheap. Lovely... More

I can only join all the praises for Agoni Grammi: Delicious and fine food (try the Root Beet Salad and Octopus in Ouzo-Feta-Sauce!), wonderful service and homely atmosphere - plus very reasonable prizes). A place to come back. Tomorrow, every day...

The best chick pea soup we have ever tried. Absolutely delicious. Maroula, the chef, calls it chickbean soup! Try the Gigandes, the amazing butter beans sauteed in herbs, surely the best you'll ever try in Greece (we tried many in our 2 months in the country). The local cheese and tomato salad, the bread, the hummus, the delicate taramasalata, the... More

We went there twice and found the food to be distinctly average at best. The taramasalata was pink i.e. frozen and from a box, and the seafood risotto included surimi which is essentially synthetic frozen crab meat- and this in an island famous for fishing and seafood. I could go on describing the dishes but it would be a waste... More

The restaurant has been completely renovated in the colours of the island white and blue. Today was the reopening. We had an octopus stew with onions and pasta with frutti di mare, both a very creative and tasteful creation. Local and international guests always come back because of the very personal attention and the excellent kitchen presented by Maroula, the... More

I was in Astipalaia in February, well off the season. This however allows much more personal contact with people and I have to say that the reception I got in Agoni Grammi was really exceptional, I was treated like a friend. Food was delicious, place has a lot of character and is in a perfect location. If I manage to... More

Ate here most evenings during our stay on Astypalea. Very good choice and standard of food with daily specials. We adored the fresh bread loaf and dips as a starter. Excellent value for money, as inexpensive as anywhere during our 4 weeks island hopping
