The BEST seafront location in Elounda! Mediterranean Cafe Bar is a family run business in beautiful Elounda on the water's edge. This is a perfect place to just sit back, unwind and relax. We are famous in Elounda for our great cocktails and beautiful ambience with the most spectacular view over the bay. Come join us at our new seafront seating for a coffee, Mojito, Pina Colada or Meze with wine / beer. We serve breakfast from 10am, and throughout the day salads, pizza, Greek specialties, crepes, ice creams, desserts and wonderful cocktails. Join us for a 'Meze'' platter for 2, with wine or beer for 15 euro up until 4pm. We have a large selection of fresh herbs that we use to make our cocktails whenever possible, flowers and several birds to make you feel right at home. If you are visiting Elounda on a day trip for Spinalonga, it is an easy 50m stroll from the harbour square where you get on/off the Spinalonga boats. Come see us :-) Normally open May to October.

We passed this place walking too and from our apartment every day and it is with deep regret that we didn't make time to go in until our last day. With it's gorgeous location and colourful steps and beautiful decor it really does look so appealing.
We were looking for a light lunch and noticed a sign saying Mezze and beer or wine for 2 people for €10! At that price you just can't say no.
My husband went in whilst I was running errands and sat and ordered our mezze to the waitresses confusion thinking he was ordering it all for himself! Luckily I arrived and my husband had picked the most fabulous seats overlooking the water. Big purple sofas intimately laid out in this oasis of loveliness. We hadn't even finished our mezze and beer before we were ordering a cocktail and they were so refreshing and tasty that we just had to have more and then more!
Take your time to really look at this place and to take it all in, the more you look, the more you see and it really is charming.
There had been heavy rain the night before and the canopy decided to empty it's contents over my husband which made us all laugh and the atmosphere in the place was just so wonderful that I didn't want to leave but after staggering down from the toilets I decided it was too early in the day to be this drunk so we had to unfortunately move on before I had sampled the whole cocktail menu!
The staff are wonderful and really make this place the amazing venue that it is and I really wish them all the success as they really made what could have been a sad last day a really happy and thankful one.

I've been here a few times recently with friends for pre-dinner drinks. Nothing better than some punchy cocktails made by Suzie, with a seaview from a comfy sofa... and relax! The Mediterranean's Mojitos are spectacular (the best) made with fresh mint grown in pots around the bar. The Pina Coladas smooth and creamy are hard to beat. The Porn Star Martinis deliciously full of passion fruit flavour are like a refreshing dessert :) Great bohemian atmosphere along with very friendly service from Meggi and Constantina. Highly recommended if you are in Elounda.

Fantastic views across Bay & friendly service.from Constantina. We visited many times on our visit to Elounda for drinks & breakfast as a half way stop between Elounda Square & our accommodation.
Retro furnishings & music & relaxed vibe.
I hear the Meze is very good value for €10
We will be back on our next visit to Elounda.

the tragedy of the service which made us occupy another table for 2 people, not a sofa on which we sat down in a total emptiness where there was no one.
What a harsh treatment of the customer with no respect and no word.
You had to ask for the menu yourself because you probably did not want to approach

Wouldn’t recommend at all this place. Service was very unpollite when I asked them to replace a juice with a fly that falled into it for breakfast. They shouted at me, denied to replace it and told me they were very busy (eventhough there was only another table to serve in the restaurant). Don’t think I deserve this treatment as a customer, especially when I payed 4€ for it.

Such an enjoyable experience! We ended up returning twice, walking all the way from Plaka both times (about 10km there and back).
The lovely waitress managed to serve all the tables by herself - there are about 8 tables outside, most with really comfortable sofas and chairs - and she never once stopped smiling. They do a really well-priced meze selection for two people, but I opted both times for Greek salad. My husband had an excellent smashed avocado and bacon toasted sandwich on the first occasion, and an extremely lavish waffle, chocolate sauce and ice cream dish on the second occasion.
Would thoroughly recommend this charming little place on the seafront.
It stands out a mile with its quirky decor, and cheerful service. Prices are reasonable too.

We visited this bar twice during the week. The mojitos are really good. Can highly recommended.
Our children enjoyed the freshly sqeeued orange juice and a virgin mojito.
Very picturesque especially before it goes dark.
We loved the friendly waitress Maggie. 😍

This seafront restaurant is the best. I had breakfast at this gem every morning since I discovered the place. The english breakfast, banana flambe crepes,fresh pineapple juice, gyro,virgin strawberry mojito were my faves, and that's alot of good things from one menu. Tania is the best she always has a smile on her face. Even though I showed up late to breakfast sometimes she always accommodating. I highly recommend this place in Elounda!

Ordered frozen margaritas, disappointed when they arrived to find these were just margarita mix poured over half a cocktail glass of large ice chips. Also confusion over how much the bill total was as, after we requested this, it was just given verbally by the waitress with no printed receipt as we have received everywhere else. No receipt of any sort provided after payment either.

Lovely setting, nice waitress but very poor food for the price. A flat uninteresting omelette for €7 and a pizza that was tough and chewy. The house wine was stale, sitting too long in a opened bottle or wine box.

My wife and myself visited here in the summer, calling here in September, for pre dinner drinks with a friend. The young waitress was polite and prompt in serving our delicious cocktails.
Would definitely visit again as the aspect is stunning, service friendly, and drinks tasty

A group of us met up for cocktails before dinner. Beautiful view of Elounda Bay and cosy comfy chairs and sofas, felt like we were in our own outdoor home. Service was excellent and the cocktails were so so good - we had mojitos, aperol spritz and the lovely owner made my friend a special cocktail he usually drinks overseas. We were so relaxed we stayed way too long and were pretty late for dinner ha ha. 100% recommend.

My husband and I have been going to Elounda now for many years. We have a selection of bars and restaurants that are our favourites and go to regularly. The Mediterranean is our favourite place to go for a relaxing atmosphere after dinner, where we enjoy an hour or two of cocktails by the sea.
The Mediterranean is the 3 C's:-
Comfy, Cozy, and Chilled.
The staff/ owner are professional and hospitable, making us feel very welcomed.
We will be back in July for some cheeky after dinner cocktails...

If you’re looking for great cocktails whilst in Elounda look no further. These were the best cocktails we had in the whole 12 days we were in various parts of Crete - they were great value for money and tasted lovely (you could actually taste the alcohol as you should). Katerina was the lovely lady who served us each day and was helpful and friendly.

We were staying in a hotel nearby and casually stopped by for a drink at sunset. Our server called Maggi was super friendly and gave a great seat on one of the retro cool comfy sofas. Dont let the casual appeal fool you, their cocktails are the tastiest in all of Crete. In 10 days we didnt find anywhere that made any nicer ones. They even grow their own fresh mint. We went back several times and would highly recommend you visit too :)
