The place is perfect for any time. Very good environment, very good and professional service and reasonable prices.

Food was excellent. Service was even better. We did not have reservations and every table was full due to the live music that night. We were seated and then reseated once a better table came open near the stage. Wait staff was attentive and quick....Very happy with the food, service and ambience.More
Lamb taste like an ostrid and our waiter was on drugs so not very good thing. If I could give 0/5, I would do that.
We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the host at our accommodation and were not disappointed, although the meals were not what we expected!! We started with a salad of greens with strawberries, apples, feta with dough crisps on top - simple but...so delicious. We followed that with a shared starter of snails, expecting maybe 6 or 8 as we would usually get at home in Australia. The plate arrived with a mountain of snails freshly cooked in their shells with a light crust and garlic butter - very tasty and sooooooo many! For mains, we ordered braised goat with shredded greens and fried potato slices and a lamb pilaf. The goat was delicious and so was the lamb but definitely served Cretan-style - the pilaf was on one plate, accompanied by three large chunks of lamb on the bone on another. We left thoroughly satisfied but absolutely stuffed full - be warned, the servings are very generous. Service was excellent as well.More
A busy and vibrant restaurant at the edge of the old port. The food portions were enormous and my choice of the house specialty of lamb was disappointing - very bony.
Fantastic restaurant. Good selection extensive traditional Cretan - our excellent waiter Manos showed us the open kitchen where the chef had been cooking smoked lamb, pork belly in smoked Cretan herbs all day. Also showed us all the cuts of beef hanging in the fridge....Also a separate olive oil menu - all Cretan oils - we chose one to have with tomatoes, olives & hone made sour dough as a starter then the pork belly. Warning - portions very large & sufficient for 2 people. Beautiful food, good staff & service, lovely choice of Cretan wine, lovely location in the old town. Will bd going back before we leave to try the lamb.More
My friend and I were happily seated at a table indoors however, we were then left to sit there for some considerable time before anyone acknowledged our presence and we requested sparkling water. The first waiter eventually arrived but then there was another considerable delay...before anyone brought menus/wine list etc. We ordered a starter to share (greens salad), main courses of risotto and meatballs, bread and a bottle of wine. The sourdough bread eventually arrived together with a plate of minced mini tomatoes and olives covered with dried herbs and heavily salted. The sourdough bread crust was so tough we were concerned for teeth/fillings! The meatballs were lacking in flavour and the vegetable risotto was disappointing. The starter salad was a strange mix and although we ate the grilled graviera cheese we didn’t really love it. Overall - with the exception of the attention of the wine waiter (although he didn’t return after opening the wine) - appropriate levels of service were completely missing. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and we wouldn’t return. Very sad after our other super eating experiences in ChaniaMore
So disappointed as the restaurant looks lovely. When we arrived the waiter suggested we sat inside as the weather was not great which was fine. We then had to wait a while to be acknowledged and offered a drink. Some time then passed before a...very pleasant waiter offered us menus we then again sat for some considerable time before someone came to take order. A major disappointment was the food iteself - the sour dough had been overcooked and was difficult to eat and the accompanying dip was extremely salty which was true for the rest of our meal. Overall the food was mediocre ( I had the meatballs and my friend had the risotto) but what was most disappointing was the lack of any customer care - we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for some considerable time . We felt completely ignored and quite shocked at the lack of any attempt at good customer service. We will never returnMore
Not Good services, 1 hour to Take our order. Food Alimar Good, Buț full with bons. IF you Visit this plase don’t order lamb
This has been my favourite restaurant since 2019 but it has grown to be the worst ever experience! Such a disaster’ If i have to start some where servers dident pay attention at all, they dident make eye contact at all with you when you...asked about the wine list or food meny. After getting the wine & water to the table they dident poor up one single glass to us, witch we had to do by our selfs. They where sopuse to preper the food by the table and it was just horrible experience where the server seem to want to leave in a hurry. He dident even stay by the table more then 30 seconds for the ”preperation og the meat” Once again no smile or ”enjoy your food”. Then befor serving the maincourse they dident even clear the table from the precourse. So we hade to move the starter plates to the side so the maincourse could be sett down. We dident get any wiped for the lamp cops ether. BUT the WORST part the staff is talking bulls*** about the costumers when they stand outside on the street having a break (waiting on new costumers)! That pisses me off, you should all be ashamed. And not to talk about the guy sick (waiter also) coughing in hes hands and straight out in the serving area infront of costumers. Then serving food not washing hes hands? Where is the manager in this place its a total school yard. I have never experienced such a bad service in my 10 years! And to NOTE i have been a costumer here since 2019! And its cuite expensive place for the service that you get, dosent add up at all!! I will never come back again or recommend this to anyone. Its embarresing who the waiters acts around the costumers. Really ashame since this has been a 4 star restaurant the previous years in my experience. I couldent leave it any faster, athmposfear was s***! Honestly the waiters should take a class in high class service/sense and etiquette! And also i do this for living, i have been working as a waiter/restaurant owner for 12 years. So i hope the owner thats responsibility for hes waiters. Highly over priced for nothing. Dosent matther if the food is awsome you will not eat it if you dont feel welcome.More
Went last night with my family, it all started very nicely with the welcoming dish of tomatoes and oregano, which was very nice, we ordered shrimps as a starter which were nice, however our other starter dish, the mussels weren’t. They hadn’t had the “beards”...removed, which made them rather unpalatable, added to the fact that about a quarter of the mussels were still closed. While we were half way through our starters the main courses were brought to the table as if to hurry us up. When we mentioned the issue with the mussels, the waiter said he’d replace the dish, which we said wasn’t necessary, however a new dish was brought, which was exactly the same as the one before with a very salty sauce again. My wife ordered pork as a main, the sauce was too sweet and the pork had an off putting smell, so only had a few bites and left most of it. I had sea bass which had incredibly salty skin so was inedible, but thankfully the meat was ok. We waited approximately half a hour to get our bill. This was our most expensive and least satisfying meal in Crete.More
We visited Chania during the evening and choose this restaurant among hundred in the same area. Wonderful place with kitchen at view, very good food with high possibility of choose. Grill wonderful, fish very good. And at the end some chocolate bytes offered.
Visited with friends so we get a lot of share dishes to try them. Every plate was better than the other. Little pricy but worth it definately
Following a recommendation, my family and I visited this restaurant and were not disappointed! It is situated on the harbour with lovely views. The service had a personal touch, and the food was of excellent quality. My daughter and I had the best pork dish...we have ever had, the nicest profiteroles (which were complimentary), and the wine was perfect. One of the highlights of our holiday!More
Excellent food with excellent testures!! Waiters there were so kind faboulus and smilie. We had been offered a wonderful treat at the end. This is a highly recommended destination to enjoy your breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner next to the boats of old Harbor in Chania!
