Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although the restaurant looks a bit messy, we had a delicious lunch here for not a lot of money. Waitress was very nice. We had a gyros wrap and falafel wrap, Coca Cola and fresh orange juice for only 11 euros. The plate of fresh fruits was on the house.

I had read the reviews on here before had and decided to check the cafe out- we were not disappointed. Mina who served us was so lovely, she couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The food is great, we had a gryos and the Greek salad. The whole menu was very reasonably priced, the portions are huge (we couldn't finish everything) and the atmosphere was second to none- I cannot recommend the place highly enough for a chilled lunch in a great part of the city.

It was our first wisit here, we had pork gyros, chicken gyros, moussaka, chicken with fries and a greek salad. Everything was delecious and very fresh. And in the end we got a shot off local spirit and a platter of fresh fruit with local pastery on the house. I can't overpraise the service, everybody was extra kind and helpfull. I can only recomend thus place

If you happen to stumble across this little place that is off on a side street near the Temple of Zeus you are going to meet your best friend that you thought you had left behind. Spend a few moments chatting with either of the owners and you'll realize that here are people not only with tasty homestyle dishes but a desire to make sure your dining experiences is a memorable one. The man ( Hargav or something like that, he's Armenian) is a bit difficult to understand but he more than makes up for it in his graciousness and personal attention. I ended up eating there several night and was overwhelmed with the amount of food that I got for a very reasonable price. The food may not be as fancy as some of the restaurants around the corner on the main dining street but I prefer the more simple native food. They have a good variety of items to choose from and will custom make a meal to your taste if you ask. If I ever return to Athens you can bet I will make a beeline to the Victory Cafe to see my newest old best friend.

What an absolutley wonderful little place! We found the victory cafe on trip advisor looking for a cheap eats in the centre and it was unbelievable.
The owners are lovely and couldn't be any more friendly or attentive.
The food was unreal - highly reccomend the stuffed peppers and tomatoes, moussaka and Greek salad. The priced were very good compared with most places around. We had three mains, 2 X half litre of wine + water + 1 crepe coming to 35 euros total.
Couldn't reccomend this place highly enough. Absolutley worth a visit!!

I cannot stress out enough how caring and friendly the owner is, she will make you feel just like at home, she smiles and talks, takes care of you, it really makes for an unforgattable dinner. The food is great and the prices are very good considering the location near acropolis and the city centre. Highly reccomend this place.

This place is so really great! the service was 10/10 and waitress was super friendly. She made all of the food herself and was working really hard to serve everyone while cooking and preparing drink. Prices were unbelievable for the quality as well. Definitely recommend this place.

Perfect from beginning to end! We were welcomed to the place, guided for the food and even made a special fresh mint and ginger tea. The food was delicious and tasted freshly made with veggies grabbed from a garden.
If only I would have stayed longer in Athens I would have had all my breakfasts there.
Highly recommended! Can’t be missed!

We went to this cafe twice while in Athens. I can’t say enough good things about the family that owns the Victory Cafe. So incredibly warm and friendly. Each time we were welcomed to the cafe, given free appetizers, desert cake and shots of Ouzo. The food is very good and very reasonably priced (really too inexpensive especially since the owners give you so much free food/drinks). We felt the need to give a generous tip. Highly recommend!

The Victory is a fantastic café that offers a budget friendly food and drinks range and is located on Filellinon where there are two other cafés.
The Victory has a fantastic outside seating area and superb seating options and staff who make you feel welcome. When we were here we Initially only came for a few drinks to start our day off but ended up staying in here for a few snacks.
The menu on offer looked superb and well priced so we decided to have a refreshing white coffee and a turkey baguette and an excellent cheese baguette. The coffee and baguettes were brilliant as was the service and to finish it off they gave us a local shot of Greek spirit which was a nice touch.
The Victory is a superb café to visit and so easy to find from Philellēnōn bus stop it's a short walk.(This is my first review of Victory Café).

We spent some time in Athens a paid two visits to Victory and what a lovely couple run it. Brother and Sister if memory serves me correct and the customer service is exemplary. Good vibe about the place and decent Menu choices to suit your requirements. We had an early evening meal on on first visit with our food choices being Moussaka and Meatballs. Both very good and tasty with drinks of Greek Beer and Local White Dry Wine. Prices were very reasonable all round and our second visit was just for an afternoon Cold Drink when we both had Mixed Fruits Smoothie which were made to order with fresh fruit. Excellent all round and well worth a visit if you are paying a visit to Athens.

Extremely welcoming atmosphere, excellent hosts, and phenomenal cuisine, as well as drinks. Hosts brought out complementary desserts and shots just to celebrate us being there at the same time as other Americans. Moussaka is perfection, pork gyro is amazing too.

Had the gryos, moussaka and fresh orange juice today and all was delicious and very good value. The owner was also very nice and accommodating and made us feel comfortable. They are still open for takeaway even with the recent lockdown restrictions announced. Pay this cheap and delicious cafe a visit and support them if you can!

We had the place to ourselves when arriving quite late on way home. The chap was very welcoming and immediately looked after us with menus and helpful suggestions.
Choosing tasty cake and drinks, we admired the pretty interior. In no time the goodies arrived and very enjoyable all were.
Friendly and with very good English the server engaged in interesting chat with us throughout.
A grand end to another fabulous day in the city.

This is a lovely cafe run by lovely, friendly people, the generous portions of tasty food left us feeling full and satisfied and a free dessert and a shot of ouzo were kindly offered to us.. the cafe is not far from the Acropolis and other historical sites. Be sure to pay them a visit if you are in the area.

Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
