Wonderful, intimate atmosphere with excellent food and service. The evening starts with a personal welcome, then you are seated and use a letter opener to open the night’s menu. What a fun way to start the dining experience! You can choose the tasting menu or...choose al a carte, a great option for those like me who likely will not have room for dessert. We began our experience with choosing our beverages and 1st and 2nd courses. In addition, we were treated to several surprise courses throughout the meal. We loved both courses and even though we didn’t order dessert, they brought a mini dessert and it was delish! All in all a great experience. Thanks to Sophia and Fernando and the rest of the team!More

An absolutely fantastic meal! All of the staff and service were perfect, both precise and discreet as well as really friendly, no detail was too small. From start to finish the food was gorgeous, hard to pick a favourite but the partridge and the monkfish...were both particularly amazing! We chose the clasique wine pairing, which was beautiful with the food served. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for a brilliant experience.More

This jewel of a restaurant is located in an unexpected, very anonymous street. As soon as you are greeted at the door you enter a very refined ambience and begin to expect a different type of occasion. Sofia, Hugo and Fernando guided us through this...fantastic and flavoursome experience with their expertise. We choose the shared menu and the mixology for the wines, this is our suggestion for a more complete experience, letting the team suggest the right wine for each plate. The food was sublime, a perfect mix of tradition and modern cuisine. I cannot decide which was the best dish, however if you love game the partridge really stood out. They have a very interesting wine list well worth trying. There is more to say on the meal but I don’t want to spoil the surprises for others. If Sofia reads this, we would love to have your wine list. This was faultless from beginning to end and a memorable life moment rather than just a meal.More

A magical and beautiful evening filled with delicious food and handled by exceptional staff. The entire restaurant is an experience. From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave. We decided to spend our 10 year anniversary here and chose to...experience the tasting menu. If you are visiting from the US like we were, we thought twice about our booking because of the distance from downtown porto. Don’t even question the distance because it’s a 5-10 euro trip and absolutely, entirely worth every penny. Sophia and Rui our servers were exceptional, attentive and engaging. Chances are if you’re coming to Porto you’re on vacation. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience a Michelin star restaurant at a beyond reasonable price. Choose the tasting menu, experience elegant Portuguese cuisine and have an evening you will never forget. Cheers.More

Portuguese cuisine, presented creatively, on a high end and by a charming and attentive service. A must see while in Porto! Sophia made the evening even more agreeable.

O Paparico has a very good environment. Well decorated, with very good taste. This is what a dining experience should be like, the food and the wine was a rollercoaster of flavours. (And if the food is good, the bread should be prohibited from being...that good, you simply can't stop eating it.) The staff were so friendly, welcoming and polite. Our host (Sofia Baltar) was amazing, she made us feel so comfortable and took us through our dinning experience with such a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend O Paparico.More

My impression of the restaurant can be divided into several parts. Before that, it was important to note that I was at a restaurant with my partner on her birthday and her impression was not similar to mine. Service: The waiters are very kind and...make every effort to fulfill our requests as much as they can, I would especially like to mention Mrs. Sofia who made an effort to make our stay at the place pleasant. Atmosphere: Very pleasant the place is romantic with pleasant music, it is advisable to ask the waiters to talk to the guests quietly and not loudly because everyone present in the restaurant hears the loud dialogue. The food: Divided into 2 parts Chef who is in charge of the pastries like bread and several other small and delicious pastries given at the expense of the restaurant. Starters were small and tasty. Main courses I did not want pork and there was no main course with beef The alternative was fish. I also did not want fish and I suggested that the chef offer me something creative instead, The waitre informed me that the chef does not have the option to prepare something else except the 3 kinds of main courses that the restaurant offers. Vegetarian dish or other meat other than pork and he also does not have raw ingredients to make me a green salad as a main course !!! So I did not get a main course and had to settle for bread with butter !! My partner ate fish that was delicious to her. The desserts were delicious. Ahh and we got a glass of wine. For all this I paid 151 euros !!! I was amazed. The price was not proportional to what we got. So if I conclude from my point of view on the restaurant the scores are: service - 9 atmosphere - 7, food - 5 value for food - 5. Recommendation - run awayMore

No, there is not but I would advise semiformal would be the right attire. BTW, it gets quite hot. I had to take my summer jacket off after 10 min.

Approximately US$ 465 for two people. This is their six/seven course degustation menu and includes wine.
