Boho Bistro's dishes are a marriage of Portuguese flavours with some Asian influence. And you can see the food being prepared in the kitchen from the dining area, which gives the place an instant buzz, even during the quieter times. At lunch time they have...More

The strawberry gazpacho was good but not my favorite. My fish was delicious but the portions was small and it was by far the most expensive meal in Funchal. The waiter was nice but unfortunatly they seemed understaffed which resulted in so-so service.

Found this restaurant from the Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Really interesting and inventive menu, full of flavour. Highlights included the deconstructed Thai curried Guinea Fowl and the goats cheese, coriander and chocolate pudding (worked so well). Great service (i.e. not too...More

This small place is rather hidden away near the La Vie shopping centre. With tasty Asian influences it makes a refreshing change from Funchal’s standard bistro fare. In fact bistro is too modest a description for this interesting and well-presented food and knowledgeable staff. A...More

This place is a bit hidden but a juwel. The food is excellent and super good quality. Both, fish and meat, was perfect cooked. The atmosphere is classy and but low-keyed and the service is really friendly and attentive.

Small restaurant with perhaps a slightly functional feel to it, in a less trendy area of town but still just a hundred metres or so off the main centre. The menu initially seems simple, and perhaps a bit pricey for the tasting options, but the...More

There are a couple of resturants who display corkage prices for some reason but they all have a good range of wines, mostly from mainland Portugual.
