We booked a reservation night before we came.
We arrived 30 minutes early and they let us in because the place was half full.
We ordered Menu NO.2 sushi combination, it had 30 pieces and the waiter couldn’t tell us what’s in it.
We wanted tap water and they didn’t serve it so we bought water.
The sushi is good and generous.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch on Sunday. It’s a big restaurant with a huge capacity but it was full with a long reservation waiting list. We were told they were full at the door but we said we’d be happy to wait at the bar in the hope they could squeeze us in… they did! We were so grateful. Espeto do sul (translation Southern Skewer) is an interesting concept and one we’ve come across before in Portugal where you have two very different restaurant concepts in one. Here you have beef steaks served on a skewer with all the delicious Portuguese trimmings (sausage, rice, potatoes, veg, cabbage and black bean gravy) or the alternative offer of sushi! We often come across ‘Italian Indian’ in Portugal which seems really strange to us as Brits but it seems to work as these restaurants are always really busy! It was ideal for us on Sunday as Dave wanted traditional Portuguese meat and mountains of potatoes/rice/veg and I wanted sushi, so this was the perfect restaurant for us! The best thing about this place is the bustling lively atmosphere, the food was fantastic but what made it was the buzz! Everyone was happy and having a really good time! We’ll definitely be coming here again.

A marvel. The sushi was 10, the sushi festival is a good option for an all-you-can-eat buffet for several people.

I trully don’t understand how so many people here claim that this is the best meat and sushi they’ve had in Portugal... we have sooooo many better restaurants, that it makes me believe that the people who say this is the best have either low expectations and standards or haven’t tried actuall good places in Aveiro. I asked for the picanha 350g for one person, it was way too soaked in oil, it was starting to make me a bit sick. The guy who served it came for the second time to fill the plate, and 2 minutes later came again when my plate was still full so it was a big pile of meat, instead of just waiting for me to have space for more to be served, it just gave the impression that he wanted to be done with the order. All of the times he served our table he was just incredibly rude. The first time he didn’t even speak, he just came to my side without saying anything, made a sign with his head to ackowledge me and then another one to tell me to pick up the handle with which you grab the meat with. To my friend, when he didn’t pick up the handle right away, he just said very serious without looking a him ‘pick it up.’. So freaking rude. When he came to me the last time he didn’t give me a chance to hold the meat with the handle, and when I carefully put it back down, he says ‘Girl, carefuuuul! You went to grab the handle you went to put down the handle right under this!’ Gave up on the cutting the last meat and just let a big terribly cut chunck of it fall on the plate, gave me a condescending look and left. Are you kidding me? This for 20€, plus drinks? A friend of mine asked for the sushi rodizio, which was over 20€ and after taking their long time to bring the first round of sushi, she asked for another, and then for 20 more pieces that took almost half an hour to arrive and weren’t even 20, far from it, it took so long that the place was about to close so she couldn’t even order more. The sushi in terms of quality is okay, not worth the money, just go to kyoto house or haru sushi and for 16€-17€ you can get the same quality if not better and you can actually eat all of the menu, unlike here.
By far nooot the best restaurant in Aveiro, go to most places in praça do peixe where the fancy and amazing restaurants are and eat what you’re paying for, gran torino for once, just to give an example. I can tell people get impressed with this place because it easily passes as fancy but it’s not the best.

I have visited the site on other occasions, but it was the first time I was quite unhappy with the service. There are thematic days with music but that are only available for those who stay in the room where it is given. We were supposed to have a more lively dinner before we stayed in a room next door and therefore without the promised musical animation.
Although the sympathy of the team is not in question, they did everything to please and even answered some of our requests, the service was extremely fast, so fast that it was not possible to enjoy the food and the taste of the meats, all people in my group got the feeling that the service was being made running and as a result we were all overwhelmed and not satisfied with the dinner. Because of the high values they are practicing and because we are not able to enjoy the meal and the environment, I will probably not return to this place.

On 08/20/2023, around 12:30 pm, my wife and I were present at your establishment, where we had one of the worst experiences in a restaurant. The meats being served, with delay, burnt, and after asking a waitress, we started to receive a little more attention, however, the bad service continued. I spoke with the manager, Mr. Wagner Soares, who simply said to me: _ Today we are in a very “full” day, an absurd answer, because it means that the restaurant has no structure? Falamos com a equipa. Trabalhamos diariamente em prol da qualidade e da satisfação dos nossos clientes e avaliamos cada caso.
No dia 20/08 tivemos uma situação excecional de muito trabalho (ao ponto de termos filas de espera) de muitos clientes com e sem reserva. Demos (como damos sempre) o nosso melhor para servir toda a gente, sempre com o bom trato a que habituamos os nossos clientes.
Sendo nós uma casa com alma Brasileira, queremos que todas as refeições sejam abraçadas pelo bom humor e simpatia pelo qual o povo é conhecido.
No entanto, entendemos que neste dia, devido ao volume de trabalho, o serviço possa não ter corrido tão bem e os clientes também não são todos iguais e, por isso, convidamo-lo para uma nova visita ao restaurante, com a certeza de deixar uma imagem mais positiva nesta segunda oportunidade.

Service was good, our waitress was very nice but the food was a huge disappointment. A couple of the side dishes were way too salty and others were tasteless. For some reason we received 3 different types of french fries and none were very good. The beef was ok but only average for the price. Overall the place seemed a little gimmicky and overpriced.

(Very) positive: a very well decorated, clean restaurant, impeccable bathrooms, attentive, friendly, fast and efficient staff. The meal (rodízio) had a lot of quantity and, above all, a lot of quality. Good meat, without being “soaked” in salt, as is common in many restaurants of this type. I liked it and would repeat it.
Two fixes:
1 - I asked for an individual all-you-can-eat meal, and was left waiting for the picanha, which turns out to be not included. Now, I know it's my fault, because I didn't read all the small print on the menu (it actually wasn't there), but I think that for more than €18, they could at least have warned me when I ordered. I remained acting like a bear, while they sympathetically brought me breasts (four times, I admit, and more would come if I hadn't said that it was enough), waiting for at least one small slice of picanha to arrive...
2 – In the midst of that effective hygiene (no irony, otherwise nothing to notice), 8 people, with children, sat at the next table for at least around 10 minutes, and then, for logistical reasons, I think, they were sympathetically moved to another table. The plates, napkins and cutlery were kept, waiting for the next customers. Now I think common sense would dictate that this trim be replaced…

1 - realmente os nossos colaboradores não entenderam que queria picanha com o seu menu, e serviram sempre as carnes que efetivamente estavam incluídas no menu solicitado. No entanto, encorajamos sempre a que os nossos clientes falem connosco caso tenham alguma dúvida ou pedido, porque teríamos todo o gosto em procurar uma solução para que provasse da nossa picanha!
2 - após falarmos com a equipa ficamos com a ideia de que se tinham sentado na mesa errada (uma mesa de 10 lugares para 8 pessoas) e que os nossos colaboradores lhes pediram para trocar de forma rápida, sem qualquer entrega de comida. No entanto, agradecemos este reparo e já comunicamos esta mensagem a toda a equipa, que terá muito mais cuidado neste sentido.

Spectacular environment, live music, very attentive staff and always at our disposal, we chose the SUSHI MENU2 and it was amazing, everything very fresh with an excellent presentation, dessert we ate maracujá mousse and a pavé was all Wonderful!!

Dinner with a reserved table, which will be convenient, we tried the house's rodizio and the sushi festival. Very good experience, the carvery has quality and variety, everything is well prepared, the side dishes are normal for this type of meal. It's not as good as they say, we had dinner for 4 people (2 couples). Where we ate Rodízio de carne, but we didn't like it. Firstly, they brought the meat very quickly, without giving time to taste the meat. Well, they must have been in a hurry, as we even had to leave so that more people could enter.
And then there was a gentleman there who didn't cut the meat well, he cut it very thickly, being very fast, to the point that we asked him to be careful and cut the meat slowly. I believe it is a good restaurant but we didn't like it.

Indicated by a friend, and being a couple who bask between a fish team and a meat... I think I arrived in paradise absolutely early everyone feasted. Monsieur took sushi and other fish stuff that are very unknown to me for my part between the absolutely perfect accompaniment and quantity and an abundant meat or tt was just cooking as taste, a caipi on top of that and I'm going to dream of it! Excellent! An exquisite combination of rodizio (my husband wanted meat) and sushi (my favorite food), we both got to enjoy what we wanted. A quality-price restaurant that is one of the best I have ever been to. We will definitely return, if we lived here we would be regulars every day for sure. Fantastic sushi (I ordered the festival at my discretion) and fantastic rodizio too. The treatment by the wonderful staff, the waiter who served us (I think he was the one in charge of the sushi service, a shame not to know his name) could not be better, good recommendations, familiar and close treatment, a 10 in terms of staff.

Right at the entrance we were approached by very friendly staff.
We ordered starters, they were very delicious.
During the meal we had a series of meats from the menu that we enjoyed and completely satisfied.
For dessert, the wife ordered passion fruit jam (very good) and I ordered biscuit cake with ice cream, which was not mentioned on the menu, and my request was completely satisfied.
Finally, they presented us with a shot of the house, which was really good.
We had to bring a souvenir from home, two cups, different from the usual.
Thank you all for the kindness and attention you gave to my two little puppies rolling around on the floor. Happy holidays 👍

Every year we come and return to this restaurant!
Always the same smiling and singing welcome!
We alternate between the sushi festival and the meat rodizio and it’s always a treat!!!!
