Wow, this restaurant is just awesome. We were there with 5 people and were seated without having a reservation which was great. The service is great and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with nice Latin music playing in the background. Although the wait for food was a bit long, it was totally worth it. I had the feeling that everything was made fresh, from the tortilla chips to the desserts. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a great Mexican meal with fresh ingredients! Thanks for having us, and we appreciate this place a lot.

Such a great experience, extremely friendly and warm family run business, we visited with a young child and were made to feel welcome immediately. The food was delicious, everything is freshly made and you can taste it! It may take a little while to receive the mains because of the fact that quality food takes time to prepare fresh.. Incredible value for money.

100% Mexican restaurant.
They have variety in the menu. They speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. If you want the spicy dish you have to ask for it because it is adapted for us, without so much spice. My partner and I went on Tuesday night and we were lucky to park nearby. Although they were understaffed that day, I applaud the waiter who went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly with all the tables. The food was exquisite, there was nothing left over on the plate but the drinks were very small. I would definitely return on my next trip to the Azores.
We ordered a starter, superquesadilla and taco plate. We were full and happy because it wasn't expensive, 13€ each with drinks.

We wanted to try this Mexican restaurant because it was close to our accommodation in Ponta del Gada (Azores) and was generally well rated and we are also satisfied. We received a warm welcome with the family and were given more than enough time to choose from the dishes. Moreover, the portions are generous, especially for the children who were hungry but could not finish their plate completely, and both the interior decoration and the music in the restaurant create a fun and tasty southern, Mexican atmosphere. We would therefore recommend everyone to definitely eat there.

We were greeted by Chris, the restaurant owner. Due to a staff shortage when we were there, we watched Chris energetically and single-handedly serve as the waiter, bus boy, barista, and bartender all while smiling and engaging his patrons. Upstairs was the kitchen and “ma,” the cook. Chris would call the orders up to ma, who proved to be an amazing Mexican food chef. Plan extra time here as everything is made from scratch. The chips, for instance, started as homemade tortillas before they were fried. They were like no chip ever tasted. The photo is a wet burrito which Chris was glad to change out the meat for sautéed vegetables. Gracias, Chris.

This is a great place for Mexican food. Delicious cooking from scratch. We tried the tacos, chips, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas. We have allergies to gluten (celiac), peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame and they were knowledgeable about allergies and easily able to accommodate all of us safely. The owner is delightful! Also delicious margaritas!!
They have vegetarian options with separate cooking surfaces- really accommodating!

Nice family business, the service was very friendly and competent. The food is homemade and tastes great (note that a little spicy is already too spicy for some palates). Suitable for vegetarians.
My only criticism is the lighting, this quite garish and dazzling, but should not be a reason to be deterred before visiting :)

We missed a bit of spicy Mexican food and were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. it's the best mexican food we've had to date and we've been to quite a few around the world. they are incredibly sweet and the service is just top notch. it costs 6-7 euros by taxi from the center each way. it is cheap to eat there, there were 2 of us and we ate for 50 euros starter, main course + a jug of margarita and 2 beers and we were full.
can definitely be recommended.

Awful experience. Do not go here. Had to wait 1,5 hours to get our food. We heard the cook yell to the waitress. There was a lot of stress and they could not manage the kitchen. However, after 1,5 hours food was served to us. They don’t serve you nacho’s or tacos but they serve some kind of deep fried dough. I ordered the vegetarian tacos. My husband ordered the burrito with beef and the tacos with beef. The food was tasteless and the smell was horrible. We are seriously in doubt if all is well here concerning food safety. I don’t know if we were unlucky but I would recommend you to not go here. We were here on a Wednesday night. We did not finish the food, paid the bill and left the restaurant.

This restaurant is easily my favourite restaurant in the entirety of the Azores. The host and owner is very welcoming and the food is nothing short of excellent. I felt very at home dining at this establishment, our host, Chris, was very genuine and lovely to talk to. The flavour in the food is amazing. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this place. A perfect meal, and a very good end to our holiday.

I travel to Sao Miguel from Canada as much as I can and I have to visit this restaurant every time. I have talked about how delicious the food is to my friends that they travelled 5000 km with me to taste it. They agreed with me. We went twice in one week plus take out. This time I had the wet chicken burrito and I tried to eat it slowly to enjoy it longer. It was incredible! The wait staff and owner are very friendly and attentive. The chef is from Mexico so it is authentic. The dining room is decorated in vibrant colours and Mexican artwork. I can’t wait until the next time!

All I can say is wow!!
Amazing! I am a fussy eater and also have a severe fish allergy, and we have already rebooked for tomorrow night. The nachos (3dips) are the nicest thing I have eaten in a 4 island 2 week trip to the Azores.

My wife and I came here for a casual dinner during our honeymoon. Chris (the owner) immediately welcomed us with a big smile and sat us promptly!
The food was fresh, simple, and well executed. Chris served us personally and his service was exceptional. We ended up chatting for about 15 minutes after we finished our meal, as he spoke perfect English and was a joy to converse with. Truly one of the favourite people we ended up meeting on our trip!
Based on the service and hospitality alone, I would recommend this place. If you love fresh, simple Mexican food, you will not be disappointed!

Went here on holiday and had a great evening!! The staff were wonderful and kind, and the food was lovely (best tortilla chips i’ve everrrrr had) ! They cater to vegetarians and vegans which was amazing - any dish on the menu can be altered to fit these dietary requirements. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a fun evening out!
