Delicious food and friendly service.
They were short staffed and had no available tables but they did everything they could to serve us a delicious meal at the counter.
The vegan pasta was to die fir and the clams tapas was fantastic value for money.

surfy vibes, good music and very welcoming & on point staff. My boyfriend can be a bit of a difficult eater so we gave the waiter the ‘requirements’ and he made his suggestions based on that. And we loved every bite of it! The menu might be small, but the quality of the food was grande!
Definitely going back for more soon. If even just for the Panacotta.
Covid points - even though it was full house, there was plenty of room between the tables.

Small place, but great offerings & friendly staff. We ordered a pasta bowl (I’m vegetarian), but didn’t quite want something as heavy as what they offered on the menu (it sounded absolutely delicious, but was just too much for us at the moment). They were kind enough to create a lighter version of the pasta for us with veggies. It. Was. Delicious. So so good. Even as good as it was, we could barely get through 1/2 the bowl- it’s quite huge! Writing this review is making me hungry & want to go back for more! Next time I’m in Sagres, I’ll be back for sure. The wines on their list went perfectly with the food too which is always a big deal for me. Yum!

Soup was not hot, no bread served with it.
We were advised that steak for 26 euro was for 2 people, there was not enough for 2 people and just served with a few fried potatoes, no vegetables or salad.
Definitely did not think it was value for money. Glass of white wine was not chilled, red wine was better. Disappointed and would not go back to this place again.

We came here because of the great reviews and possibility of vegetarian options. As I'm vegetarian and pregnant it was hard for me to eat in Portugal.
First I ordered the kombucha, this they didn't have. Then I decided to go for the iced tea (was good). For lunch I ordered the veggie stir-fry, but a few minutes after we ordered the waiter came back saying they didn't have this (which seems odd to me, because it was literally just veggies, and they did have salads and other things with veggies in it, I think they are just not very creative). Then the waiter suggested me taking the Portuguese raclette (Which is something completely different). I ended up ordering a salad, which was good, but it was really just lettuce and tomatoes.
My husband ordered the egg sandwich, he liked it.
They did have a pasta that I could have eaten and would have ordered, but they only make pasta for 2 people.
The food was good, but to say they are flexible, is not true, unfortunately, and that's why I wouldn't recommend it.

We were in the Algarve for 9 days…that is a lot of meals! We have chosen only 5 restaurants to review, all of them outstanding for different reasons. The Hangout, tied for #1, was pleasantly casual (next to a surfer shop) and you could easily miss it driving by. But if you are in Sagres, make a point of going there! Exceptional quality of food and presentation. Wait staff and the chef were fun and friendly (and they spoke excellent English). We ordered the tomato and goat cheese crouton salad (yum!), and the daily special of sliced angus beef, and Philly cheese on a crisp baguette (perfect!) to share between 2 and it was plenty. Then our waiter told us about the homemade pana cotta and we could not resist adding a slice of brownie to that and espresso to top off this excellent meal. The quality of everything, friendliness of staff and perfection of flavours made this a memorable experience that we have been talking about ever since.

It was very busy when we arrived so we had to sit at the bar, which makes conversation a little difficult. The staff was so friendly and nice and they spoke English very well, which we greatly appreciated because we don't speak Portuguese very well.
We ordered wine, beer, and the poor 'designated driver' ordered fresh squeezed orange juice. We also ordered Bruschetta and it was the best ever. The tomato was thick and juicy and, well, it tasted better than I ever had before. I know. I know. It was just a Bruschetta but it was dang good.

Very good pasta and large quantity. 30 € a plate of pasta with clams to eat 2 people hungry, delicious. The children made a great pasta dish with homemade tomato sauce for 2 for 15€ and leftover. Lemonade is bio. The filtered water. The waitress very friendly and nice.

Good food, simple, but great quality ingredients prepared with care (and that feels), great service - waiters took care that we don't waste time on reading a menu and helped to choose right away. Causy chill mood, good relaxing music. A bit pricey.

The atmosphere is relaxed comfortable and the service is attentive and very friendly. This surfer hangout is definitely a must visit, regardless if you surf or not.
The chef himself explained the menu and the daily dishes to us. We went with a variation of gazpacho, created by the chef and it was out of this world.
For seconds we had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich which was amazing. The meat was perfect (black Angus) the chef knows exactly where all the ingredients come from and about the quality of them.

The food in this little cafe/restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Was not expecting rare breed pork on the menu on walking in but the chef seems to source the best possible ingredients and the food was fantastic. The team were very kind to our daughter who was only 6 months old also and the homemade drinks were excellent. A very surprising little gem

An umpteenth extremely positive review about this nice little restaurant, but frankly they know what to do there.
With my girlfriend we ordered the “Liguine allo Scolio”, and there’s no lie, I’m a heavy eater but I was more than full at the end of the dish, and my girlfriend who has a small appetite helped herself several times, whereas she’s more of a doggy bag type, but she couldn’t stop.
Frankly, having made hundreds of Italian restaurants, I don’t think I have already enjoyed this dish as much as on this occasion.
We took a brownie (choco’ fondant) as dessert, to share, and nothing more to say, very good too. We feel that the kitchen is entirely homemade and that the products are very well chosen.
At the service level, the two waitresses who were working tonight were adorable, very smiling and efficient, frankly it is a very good plan, and the prices are very honest for the quality of the overall service.

Stopped for a quick pint and bite to eat since we were starving after our hike and couldn’t survive until dinner. We tried their drunken pig which was very tasty and they suggested adding burrata cheese to the torrada which was excellent. Excellent value for money and very cool vibe at this place.

What a great time we had!
The surf setting, and the view is calming.. the waitresses are very welcoming, smiling, attentive, make the effort to speak French..
And the dish... it was more than a delight, I have never eaten such good pasta, with the desserts, we were able to continue our momentum.
In short, we had a great time, in an ideal setting..
I hope to come back one day, thank you for enjoying us!

Managed to find a trendy surf cafe, very friendly quirky and great food. Made a change to get a Lavazza coffee not Dishwater Delta coffee!!
Hearty tomato soup and chicken and cheese melt baguettes all around.
They also allow dogs which is great as we had 2 small dogs who sat under the table on their blanket.
