Few weeks ago me and my wife were visiting Zaandam. We stayed in the Intell hotel and our last night we had dinner and a few drinks at the bar. We were served by a very helpful blond lady ( don’t remember her name but I know she’s from Croatia). She helped us with our wine decision, which she knew quite a lot about, and completely guessed our taste. We also had a great steak, perfectly cooked and very tender,compliments for the chef. I wanted to have some desert but my wife was tired so the nice lady fixed it for us to take it to the room. Such a nice service. I would completely recommend to visit the hotel and the restaurant is you are in Zaandam , we were disappointed that we had discovered it on our last day.

Perfect for a solo visit. Food and atmosphere.

Being t’he restaurant of the hotel, you won’t feel strange when going by yourself. Perfect for dining while working a bit or just looking through the windows. Personnel is great and food too. Be careful with the 29 € menu since it is a lot of food at the end. I enjoyed the mustard soup (never tasted before) and the salmon (although the side risotto was average). Great place for business or solo dinner.

Wonderful food and service

Restaurant in the Inntel hotel, Zaandam. Delicious Dutch food. Also cocktails available! The waiting staff are friendly and courteous! But pricey but worth it.

Way beyond expectations!

A fantastic three course menu for €30! One of the best meals of the weekend, I think the waitress was fairly new but she did a great job! The mustard soup was a highlight I wish I had ordered it, but the carpaccio was faultless! This restaurant is well worth a visit, it is only 2 stops on the train out of Amsterdam, I will be going back!

Very pleasant for a business hotel

I dined alone here on a business trip (you always have to eat in the hotel if travelling solo, it's the only place you don't look like a no-mates nutter). I was all lined up for another formulaic boring meal, but it was actually very good: a seafood tureen starter, beef for the main course, and coffee with chocolates for dessert, and at 29 euros it was good value. Service was friendly and efficient, and I'd very happily eat here again.

Stopped in for a quick salad and glass of wine for lunch. Service was good and the food was delicious. I had the salmon and shrimp salad and it was packed with the shrimps! Splendid spot sitting on the balcony over the canal.

Tasty food!

We stayed at the hotel and had the honor of enjoying the food here one night. I was actually surprised in how good the food was. One of the better meals we had on our trip. So thank you for that. We had the 3 course menu and ended up being full after the main course so we asked the waiter if we could take the desert up to the room and eat it later, that was not a problem and he brought the deserts on a tray so we could enjoy them in our room. Really nice restaurant and great service.

Good food at good value

We stumbled across this restaurant by chance. We were seated straight away. There is plenty of seating areas for all sizes of groups. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and everything seemed reasonably priced. Service was quick and the staff were very polite and helpful. We got our food fairly quickly and it was well presented and tasty. There is also a full bar serving all varieties of wine/beer etc.

Brilliant service and excellent food

Close to the train station it overlooks the water, cool in the evening, sunny at lunchtime or breakfast. You get the sound of the waterfall which is very soothing. My husband and I were staying in the hotel and would call in for a drink prior to dinner after a busy day sightseeing. Drinks and food all professionally delivered. The staff were all multilingual and were very professional. Relaxed atmosphere but comfortable.

Puur Saen offers great food and service. We enjoyed our food in this relaxing place. The staff were professional and polite. We had nice dessert after our meals. The price of the food is very reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

A more than surprising 3 way menu

Puur Saen is a restaurant wich offers a great dinner for a good price. The staff is very professional in serving their guests. It was a very tastful and surprising experience to have dinner there.

We stayed at the Inntel Hotel, came here and had the 3-course dinner. I had the mushroom soup which was well flavoured and packed with herbs, the fish for my main and the creme brûlée to finish. All the food was good, especially the dessert. Our waiter was really helpful with the menu and getting us the drinks we wanted.

Every meal we had here was fantastic - very eclectic menu, nice slow pace. The staff was great- very attentive and well versed in the menu. Really enjoyed the meals and bar here!
