By chance we had our lunch at Marque. Our expectations were exceeded on all points. From the little teaser that was served in the beginning to the starter, the main and the dessert, all servings were pieces of art. Both for the eye and for the palate... The service and atmosphere are wonderful as well. A beautiful place...

Dining Should be entertainment. Bisides you get topfood presented (Michelin star quality) you get beautifull pared wines. It was an evening full of entertaining with truffels as star-players!!! Thanks chef and staf! I recomend them to everyone who like to have a gorgious diner! Enjoy! Michiel.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and I must say, the food was absolutely exquisite. Every dish was crafted with such attention to detail and flavor, making each bite a memorable experience. I truly believe that this restaurant has the potential to earn a Michelin star in the future. Highly recommended!

Been here before a couple of times. We thought then the place was a little pretentious, then - and it actually still is, which is a pity, for a joint that only a few years ago missed a Michelin star by a hair. The interior is rather bland, for which the wonderfully artsy Fellini-Charlotte Rampling black-and-white photos of lots of rather skinny naked ladies do -alas- not make up. One cook, one host, four guests: service was nice and thoughtful: upon noticing that I gave my oyster amuse away to my table companion (I have a purine problem) another amuse was brought discreetly. Somewhat disturbing and rather unprofessional: a simple orechiette was ordered from the menus main courses However, came the moment of serving, the orechiette turned out to be ... fusilli. Ah, yes: they were out of orechiette - and they forgot to mention that when we ordered, AND during preparation AND during serving. The word 'sorry'was not heard. - An orechiette that was not an orechiette - at 38,- Euro's ( mind you: some fusilli, two green asparagi, two halved and griled artichokes, a little pecorino and some sauce, well made but certainly nothing to write home about) and a well-prepared but certainly not let-us-dance-on-the-tables piece of tarbot (180 grams at 55,- Euros) - not to mention (as I will anyway) the rather expensive bottle of mineral water... - Pity - it could have been much more then just above average. At this price level, we were justified to expect a little more. Nice bread, though.

Whenever we are visiting the Netherlands from Berlin we always drive all the way to Hoorn for the Restaurant of Marc de Korte. His unusual Guerilla-like dish combination, the way he uses ingredients, his love for the products, and the passion he describes something simple like a lemon (but from the Amalfi coast, with a flavor you only find there...) has never been experienced anywhere else. And we find quiet a lot comparison in Berlin....we pray he keeps his magic kitchen up for a superb price-product relation for many more years to come!

Great lunch a la El Bulli! We did have a 5 course lunch, every course was amazing. Chef Mark was cooking relaxed, the food was very, very nice. Want to go back soon.

We were visiting Amsterdam for a few days with our 2 daughters (5,7) and wanted to go to the cheese market and then drive over and see Hoorn. After reading the high praise for Marque ( and eating lots of kids meals, pizza, burger, etc) I booked a lunch reservation after getting the green light from the restaurant that we could bring young children. The experience was exceptional in every way. The presentation of the food was impeccably presented without sacrificing rich flavors. Our server and host was knowledgeable beyond his years and took great care in guiding our dining. He was unpretentious but professional. The food at this tucked away restaurant in northern holland rivaled the best dining anywhere we have experienced on a global level. The pricing was highly reasonable as well. Our girls were very welcome and that meant a lot to us and our ability to enjoy a long lunch with wonderful wine pairings. The chef was engaging when we met him post meal. The town of Hoorn is very charming and if you are visiting Amsterdamm I would highly recommend taking a trip to Marque.

It's worth going out of your way to find this little gem tucked away on a peaceful canal away from the noise and bustle of the main square. Our menu was 'The Italian Job' with small bites intricately and deliciously perpared, each a work of art! mini Negronis, olive oil explosion, Taste of the sea, scallops delicately prepared with watermellon. The star of the show was the red mullet. Go and enjoy!

Stopped off in Hoorn for lunch by chance and so glad we did. Marque Restaurant is an amazing dining experience. Delicious food which is beautifully presented. I can’t criticise a thing as it was all cooked to perfection and accompanied by great service. There is an a la carte menu if you do not have the time to try 3 or 7 courses (we were there for 3 hours to fully experience the tasting menu) Loved it and can’t wait to return 🧡🧡🧡

we were there with a company of 5 people . we noticed a round table what would have been perfect for 5 people . however they had another table in mind for us. the round table stayed empty all evening. 2 other tables were occupied with 2x 2 people so very quiet. the dinner had been OK but not super for what you would have expected for the expensive restaurant in Hoorn. all and all not super.

We went here as a group & had a great evening. The restaurant serves a fixed menu of several, complementary, courses - each coming with a detailed description from our waiter. The service was excellent & the food was amazing. Even though each serving was only small, with the number of dishes you are served, even those with a large appetite will be happy! It is not cheap but it is a unique experience & worth doing at least once :)

I am a gourmet and have eaten in the best restaurants but this one was ouststanding. We tried the 7 course menu and were in culinary heaven. Every dish was a piece of art and a suprise and explosion of our taste buds. This was high class and we want to go back just to have this food again. The service was excellent and super friendly. An experience we will never forget. Thank you Beatrice and Marina

From the start you feel welcome in this 17th century building. Warm reception by the staff. Surprising 3 or 7 course menu with or without wines. But adaptations are no problem. Extensive explanation about the dishes and the wines, very much appreciated. Excellent balance of tastes, also the presentation of the dishes is perfect. Go on like this !
