Just stumbled across this lovely place while in Hoorn for the day. My advice would be to book, we had a short wait for a table, but we were in no rush. We had oysters gratinated followed by ribs, delicious 😋. Staff are very attentive. Just a lovely wee gem to have stumbled across.

This was a very fancy meal for a great price! We enjoyed very much oysters with bubbles and meat and fish for the main course. We loved the interior and the service was just too! Food was fantastic. Definitely coming back!

Lovely stuff at a wonderful Hoorn restaurant. I had the salmon starter followed by the spicy ribs. All served by helpful and friendly staff. They also attended regularly to keep our drinks topped up.

Food was good however the fries and salad only arrived after we'd finished eating the steak and burger. Not sure if I'd return as there seems many other places to eat in the area.

We had a sharing plate - a real meat lovers dream!
The meat was cooked perfectly and so tasty.
Great, attentive service and very fairly priced.

This restaurant has a very big and nice terrace near the train station in Hoorn. Very friendly service.
We both had the sole, three small but nice ones. A little bit too much butter to our taste. Good French fries, some salad. We shared a dessert, sweet delight and to our surprise this included two small glasses with sgroppino, because we wanted to share. This is good hospitality. Nice glasses of Verdecho. Free tap water. Good cappuccino.
Clean toilets. We will be back!

On the only fine night of our stay, we ate outdoors on the edge of the square. The service was friendly and helpful. The menu had ample choice from which we chose some delicious fish. ("Sliptong" in Dutch is sole.) Altogether it made for a good evening.

This is one of those places where you walk in and feel the warmth and coziness right away. It's also one of the most popular places in the city, so reservations are almost always a must, especially on weekends.
The menu isn't huge but there is enough variety that almost anyone can find something they like on it. The meals come with shared sides- usually a bowl of cole slaw, fries, and truffle mac-n-cheese (our favorite!). It is a place you can go with friends, colleagues, or family, including young children. The staff are friendly and efficient.
The spare ribs are a good choice, and I personally like the (main course) salad with steak and avocado.
