Lovely place, staff were really friendly and helpful. We had the power bagel breakfast which was really nice, coffee, fruit juice, a warm croissant and a hot bagel with jam, chocolate, cream cheese, ham and a few slices of cheese. charging points for laptops, and phones also free wifi too! Would visit again.

We were staying at XO Park west and this cafe was a short walk away. The decor was nice and the staff were friendly so we had a good first impression.
There are lots of options on the menu, both meat and vegetarian.
We both had cream cheese options (one pastrami and one vegetable) and chose different cheeses. The bagel itself was warm and the fillings were very tasty. We both really enjoyed what we had. Prices were reasonable.

Lovely bagels to satisfy the munchies. Many different varieties of bagel and also fillings. Nice to sit outside and watch Amsterdam go by.

I've been here many times before to really give a chance to this place.
Bagels are good, the place is chilled, good music and nice owner-lady.
Problem...
If you are not serve by the owner, your overall experience might become a sour one.
There is one waitress that is kinda rude. No matter how nice you address your need, you will feel downgraded and treated rudely... and it is clearly not a single occurrence because it has happened before and I read others customers reviews pointed the same issue.
Is it a dutch thing ? Doesn't she like her job ? I would understand but then she should look for another one as good manners, communication and friendly attitude are the ESSENTIALS when working for the Horeca.
I've been a barista myself and the standards, the politeness and empathy are very low here. To give an example, I've been pooped on by a bird this morning while drinking my big cappuccino. I mentioned it to the lady and brought back half of my untouched coffee ( bird poop in the coffee ...) no gesture, no discount or not even half of another drink, I paid the full price of the coffee! That's it. In that situation I would have provided a commercial gesture without waiting for the customer to tell me more.
Hopefully things might change but not sure that I want to spend my money there again.

Staff is very friendly and they speak english!
Music is relaxing and ambience is awesome

My wife and I and our 4 year old daughter stayed at an airbnb a few min walk away. We liked this place so much we at here all 3 mornings! The food is great, the coffee is great and the staff is even greater! They were so warm and friendly to us and our 4 year old. And the owner has an adorable white doggy named snowball that lays on a dog bed and keeps the customers company. The owner was so friendly with us that she let us store our bags in her backroom until our taxi picked us up 5 hours later....And she refused to let us pay her any euros. If you want a great breakfast with great service and friendly staff, this is your place!

My partner and I just went there, we ordered hot drinks, cakes and I ordered a juice, I specifically said that I wanted the juice first, before the hot drink, when she brought the food, the juice wasn't there, I kindly asked for the juice, the waitress looked at me like she wasn't understanding what I was saying, so I repeated and said what type of juice I wanted and her answer was: "yeah what about it?" And I repeated the type of juice I ordered and she answered " well yeah but you said you wanted it later and I have a lot of tickets so..." She was saying this with the most arrogant attitude while I was being super nice and polite, this is not the way to answer your costumers, you need to teach your workers how to talk to people and I didn't even care if the juice came first or later I just wanted what I ordered, I have never been treated like this in a coffeshop, I kept my cool, in normal circumstances I would have made a huge complaint in front of everybody and left but instead I complained to her colleague who apologized and later brought the juice I ordered, meaningless to say I lost my appetite... Her attitude was so rude, if you're like that you shouldn't be working with costumers, at the end my boyfriend payed and they didn't even give us a discount, not that I wanted it but it would have been nice...never going there again, dutch costumer service is bad, we all know that but this is unacceptable, this waitress should be fired. Thanks for ruining my meal 👍

Went there in the middle of week during lunch time. The place was packed with screaming kids running around and playing with toys apparently provided by the cafe. We sat there for a good while, waiting to be served while the waitress was chatting with other customers (who never ordered anything) and playing with their toddlers.
The food and the coffee, however, is very good, as usual in Bagels and Beans.
Clearly this is a great place to bring your kids without having a to order anything, but don't go there expecting to have a nice relaxing lunch.

Stumbled across this great place. Tasty bagels with a wide selection of fillings, hot and cold. I had the BLT which was very tasty, kids had tuna melt which was served on a bed of lettuce. Great coffee. Good service.

Wow this was my favourite place that I ate in Amsterdam. This particular restaurant is in a quiet neighbourhood where there are clearly many locals around. We saw the homely side of Amsterdam here. The staff were extremely kind and there was the most adorable dog who slept on his bed in the sunshine. The food was INSANE. There is a huge choice of filling and many different types of bagels to choose from too. I thoroughly enjoyed it here. Our pictures were definitely Instagram worthy - for those looking to impress their social media followers!

Visited here twice for breakfast. Fresh bagels, friendly staff & clean premises. Food was very tasty, recommend the BLT. Would definitely visit again
