Great bar inside of Amsterdam Marriott. The staff made this a great place to hang and catch up on work. Ly, our server on two consecutive days goes above and beyond to ensure the guests are well taken care of. Good atmosphere and if you sit near the front window, you can watch the intersection of cars, bikes, and pedestrians all day long.

As guest of the Marriott during our stay in Amsterdam we explores the city by day, but our evenings ended at Sorel’s for a night cap and dessert. The lounge has a variety of seating options and a very modern yet comfortable style. Our bartenders/servers, Aftab & Sherif were super attentive, friendly and overall a joy to converse with about our adventures and backgrounds. Traveling is so rich in culture! My parents and I are incredibly impressed with the exceptional service we’ve experienced. If you’re a bourbon fan, their collections is spectacular; over 13 varieties of top shelf specialties. We can’t wait to try something new tomorrow!

We came in for a casual meal and a drink with our family after a LONG day of sight seeing. Afton and Sharif could not have been more welcoming or better hosts! Even with the kitchen somewhat short staffed Aftab was able to bring my daughter a plate of short ribs she had been craving. Run, don’t just walk, to this awesome little restaurant! Thank you Aftab and Sharif!!

Came in hungry asked in the waitress in the bar where we could sit and she said any table - menu’s at the table.
Then we waited for a looooong time before we could get her attention and order.
We got our drinks and starter came.
They took our things out and I ordered another glass of wine. Entree came and surely the chef could use a scissor (to cut open bags of food and microwave them)
Ravioli was not tasting of much and were soggy and my baby back rib were overdone so it was soft but with lots of small bone parts in the meat.
Half way through the entree I got hold of a waiter and asked if my wine was coming and then it did. Very warm red wine.
Finally after waiting a while we got the waiter to come with bill.
For us it was a quite bad experience both related to the food and service

We were staying at the Marriott so we popped in for lunch one day- our worst meal during our week in Amsterdam. Restaurant was mostly empty when we sat & ordered; a few other couples came in shortly thereafter. We sat and watched those couples get their food; another ten minutes later, our nachos arrived ice cold. I sent them back with our server Laura. I asked for sparkling water, she brought a small bottle of flat water. When the check came, I noted that she charged me for a large bottle of water. Too many careless errors in a relatively empty restaurant.

The BEST drinks in Amsterdam! With the BEST bartender! Juices are all fresh squeezed daily. The bartender is ver attentive and we enjoyed chatting with him (Afdab). Even though this is a hotel bar, I would say it’s a must stop!

Not a guest of the hotel but received exceptional service and guidance! The host at the restaurant introduced us to the breakfast buffet but since we were only looking for coffee, he showed us to the bar/coffee where we were greeted by Ly. Had some good conversations and good coffee. Thank you Ly!!!

Lovely place, with great atmosphere. Lots of places to sit and great variety on menu. Staff were all lovely and helpful. They recommend certain drinks and I would highly recommend the bartenders choice!! Sherif, one of the staff was especially kind and they made a great effort to make us feel comfortable

Went here for dinner at our hotel restaurant. The server was extremely unattentive. Only got to place an order after an extremely long wait and asking for the order to be taken. The food quality was poor - reminiscent of Appleby's or Ruby Tuesday on a bad day.

This place is excellent. The atmosphere is great, the service is brilliant and the drinks are perfect every time. A special mention for Aftab and Ly who both went out of their way to make sure myself and the group were looked after at every opportunity - whether it was entertaining odd cocktail requests (now a firm believer that tequila absolutely belongs in a mojito) or just being there for some great conversation. I look forward to dropping in again the next time I visit Amsterdam.

Sorels bar at the Marriot was excellent . The bartenders Aftab and Shariff were exceptional and offered first class service. They went out of their way to meet our every need . They were attentive prompt courteous and not only offers us drink advice but insight about Amsterdam that was top notch . I travel often for business and rarely find staff that are attentive and helpful to the level of Aftab and Sharif. I often stay at Marriott’s and they go above and beyond the service I have encountered at other hotels . Thank you Marriot for such pleasurable and competes t staff

Ly provided exceptional service. It was a nice spot to enjoy a latte and light breakfast. Ly was very attentive and friendly making us immediately feel welcome despite not being hotel guests. Wonderful, welcoming hospitality from all staff.

Amsterdam Marriott would never be compete without the services of their barman AFTAB!. Aftab is a very jovial and extremely hard working individual who goes above and beyond to ensure the guests in Amsterdam Marriott are happy with their stay. Even on the craziest of days during my work stay at Amsterdam Marriott, Aftab always found a few minutes to catch up. You know that old Comedy " Cheers", theme song, "Sometimes you wanna be where everybody knows your name, Well Aftab once he learns your name, you have a friend. Thank you Aftab for your dedication and hard work. You are an amazing person.

The Sorel’s Bar and Lounge is an excellent place to chill and meet friends. Apart from the warm welcome and exemplary service you receive, the food and drinks served here are excellent.
It is worth mentioning 2 bartenders / mixologists who serve at this gem of a place - the very charming and regal Aftab, and Sharif, who proudly states that Aftab trained him in the refined art of mixology. Apart from being very knowledgeable and adept, they exude an understated warmth without being too intrusive. You can chill and relax with your friends (or by yourself!), and be quietly confident that Aftab and the other awesome staffers are there to attend to your needs.
A must-visit lounge!

Best bar in Amsterdam to lounge,relax with comfy chairs and enjoy high quality liquors & cocktails. What a lovely view @ leidseplein. Sherrif makes the best cocktails with a smile . Perfect sweet and the just the right ammount of lime. The Pampero aniversario on the rocks was also super deluxe.
