Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best shoarma/ Turkish dishes in west, great fresh food nicely presented and very clean and above all delicious. Would recommend this over any other place in west.

Don’t expect a fancy dinner place, but expect a snackbar style with amazing food. I think Bir Tat is the best place in town if your looking for Turkish food.

OmG one of the best restautants of the Netherlands. I really enjoyed my visit here. It was so delicious. I lobed the mixed grill. Two people could have eaten the food. It was so much. Thank you!!

Seems to be a good place, but as foreigner don‘t try to get a table there. They only serve their people. We tried 3 times even with pre-reservation, but we’re denied. A place that is empty every day at 6 to 8 at least feels quite strange that you can only order for take away also during the week.

Not good at all. Save your time and go up the road to Bistro Bos. Went to Bir Tat last last night as a couple. We were acknowledged as we went in but after 15 minutes I went to ask for a menu (in turkish). The waiter was avoiding any conversation and in the next 15 minutes did not bring any menus. So we left. As we got up to go another waiter came nearby and he was smirking. So I think we were being deliberately ignored On the way out I said to the original waiter (I asked for the menu) we had been waiting and he didn't want to speak to me and completely ignored me... I've been married to a Turkish lady previously and so I've been to many Turkish restaurants both in Turkey and Europe. But I've never been treated like this before. I don't normally write reviews but on this occasion I was so taken aback by the attitude. The food maybe nice but the attitude stinks....

In this part of city for the better turkish food you go to this place. And its often really busy. So either wait in the queue or try to make a reservation. Especially around the holidays a reservation is very useful. You dont need to have a turkish background to be able to eat here although you may feel something like that as most visitors do. Everybody is welcome. Its not really a restaurant but more a kind of lokanta (a diner) as the Turkish call it. no alcohol is served and cannot be brought inside as well. The staff is often very busy due to the busy crowd. Yet they do their jobs well. Price vs size is in very good balance here when you like to eat big. Quality is fine and so far never let me down. Its a nice place to enjoy the food and at the same time hangout and chat with friends. Vegeterians and vegans will have a challenge at this place as turkish cuisine contains a lot of meat (mostly lamb) and chicken. No pork is served. From shoarma/döner to kebab to turkish pizzas or some other meze dishes. Most people will find something to their liking. Enjoy the cup of tea afterwards, makes the meal complete. Four stars as you get what you pay for within a good balance.

Skip the chicken doner and try real Turkish food. Bir Tat's 'peynirli pide' is great. Sort of a pizza but only filled with Turkish feta cheese.

After I was waiting for an half hour and still didn't have a chance to see a menu card while my neighbour already finished eating I realised here they don't feel like serving everybody with the same way. What is their criteria? You can find the answer yourself but I don't recommend

the food was nice and the place is easy to find if your in the area near sloterdijk station. i went at approximately 6 pm and it was too crowded. fifteen minutes after we ordered a waiter came and asked us for our orders which is unacceptable, after we told him we already ordered we had to wait another 15 minutes for our food to arrive. the food was nice i liked the lamp which was nicely done as well as the sauces and fries. after we finished the meal i went to pay for it and asked for the price but the guy behind the counter would not tell me in english and kept repeating the same words even though i told him i dont speak english after that he just gave me the receipt which was 33 EUR for two meals which is somewhat reasonable but not cheep. overall the food was good but the service was way below what i accepted after i read the reviews on this site.

It's maybe not the most fancy place but it's very cozy and the washrooms are very clean. The lentil soup is delicious!!!! Best in Amsterdam for sure!!! The service is quick and very friendly. They have Turkish tea in the traditional glasses and they have borek a Turkish filled pastries made of dough. Also for the meat lovers a diversity of plates.

We have been here a quite few times for their 'pides'. From our experience we can tell that the 'kusbasi pide' is a tasty flatbread with a crispy crust and delicious fine cutted meat on top. Along with gozleme and saksuka, once again I treated my belly! If you're looking for a tasty yet affordable pide, I recommend this place.
